Legendary NFL quarterback Brett Favre went super viral in the last few days after revealing his endorsement for president heading into Tuesday’s election. The former Green Bay Packers star and Super Bowl champion announced that he’s supporting President Trump for re-election.
“My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech & religion, 2nd Amnd, hard working tax paying citizens, police & military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me & these principles, my Vote is for (Donald Trump),” he tweeted.
As expected, he was blasted and praised by thousands of people. Among those criticizing Favre is notable actor Bradley Whitford.
Whitford, best known for his roles in The West Wing and Get Out, sent the former NFL quarterback a message on Twitter.
“Don’t talk to us about freedom, Brett Favre. FFS. You support a President who is doing everything he can to make it harder to vote. And pays $750 in taxes. And spends over $350,000,000 of taxpayer on golf. And says McCain isn’t a hero. And those who serve are suckers and losers,” he tweeted.
