The Cincinnati Bengals shocked everybody when they upset the Buffalo Bills 27-10 as six-point underdogs this past January to advance to the AFC Championship Game during a snow-filled game.
Former Bills, now Colts wide receiver Isaiah Mckenzie described how Buffalo ran plays that may have been too difficult because of mother nature sending snow to the ground during the game.
He even stated that the game would’ve been different if they played in a dome.
“The Bengals ran basic routes, maybe we should’ve did that, ran basic routes,” McKenzie explained to Go Long’s, Tyler Dunne. “Like out routes, go balls, you know, instead of running routes that you have to be going lateral or coming back to the football, or turning and running curls and things like that. If we were in a dome it would have been a totally different game.”
Josh Allen went 25-of-42 passing, his second-most incompletions during the 2022-23 season. McKenzie finished with 2 catches for 10 yards in the loss.
Asked via Twitter what he thought about McKenzie’s assessment, Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase replied, “My first time ever playing in snow bro. just gotta play at the end of the day roun.”

Chase had five catches for 61 yards against the Bills, and scored the game’s first touchdown.
The Bengals are scheduled to face the Bills on NBC’s Sunday Night Football in November. Cincinnati is scheduled to host McKenzie and the Colts at Paycor Stadium in December.
In the meantime, Isaiah Mckenzie is being ripped online for his comments.
