Earlier this year, Reggie Wayne wanted to throw up in a good way after the Indianapolis Colts acquired Matt Ryan.
Fast forward a few months and he likely wants to throw up for a different altogether now.
The former Indianapolis Colts legend, who currently coaches the team’s wide receivers, famously said, “It makes me throw up how much he reminds me of Peyton [Manning].”
This week, Ryan got benched for backup Sam Ehlinger for the rest of the year, and Wayne’s five-month old comment has been brought back to life.
Wayne and Manning were of course teammates in Indianapolis. Manning won two Super Bowls, was named a Pro Bowler 14 times, an All-Pro seven times and MVP five times over his legendary career.
Ryan, meanwhile, is a four-time Pro Bowler, one-time All-Pro and one-time MVP award winner. He also was the QB who choked away 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.

The Colts fell to 3-3-1 with their loss to the Titans on Sunday. Ryan completed 33 of 44 passes for 243 yards and one touchdown, but also threw back-to-back interceptions.
In seven games played this season, Ryan threw for 2,008 yards, nine touchdowns and a league-leading nine interceptions. He’s also been sacked 24 times.
Ehlinger was a sixth-round pick of the Colts in 2021 out of Texas. He played in three games last year, but did not throw a pass. During the preseason, he completed 24 of 29 passes for 289 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also rushed for a touchdown.
