Late last month, it was reported that one bettor won more than a half-million dollars by hitting an insane parlay during Championship Sunday in the NFL. The lucky winner turned their $20 site credit on FanDuel into $579,000 by correctly guessing the winners and exact score of both conference championship games.
The Bengals rallied to beat the Chiefs, 27-24, thanks to a 31-yard field goal by kicker Evan McPherson in the AFC Championship game to reach their first Super Bowl since the 1988 season. In the NFC Title game, the Rams rallied back from a 17-7 deficit to defeat the visiting 49ers thanks to a Matt Gay’s 30-yard field goal.
There is just one problem about the above bet…It may have been won by a child.
A Twitter thread seemingly confirmed people claiming that to know Jett Honig, the person who won it, was actually underaged.
“That’s my f—ing friend,” one person commented.

“Lmao ur friend is underage and already got found out by Fan dual. He ain’t seeing any of that money,” another person wrote.
Sports Handle did the leg work to find out that Honig is definitely a kid. That further had them contacting Kevin Hennessy, FanDuel’s director of publicity, to find out what was going o.
“The Instagram account is the son of the FanDuel customer that actually placed the bet and won,” Hennessy wrote in an email. “The IG account holder does not have a FD account and did not place the wager and any credit the IG account holder is taking can be chalked up to social media bluster and excitement from his father winning.”
FanDuel will definitely make sure to do their homework to make sure every screenshot that share is a person above the legal age to bet money. This could’ve been really bad.
