The Houston Texans figure to be seeing a plethora of calls from opposing GMs hoping to poach some of their top talent ahead of the trade deadline. Multiple teams are reportedly “in the mix” among teams interested in trading for Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
It’s no secret that multiple teams could use his help and they include the Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. However, the Green Bay Packers are reportedly considered a “dark-horse” candidate to get a deal done.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Cooks only wants to be traded to a Super Bowl contender.
Cooks been traded three times throughout his career and has gone over 1,000 yards in six of his last seven seasons.
The Athletic proposed Green Bay send a fifth-round pick to Houston in exchange for Cooks’ services. The Texans originally sent the Los Angeles Rams a second-round pick when they acquired him in April of 2020 and received a fourth-rounder back as well.
The Packers have not had much success with the WR corps, and getting someone like Cooks involved would help the team tremendously and make Aaron Rodgers’ life a little easier.
