The big money continues to roll in ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl battle between the Cincinnati Bengals and the hometown Los Angeles Rams. But here’s one wager you may want to pay some extra close attention to.
According to the Review Journal, the same bettor who placed a $522,500 wager on the Rams -4 last week — which caused the line to jump to 4.5 — has placed another identical wager on the Rams. And once again, he has caused the line to jump back to 4.5.
It comes from a man who Caesars Vice President of Trading Craig Mucklow called, a “highly respected” bettor. He even went so far as to say that the guy is “money.”
Both of his $522,500 bets will earn him $475,000 each if the Rams win by more than four points — with a four-point victory for the Rams resulting in a push.
According to some of the biggest sportsbooks in Vegas, he’s not the only sharp player who’s going with the Rams in this one.
BetMGM Vice President of Trading Jason Scott said, “We are one week away from the Super Bowl and early sharp action has been on the Rams and the under.” However, they anticipate the public to back the Bengals as kickoff nears, with the over likely to receive a lot of love as well.
Super Bowl LVI kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Expect plenty more big wagers to continue to roll in. Drake already showed his cards when he posted his massive wagers on his Instagram account:
