The Houston Texans gave a concerning injury update on rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud following their stunning Week 14 road loss to the New York Jets.
Per Adam Wexler of SportsTalk 790, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans announced that Stroud will enter concussion protocol. The rookie standout left the game in the fourth quarter after his head hit the turf.
The Texans lost 30-6 to the slumping Jets on Sunday, falling to 7-6 on the year. The loss put a giant dent in Houston’s playoff hopes, and they blew the opportunity to tie the Jacksonville Jaguars (lost to the Cleveland Browns) for tops in the AFC South.
Houston will visit the Tennessee Titans next Sunday.
