An NFL insider has revealed how big of a role Tom Brady plays within the Las Vegas Raiders organization.
While he’s a minority owner, Brady was said to be instrumental in the team’s search for a new head coach and general manager. The team has hired John Spytek, a former Tampa Buccaneers executive with ties to the seven-time Super Bowl winner, as its GM, while Pete Carroll has been appointed as its new head coach.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Brady isn’t just an influential cog in the Vegas ownership group; he’s running everything. The former ESPN reporter was on ‘The Ryen Russillo Podcast’ this weekend and made claims of Brady being the main man within the organization, as she revealed his TB12 programs are being put in place for players.
“Let’s just start with making it really clear that Tom Brady is running everything in Vegas,” Russini said. “It’s all Tom Brady. I think there’s some rumors, some chatter — I’m telling you, it’s all Tom Brady there. I mean, even his own TB12 programs are being installed, so to speak. Alex Guerrero is out there. He’s going to be working with some of the players.
“He is trying to do it and change the Raiders — and have a tremendous amount of influence on them. I’m sure you and I can probably debate whether or not that’s a good thing or not. My instinct is, yeah, the guy knows how to win, obviously. Why not listen to him? I’d rather listen to Tom Brady calling everything than Mark Davis — no disrespect to Mark. Tom has a thought, an idea; he understands what it takes.”
Tom Brady Has A Busy Offseason Ahead
The Raiders have addressed two crucial vacancies heading into the end of the league year, but they still have a lot to do during the offseason. The NFL Draft and free agency will offer significant opportunities to improve the team soon enough, and it appears Brady will be in the thick of things.
If Russini is correct, the former quarterback with have a lot on his hands and plenty of tough decisions to make.

The 47-year-old’s position as an owner is unlike any other in the NFL, given his role as the No. 1 football commentator at FOX. While the jobs present a conflict of interest, Brady has made it clear that he will not give up his position at the network.
Still, many are of the view that he will be forced to choose at some point.
