When it comes to catching footballs and running over defenders, Rob Gronkowski is one of the best there is.
When it comes to simple math equations, the Patriots tight end is one of the worst.
Gronk’s horrible math skills were on full display last night when he sat down with the NFL Network crew to talk about his most recent Super Bowl victory. After reminding LaDanian Tomlinson and company that he now has three rings, rather than just leave it at that, Gronk unleashed some wild mathematical equation to try and explain how he got to that number:
Pretty much, Gronk and his buddies believed that because he had only played in half of the Patriots’ games during their 2016 championship season, that only counted as half a ring. So Gronk previously had one-and-a-half Super Bowl rings, which gets rounded down to one ring. But now that Gronk has added yet another Super Bowl ring to his collection following last night’s 13-3 victory, he now has 2.5 rings. And for some reason, while 1.5 gets rounded down to one, 2.5 inexplicably gets rounded up to three.
Confused? Good. So are the rest us. And this is why we all love Rob Gronkowski.
Never change, Gronk.
