The Houston Texans will be short an offensive player for their Week 15 clash against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon, with tight end Cade Stover being rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery on Saturday night.
Stover, a former Ohio State standout, underwent an appendectomy operation and is expected to make a full recovery, according to the team.
“TE Cade Stover underwent emergency appendectomy surgery last night. He is doing well today and expected to make a full recovery. Stover has been downgraded to out for Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins,” the Texans announced on Sunday morning.

The 24-year-old Stover has made 14 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown in a Texans uniform this season.
