It’s been almost a week, but the chip block that Leonard Fournette delivered on Micah Parsons remains a hot topic.
Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed recently sat down to discuss Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette’s controversial block on Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons on Sunday, and why he believes it was a cheap shot.
“The guy was engaged with the tackle, he had his hands on the tackle and if I’m not mistaken, you cannot do that,” Reed said about Fournette hitting Parsons.
“It was a cheap shot, it was definitely a cheap shot. I don’t think Leonard Fournette is a chea shot guy.”
On Sunday night, as the Buccaneers were thrashing the Cowboys in their NFL season opener, Parsons was blocked by a lineman and Fournette came down the pike and trucked him.
