Ben Roethlisberger has made a career of geting on the field despite the numerous injuries his body has gone through. However, his left knee that he hurt against the Cowboys in Week 9 is starting to become a lingering issue.
According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, Roethlisberger’s left knee “has become a source of greater concern within the Steelers organization, sources said, further limiting the quarterback’s mobility at a time when Pittsburgh is throwing the ball at an alarming rate.”
The 38-year-old quarterback entered Sunday with a league-high 484 passing attempts, including 196 pass attempts just in the last four weeks.
The Steelers lost their first game of the season last week to Washington, after Roethlisberger threw the ball 53 times.
Roethlisberger hasn’t been sacked since Week 8, but with limited mobility, they could easily change tonight.
While he was on the Steelers injury report again this past week, he was only listed with a “not injury related” designation.
