A blockbuster trade proposal has the Minnesota Vikings landing another playmaking weapon to an already potent offensive unit.
The Vikings are coming off a surprisingly successful season that saw them finish as the No. 3 seed in the NFC with a 13-4 record. However, they were upset at home by the New York Giants on Super Wild Card Weekend.
Minnesota cut fan favorite and standout receiver Adam Thielen earlier this offseason. They used their first-round pick on USC wideout Jordan Addison, giving Justin Jefferson some much-needed support in the passing game.
At Heavy.com, Austin Boyd proposed a bold trade scenario that would see the Vikings land another weapon in Las Vegas Raiders’ star Hunter Renfrow:
“He’s coming off of a down year where he had 36 catches for 330 yards but is just a season removed from catching 103 passes for 1,038 yards. Last season was the first year he had less than 600 receiving yards…
The Minnesota Vikings moved on from Adam Thielen and could use a new slot receiver. If the Vikings were willing to send Las Vegas a 2024 fourth-round pick and a fifth-round pick, that could be enough to get a deal done.”
The Raiders already have prolific set of playmakers led by superstar wideout Davante Adams, 2022 rushing champion Josh Jacobs and free agent signing Jakobi Meyers. On top of that, they got excellent value in the second round by snagging Notre Dame tight end Michael Mayer, whom many projected to be a first-round selection.

With Meyers and Mayer not joining the fold, Renfrow is expendable. But at the same time, Vegas head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler may be keen to retain all the offensive playmakers they can to help new starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
If Renfrow were to hit the trade block, however, the Raiders would certainly make sense as a landing spot.
