Amazon Sports is reportedly set to lose the highest-ranked female in the sports broadcasting space.
According to The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand, Marie Donoghue, the company’s vice president, informed her team of her intention to leave via email on Thursday afternoon.
This development comes on the heels of Marie reacting to Amazon’s announcement of a 24 percent increase in viewership for ‘Thursday Night Football’ from 2022 to 2023.
The TNF games brought in an average of 11.86 million viewers on Prime Video this season.
“What a great way to end 2023 and start 2024. So proud of these results and all the folks who contributed,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
“Thank you and congratulations to the entire Amazon team — your relentless focus on quality, delivery and innovation is unmatched. Thank you to the NFL for your unparalleled commitment to partnership. And thanks to all our customers — you are why we do what we do.”

There was nothing on Donoghue’s reason for opting to leave Amazon at the time of writing. It will be interesting to see where she heads next.
