Kansas City Chiefs fans aren’t going to be happy with this latest update on Travis Kelce.
The star tight end came up big for the Chiefs against the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend, helping his team progress to the AFC Championship Game. Yet it’s possible that he misses Sunday’s fixture against the Cincinnati Bengals as, according to a report, he hurt his back at the very end of training on Friday.
The NFL Network’s James Palmer took to Twitter to provide an update on Kelce, who he says is listed as questionable ahead of the showdown. The TE was scheduled to speak to reporters on Friday but wasn’t able to as he was having treatment done on his back.
Should the Chiefs line up without Kelce on Sunday, they will have a very difficult time with the Bengals, who were already going to be tough to beat anyway.
It may very well be that the star’s absence proves the deciding factor between the two sides so Chiefs fans probably aren’t going to rest easy until there’s a positive update on the eight-time Pro-Bowl tight end, if at all.
It was already bad having to deal with the news regarding Patrick Mahomes. Now, they have Kelce to sweat on.
