We have never seen a lawyer quite like Tony Buzbee who is putting himself in the forefront of the case against Deshaun Watson. When he’s not praising himself or talking about how he is handling death threats, he tends to drop important nuggets on the building case against the Houston Texans quarterback.
On Saturday, the Houston lawyer took to Instagram yet again and stated they will try to get criminal charges filed against Watson.
“Per advice from a well known criminal defense attorney: Our team will be submitting affidavits and evidence from several women, who had experiences with Deshaun Watson, to the Houston Police Department and the Houston District Attorney, on Monday morning. We will request that a grand jury be empaneled to consider the evidence we provide.”
Tony Buzbee said during a news conference Friday that he will be filing an additional five lawsuits against Deshaun Watson.
Buzbee also said he has spoken to “more than 10 additional women” who have come forward with reports about similar conduct from Watson after encounters.

He also revealed Watson’s representatives have known about the allegations for more than a month.
“We actually had contact with Deshaun Watson’s agent/lawyer from Los Angeles, who minimized these allegations, who did not take them seriously,” Buzbee said. “We wanted to resolve this matter without a lawsuit, without any publicity. We knew that once we filed a lawsuit — Texas, of course, has an open courts provision in the constitution, so all lawsuits are public. We wanted to avoid that.”
