A search in Harris County, Texas for the missing girlfriend of former NFL player Kevin Ware Jr. has led to a grizzly discovery of human remains. Taylor Pomaski was last seen at a house party in Spring, Texas, on April 25 before her disappearance.
The couple, who had been dating for a year, had reportedly been fighting at the house party before her disappearance.
The remains were discovered by Texas EquuSearch personnel, county Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Friday, according to FOX 26. Authorities believe the remains are related to the Pomaski case but were awaiting positive identification by the county medical examiner.
Tim Miller, the founder of the missing-person search group Texas EquuSearch, reported that the confrontation had turned violent.
‘This certainly is in no way going to have a happy ending,’ Miller told ABC13.
Back in July, Pomaski’s father told the station that his daughter and Ware had been dating for nearly a year.

The 41-year-old Ware was arrested in June on a bond violation after failing to appear for supervision earlier in the year. He is considered a person of interest in Pomaski’s disappearance but has not been charged in connection with the case as of yet.
The one-time member of the San Francisco 49ers and the team formerly known as the Washington Redskins remained in custody in the Montgomery County Jail. He is facing charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a first-degree felony; and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony, according to FOX 26.
