Henry Ruggs has accepted his punishment.
The former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver pleaded guilty on Wednesday in a 2021 drunken crash that killed a Las Vegas woman and her dog.
The 24-year-old pleaded guilty in Clark County District Court to one count of DUI resulting in death and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. He now faces three to 10 years in a Nevada state prison.
The judge in the case set his sentencing for Aug. 9.
Until then, Ruggs will remain under house arrest with alcohol and location electronic monitoring devices until then.
It was back in 2021 when Ruggs was driving drunk and reached speeds of 156 mph seconds before crashing his Corvette Stingray into Tina Tintor’s Toyota RAV4.

Several videos showed him speeding as well as the aftermath of the accident. TMZ released a video of the car on fire, but without audio, since the woman who died could be heard screaming for her life.
Tintor, 23, and her dog Max died from thermal injuries, a coroner ruled in December 2021.
Ruggs’ NFL career was already over before this guilty plea. Now, this just puts the final nail in his coffin.
