A new update has emerged on Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown ahead of Monday night’s playoff game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Per Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP, Brown was not at Friday’s team practice as he continues to deal with a knee injury he suffered in Sunday’s regular season finale against the New York Giants.
In more encouraging new, quarterback Jalen Hurts (finger) and wide receiver DeVonta Smith (ankle) fully participated in Friday’s practice, according to Jeff Kerr of CBS. So the Eagles will likely have at least one half of their dynamic receiving duo against Tampa.
The Eagles won 10 of their first 11 games, only to drop five of their final six contests. The Eagles finished 11-6 and failed to win their second straight NFC East division crown, which instead went to the Dallas Cowboys.
And so, the Eagles will meet the Bucs on Super Wild Card Weekend at Raymond James Stadium for the second time in three years. Of course, both teams look considerably different now compared to the last postseason meeting.
