Jacksonville Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence has made a notable change to his appearance as he prepares for his third season.
The No. 1 selection of the 2021 NFL Draft has reportedly put on six-seven pounds of muscle, according to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
ESPN has Lawrence listed at 220 pounds, while Pro Football Reference lists Lawrence at 213 pounds. The 23-year-old is 6-foot-6 in height.
The Clemson product had a rough rookie season under head coach Urban Meyer, who didn’t even last a full season in the NFL. The Jaguars hired renowned quarterbacks’ guru head coach Doug Pederson, who quickly turned Lawrence into the star everyone envisioned.
In year two, Lawrence completed 66.3 percent of pass attempts for 4,113 yards and 25 touchdowns against eight interceptions. Lawrence helped the Jaguars to a surprise AFC South division crown, and to an upset over the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Round after falling behind 27-0.

The Jaguars gave the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs a run for their money in the Divisional Round, but Patrick Mahomes and company escaped with a 27-20 win. It was still a highly successful season for the Jaguars, who enjoyed their first winning season and playoff victory in five years.
Lawrence and the Jaguars will open their 2023 season with a road contest against the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 10.
