Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor could miss some time as a worrying injury update has been released in the wake of his side’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Taylor put in quite a performance on the day as he rushed for 91 yards and scored two touchdowns to mark his first multiple-score outing for the first time since 2021.
With the Colts looking to make a push for the playoffs, they could be without him for a while. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the RB has suffered a thumb injury against the Bucs that requires an additional assessment.
He is now doubtful to play against the Tennessee Titans this coming Sunday.
If Taylor is unable to suit up against Tennessee in Week 13, the Colts will likely depend on Zack Moss to take up the role of lead back. Moss has rushed for 672 yards and five TDs this season, also making 18 catches for 138 yards.
Taylor, meanwhile, has rushed for 414 yards and four touchdowns, plus 16 receptions for 137 yards and a touchdown in seven outings.
