FOX’s Greg Olsen is being rinsed by fans online after displaying some poor football acumen during the Thanksgiving Day fixture featuring the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.
The Packers got the jump on the Lions pretty early, leaving them chasing a multiple-score lead for most of the game. That meant head coach Dan Campbell had some tough fourth-down decisions to make in the fourth quarter. But Olsen couldn’t seem to understand why he kept going for it in such situations.
He didn’t get why the Lions went for it on a 4th and 7 from the Packers’ 31-yard line while down 29-14 with 14 minutes left in the game, though it seemed pretty obvious. Maybe he felt like it was too early, but the Lions needed two touchdowns and they needed it fast.
Detroit ended up with another 4th and 7 at the Packers’ 12-yard line several minutes later, so Campbell kept his offense on the field, again confusing Olsen, who in turn left fans confused.

Well, it wasn’t his best day.
It wasn’t Campbell’s either. The Lions ended up losing 29-22, failing to get the separation at the top of the NFC North while Green Bay has managed to keep their season alive.
