Mac Jones had one of the worst games of his short career on Sunday. Jones finished 14-of-32 for 145 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday’s 33-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium.
“There’s no excuses, and there’s really nothing to talk about. I didn’t play great,” said Jones, who finished with a 31.4 passer rating, easily his lowest of the season (55.2 vs. the Saints in Week 3 was his previous low). “I can play better and I can lead a lot better. It starts with me.”
It most certainly starts with him as one Patriots fan made sure he knew about it.
A Patriots fan named Bobby called into ‘The Greg Hill Show’ on Monday morning and gave us one of the best sound bites of the year with his thick Boston accent as he railed into Mac Jones and Bill Belichick.
“Bill Belichick hasn’t won bupkis without Tom Brady.”
Jones entered the day having completed 69% of his passes, but threw for just 43.7% on Sunday, which came out to be his lowest completion percentage of the year. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong for the Patriots.

The team has now lost 2-straight games after winning their previous five. Jones has thrown four interceptions in the past two games.
Jones, who grew up in Jacksonville. is hoping to regain his rhythm next Sunday against No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars.
