Could Ray Lewis actually try and comeback to the National Football League? That is what he had Twitter users thinking this week with just one reply.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer, who hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2012 season, responded to the NFL on CBS Twitter account publishing a video of some of his most vicious highlights.
“Should I pull a Brady?” Lewis asked his fans.
He is clearly referring to Tom Brady retiring in February and then coming back to the league the very next month. Coming back as a QB is a lot less demanding than it would be for an aging linebacker.
It’s best that the 46-year-old Lewis stay on the sidelines and enjoy his retirement. He has nothing else left to prove.
In his 17-year career, Lewis broke the NFL record with 2,059 career combined tackles, including 1,568 solo tackles. He also had 41.5 sacks, 19 forced fumbles, and 31 interceptions.
