Back in January 2019, former Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden was arrested in Texas after driving while intoxicated at a Whataburger. He was said to be found asleep at the wheel when cops arrived and unresponsive for minutes.
TMZ Sports have now received that footage and it is just as insane as described.
The video shows McFadden passed out with his car with police attempting to wake him by striking the window and shaking the vehicle. At some point, McFadden’s foot slips off the brake pedal and it sent his 2019 GMC Yukon into the side of the Whataburger.
Officers were then forced to smash the driver and passenger sides of his windows to get him to wake up. Two officers then attempt to force McFadden out of the vehicle as he resists.
More than a year later and he has found out his punishment after he reached a plea agreement with prosecutors to spend four days in jail. As part of the plea agreement, McFadden will also have to pay fines and fees, and additionally, his driver’s license will be suspended for 90 days.
The Oakland Raiders drafted him with the 4th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft after he had a stellar career at Arkansas. He would go on to play seven seasons with the Raiders before spending his next three with the Dallas Cowboys.
