The social media wheels are turning like crazy this week.
Last Friday, veteran Patriots QB Cam Newton was said to have left OTA practice session due to a right hand injury and didn’t return. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Newton suffered a “slight bone bruise” after hitting his hand on a helmet.
One Twitter user is calling BS on that story as he is claiming the former MVP suffered the injury during a fight with his brother on Wednesday night.

Nobody from Patriots insiders, reporters, or national insiders have responded to the rumor at all. However, the scoop on Newton’s injury was retweeted by WEEI Radio’s, “Gresh & Keefe.” Take that how you will.
The Patriots have two more OTA sessions before mandatory minicamp June 15-17. ESPN’s Mike Reiss reports Newton “could be shut down” for both OTAs and minicamp and may not return to practice until training camp in late July.
Cam Newton passed for 2,657 yards but only eight touchdowns with 10 interceptions in 2020, while also rushing for 592 yards with 12 TDs.
