Getting arrested as a free agent is a sure-fire way to make sure that no team will come calling for you.
Two days after he was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, free agent offensive lineman Will Richardson Jr. was arrested on a DUI charge early Friday morning, St. John’s County records show.
The 26-year-old was booked for a second-degree misdemeanor after refusing to submit for a DUI test after a traffic stop, according to police.
The 2018 fourth-round pick played in 44 games over the last three seasons with the Jaguars and made five starts. Last season, he actually scored a touchdown when he fell on a fumble in the end zone against the New York Jets.
This isn’t his first brush with the law. During his freshman year at North Carolina State, Richardson was arrested and charged with DWI.
