Head coach Mike McCarthy says several players are wearing masks to avoid spreading an illness that has swept through the locker room this week, per team insider Calvin Watkins.
Defensive end Tarell Basham, defensive end Dante Fowler, defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins and cornerback Kelvin Joseph did not participate in Monday’s practice due to illness.
The Cowboys are coming off a dominant 40-3 blowout victory over the previously 8-1 Minnesota Vikings. They are now looking to beat the 7-3 New York Giants for the second time this year, which would have implications for the NFC East standings.
Dak Prescott has 1,132 pass yards for Dallas, completing 67.8% of his passes and throwing eight touchdowns and four interceptions this season. He’s also helped out on the ground with 67 rushing yards (13.4 ypg) on 17 carries with one rushing touchdown.
Tony Pollard has 701 rushing yards on 118 carries with six touchdowns. He’s also added 21 catches for 243 yards (24.3 per game) and two touchdowns through the air.
