Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander has been mentioned frequently in trade rumors over the past few weeks, but opposing teams better not get their hopes up of landing him.
Speaking to reporters earlier this week, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst was asked if there was any consideration about trading the All-Pro cornerback.
Gutekunst quickly responded with “No, no.”
In the 2022 offseason, the Packers signed Alexander to a lucrative four-year contract extension worth $84 million. Since his arrival in 2018, the Packers have won three NFC North division titles and appeared in two NFC Championship Games.
The Packers made a surprise return to the postseason in year one of the post-Aaron Rodgers era with a 9-8 record. They stunned the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round and nearly upset the San Francisco 49ers a week later, falling 24-21 at Levi’s Stadium.

Green Bay is simply a better team with the two-time Pro Bowler on their roster, so it’s no wonder that Gunekunst is seemingly not willing to shop him.
