The New Orleans Saints could add to their receiving group with a trade that would likely improve their chances of winning their division next season.
The Saints have already taken care of their most glaring issue, having signed Derek Carr as their quarterback following his release from the Las Vegas Raiders. They’re now favored to win the NFC South given their QB situation while they’re also thought to have a very kind schedule.
Should they continue to improve the roster, who knows how far New Orleans could go? They could certainly use a boost at wide receiver and the acquisition of a pass catcher who could exploit the slot would be a huge plus.
Much is expected as Chris Olave and Michael Thomas are both poised to return, but a slot upgrade could possibly work wonders, which is why Hunter Renfrow’s name has been floated as a potential trade target.
How Hunter Renfrow Could Help The Saints
The Raiders WR has been a subject of trade rumors all offseason, with Vegas thought to be keen on severing ties due to the attached cap hit. Saints beat reporter Nick Underhill has pointed to him as a viable prospect.

Renfrow is already familiar with Carr, having spent the first four seasons of his career playing with the quarterback.
While injuries limited the wideout to 10 games in which he made 36 receptions for 330 yards, Renfrow caught 103 passes for 1,038 yards the season before and made the Pro Bowl.
There’s not much time where the Raiders are concerned as they stand to save $11.29 million, but only if the WR is traded before June 1.
