Aaron Rodgers’ stint with the Green bay Packers could be nearing an end as a source close to the team has said that the quarterback won’t be returning for 2023.
Rodgers has been with the organization for 18 years and hasn’t played anywhere else in the NFL. But it appears that both parties are keen on moving on. The player has had longstanding issues with management and this offseason wouldn’t be the first during which he’s considered an exit. This time around, however, the Packers are keen on a split themselves.
According to team insider Bob McGinn, the Packers have soured on Rodgers to the point where they’re “disgusted” with the QB.
McGinn cited a source with “firsthand knowledge” of Packers affairs who claimed Rodgers is not coming back and the team is ready to move on from him.
“They are done with Rodgers,” he said on the Go Long Pod podcast (H/T ProFootballTalk). “He’s not coming back. I mean, they’re disgusted with him, and they’re done with him. And they’re moving on.”
The Packers aren’t the only team thought to be disenchanted. Previous reports are claiming that multiple NFL execs do not think the signal-caller is worth the headache.
