Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was up to his usual antics while his team played the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
The AFC supremos pulled off a 22-20 win over their NFC counterparts that had McDaniel feeling himself.
At one point, HBO’s “Hard Knocks” caught Hall of Famer Dan Marino on the sidelines meeting with captains Tyreek Hill, Tua Tagovailoa, and Xavien Howard. The Dolphins legend told Tua to “go get their a-.”
McDaniel was behind the players and was heard jokingly taunting Marino as he put a target on the former QB’s records.
“Our captains are really F- ing good players,” he said. “Holy S-, look at these F- ing studs. Yeah, Dan Marino! F_ your records, Dan. We’re coming for your records, Dan.”
That’s very unlikely to happen this term, though. Marino has the franchise record for the most passing yards in a single campaign, as well as most touchdown passes with 48. He reached the milestones in the 1984 season when the Dolphins went 14-2 and went to the Super Bowl, where they lost to the San Francisco 49ers.

Tagovailoa is currently on 4,214 passing yards and 26 touchdowns. He would need to have two insane games to knock Marino’s records down.
