Nick caserio knew what was coming and decided to address the controversy surrounding Deshaun Watson.
During the start of the press conference for new head coacg David Culley — Caserio didn’t even wait for reporters to ask him about the disgruntled QB before he reiterated his stance of having zero interest in trading him.
“Organizationally, want to reiterate our commitment to Deshaun Watson,” Caserio said. “We have zero interest in trading the player.”
He then added the team looks forward to spending more time with Watson this spring.
“The best way you handle relationships is to communicate and be honest and forthright.”
Watson has reportedly not spoken to the GM nor the owner Cal McNair. It was just last year when he signed a four-year deal worth as much as $177 million heading into the 2020 season, paying him $39 million a year.
