The FBI is now involved in the Deshaun Watson sexual misconduct case, according to Houston attorney Tony Buzbee.
Buzbee — who represents the more than 20 female massage therapists who have alleged Watson was inappropriate with them — made that claim on Tuesday.
“They contacted me and I’ve met with them three times now and now they’ve met with several of the plaintiffs in the case,” Buzbee said.
“Let’s be clear, when somebody comes into your office on the 73rd floor of the Chase Tower, whether they’re the FDA or the FBI, it’s a big deal,” Buzbee told Amy Dash of leagueofjustice.com. “Well, it was the FBI. . . . They contacted me and I’ve met with them three times now and now they’ve met with several of the plaintiffs in the case.”
Buzbee also said he spoke with an Assistant United State Attorney, and that she told him, “”Well I just want you to know we are not gonna waste your time.’”
Watson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, said in a statement, “I have absolutely no reason to believe that Deshaun is being investigated by the FBI.”

He added, “Mr. Buzbee’s comments are just part of a long, continuing pattern of just trying to harm Deshaun in the public perception. It is despicable conduct and I hope one day people will hold him accountable when the whole truth comes out.”
Watson, who reported to camp July 25 after requesting a trade in January, practiced for the first five days of training camp, was not on the field for the next five days and then returned for all four days of the third week of practice.
He currently faces 22 active lawsuits with allegations of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior.
