The last thing the Cleveland Browns need next season is unnecessary attention, and Deion Sanders is trying his best to ensure that doesn’t happen. A new rumor is out that the Colorado head coach has made it “clear” that Shedeur Sanders will not play for the Browns.

With the number two overall pick in the draft, the Browns could do just about anything, but many expect them to take a quarterback since Deshaun Watson is unlikely to play much of the 2025 season due to his second surgery.
Most experts have their choice between Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward.
If the above rumor is true, they will be led to Cam Ward if they choose to go that route.

Where Will Shedeur Sanders End Up?
The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching.
For much of the 2024 season, Shedeur was making it clear that he would love to play for the Giants and Raiders, but that was when both teams seemingly lost enough games to secure the number one pick. The Giants are at number three, while the Raiders dropped to number six.
Unless a trade is made, those options may be out the door.
The Tennessee Titans have the number one pick, and it is obvious that Will Levis is not the guy going forward. A quarterback is a strong need.
Mel Kiper revealed his NFL Mock Draft 1.0 for the 2025 edition, which had Shedeur Sanders going No. 3 overall to the New York Giants while Ward went to the Giants.
He has Sanders’ Colorado teammate Travis Hunter going at number two.
So right now, without trades, Sanders is going No. 3 to the Giants, per Kiper.
