Ian Book had one of the most forgettable NFL debuts in recent memory last night on Monday Night Football.
Taking on the Miami Dolphins at home, the New Orleans Saints quarterback threw a pick-six on his opening drive, and he was unable to recover from there. In total, Book threw two interceptions, was sacked eight times, and had just 135 passing yards during a dreadful 20-3 defeat.
It was a tough night all around for the former Notre Dame quarterback, but at least he still has the support of his girlfriend, Kendall Moore.
Kendall took to instagram before the game to show her support for her man by sporting one of his jerseys in an IG story:
Unfortunately, the jersey wasn’t a lucky one, as her man lost in what turned out to be a rather brutal performance.
It’s hard to blame Book entirely, though. Not only did he have limited time to work with the offense after being named the starter late in the week (after Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill landed on the Covid-IR), but he also had to play behind an offensive line that was missing several key starters. That should at least somewhat help to explain the eight sacks he took on the evening.
