The Green Bay Packers have to feel good going into the 2024 season, and one current player would love for Davante Adams to feel the same way.
The Las Vegas Raiders’ All-Pro wide receiver, Davante Adams, missed out on the playoffs for a second straight season.
Making things worse is the Las Vegas Raiders losing their starting running back this offseason when Josh Jacobs signed with the Green Bay Packers in free agency — and it appears he at least floated the idea of Davante Adams returning to his old team.
Jacobs claimed that after signing with the veteran wide receiver’s last team, he texted Adams to inquire if he was considering returning during Wednesday’s Packers OTAs.
“When I came out here … I sent him the little eyes emoji,” Jacobs said. “I said, ‘You thinking about coming back?’ But man, he loved it.”
Prior to the 2022 season, Adams was moved to the Raiders after spending the first eight seasons of his career with the Packers. However, he is not as consistent as he was in Green Bay, where he was a part of one of the greatest tandems in team history with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is currently with the New York Jets. The six-time Pro Bowler finished with over 1,000 receiving yards in both of his seasons in Las Vegas.

If Davante Adams wanted to leave Sin City, it wouldn’t be easy for him to do so because he has two more non-guaranteed years left on his deal and is scheduled to make $25.3 million in the 2024 season.
In an interview with Raiders teammate Maxx Crosby last month on The Rush with Maxx Crosby, Adams stated that even if his “career went to s–t” after leaving Green Bay, he will “never regret anything” (the interview begins at the 1:50 mark).
Davante Adams Praises Packers Quarterback Jordan Love
Adams has made it quite clear that he’s going to stay on the Raiders and doesn’t want to be dealt.
He did, however, express his admiration for Packers quarterback Jordan Love while also saying he had no regrets about leaving the team.
“At the time when I was (in Green Bay), I hadn’t necessarily seen enough to say this is for sure what I should do,” Adams said of his decision to leave via NFL.com. “But in hindsight, like we talked about, (Love) is a f—— baller, man. I’m so happy for him.
“I haven’t really had a chance to truly sit down and talk with him, but I want to tell him at some point like, ‘I definitely don’t regret changing [teams], but I’m super proud of what you’ve done. If there’s a way I could pull you over here [to Las Vegas] and drag you with me like that, that would’ve been cool, too.’
“Obviously, we saw what he did at the end of the year. I don’t regret what I did, but, at the same time, it’s definitely you look back on it like, ‘damn, that boy kind of balling right now.'”
