It appears Bill Belichick is not as attractive a head coach as he might have thought.
The Atlanta Falcons were reportedly the only team harboring interest in the six-time Super Bowl winner following his departure from the New England Patriots this month. But even they’ve gone in another direction, hiring Raheem Morris instead.
Belichick hasn’t had an interview with any other team, leaving many to believe he won’t land another job in this cycle. The Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders are the only teams yet to hire a head coach, while it is understood that Ben Johnson will be taking charge of the latter.
Things do look bleak for Belichick at the moment, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has predicted that he could end up coaching either one of two NFC powerhouses.
“What if the Dallas Cowboys don’t get it done with Mike McCarthy? What if Nick Sirianni with the Philadelphia Eagles just do not have the kind of year they want? There is Bell Belichick looming,” Rapoport suggested.
Both teams have decided to retain their head coaches after early playoff exits but could possibly have vacancies next year depending on how things go.

While Belichick has gotten passed up on this period, he could turn out to be a premium choice in 2025.
