With Super Bowl 59 in the books, other than the touchdowns and field action, we wait for the unforgettable one-of-a-kind creativity of the commercials that aired during the game. Here at TPS, we’re going to grade all of the commercials that aired during the clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. Here are the grades for each commercial that aired during Super Bowl 59.

Booking.com (B+)
The Muppets are the stars of the new Booking.com commercial, while they and the people all around them are trying to find the best spot for a vacation, bachelorette party, and much more. A very fun and campy ad by Booking.com, which opens up a nice can of nostalgia for all who grew up enjoying the Muppets.
Bosch (C+)
Antonio Banderas and a man impersonating the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage have a fun time showing the beauty and reliability of Bosch appliances and power tools. A fun commercial with memorable products, but the ad does feel bland at times.
Bud Light (B)
Post Malone and Shane Gillis decide to host a party in the neighborhood cul-de-sac and invite everyone to it, including Peyton Manning. From what we see from this Super Bowl commercial, it’s a very fun party, and we wish we were there. Oh well, maybe next time.

Budweiser (A-)
Budweiser continues to deliver awesome commercials during the Super Bowl. This commercial shows a young horse being told he isn’t ready to make the big delivery with the other horses. When a Budweiser keg falls from the back of the delivery carriage, the young horse leaps into action and does everything it can to get the keg to its destination and succeeds. A great commercial from Budweiser, nonetheless.
Carl’s Jr. (A)
Social Media influencer Alix Earle takes the stage promoting Carl’s Jr.’s new hangover burger. Earle accurately talks about why many will need to purchase this mighty burger the day after the game. Especially for those on the losing side, who’ll need a helpful pick-me-up meal after crying their eyes out. A very fun and well-put-together commercial by Carl’s Jr.
Cirkul (B)
Adam Devine is grocery shopping for Cirkul for him and his wife, Chloe. He wasn’t able to find any at the store, so he decided to order some online. Little does he know, he ordered over 100,000 Cirkuls. However, he was able to get him and Chloe their fix of Cirkul, as well as 99,999 other customers. This is a fun one to watch!
Coffee Mate (F)
Coffee Mate’s Super Bowl commercial starts with a guy on his couch enjoying his cold foam. Then, his tongue tries the cold foam and begins to dance and enjoy the music. His friend then tries some, and more shenanigans ensue. Unfortunately, this ad is very bland and forgettable. Hopefully, the Coffee Mate has more flavor than this, and it could’ve done a lot more with this commercial.
Coors Light (A-)
Coors Light put together a funny and accurate commercial about how we all feel about Mondays. The people are represented by sloths, who take everything in life very slowly. So Coors Light introduced the Monday beer case for those who need a drink to take the stress of Mondays away from them. This is a great ad from one of America’s well-known beer brands.
Disney+ (D)
Disney+’s commercial is pretty simple, but they could’ve done a lot more with it. Yes, we get it. The whole “what if” these iconic Disney moments were not happening would’ve been very different outcomes, but the opportunities were missed. As much as we enjoy Disney content, this commercial was very forgettable. Sorry, Disney, please do better next time.
DoorDash (C)
DoorDash enlists Nate Bargatze, spending money on unnecessary things with his financial adviser, asking if all of his spending is necessary. Baragatze claims he’s saving money while she quits her job at the end of the Super Bowl commercial. Only okay.
Doritos (C-)
This year’s Doritos Super Bowl commercial features a casual scientist by his computer, which informs him there’s a UFO in the area. However, these aliens aren’t here to attack; they’re here for that nacho cheese goodness. The scientist wrestles with the Alien’s tractor beam for his bag of Doritos. In the end, the bag makes the UFO explode, and the scientist and the alien just hang out and share their bag of nacho cheese Doritos.
Dove (A)
Dove’s Super Bowl commercial is very simple yet very powerful. Dove’s commercial empowers women to feel motivated and to keep going in the world of sports. A very simple ad with no narration, but it is extremely powerful for its on-screen message. Good job, Dove!
Dove (B)
Dove airs a men’s deodorant with Marshawn Lynch as its spokesperson. In the commercial, Lynch talks about how the new spray deodorant protects a man everywhere and almost anywhere, whether you’re hiking, at a restaurant, on a bus, and much more. A decent Super Bowl commercial, but a very cool product and an even better spokesperson.
Dunkin’ (B+)
In this wild Dunkin’ commercial, Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck recruit Jeremy Strong to join their team. In the dressing room, Strong tries to become one with the coffee as he’s a method actor. As the Affleck brothers want him to hurry up, Strong says he’ll be ready in three hours. Don’t ruin the work of method actors, Ben.
Duracell (C)
Duracell debuts a new spokesman, the Duracell Scientist, played by Laith Wallschlenger. The Duracell scientist heads into the NFL booth and gets some new batteries in a battery-less Tom Brady. Once the new batteries were put in. Kevin Burkhardt asks Brady if he’s okay, and TB12 replies with, “Why does everyone keep asking me if I’m okay!” A cute ad, but Duracell could’ve done a lot more with this ad.
FanDuel (B+)
Eli Manning wants to attempt the Fanduel kick before the Super Bowl, while his brother, Peyton Manning, tells him to just stay a quarterback because he thinks he’ll make it. Luckily, Eli was able to make his kick a reality before the Super Bowl, while Peyton missed his kick. The buildup for the momentous FanDuel kick is funny and enjoyable to watch, and we, as NFL fans, can’t wait to see who’ll attempt to make the FanDuel kick next year.
GoDaddy (A-)
Walton Goggins and GoDaddy put together a very fun commercial promoting the company’s new AI. Goggins hilariously walks through a crime scene the police are investigating, drives a race car, and is in space. And the background music is fantastic. Excellent job, GoDaddy!
Google Pixel 9 (A+)
Talk about an amazing, heartwarming, and tear-jerker commercial about a stay-at-home father raising his daughter throughout the years and utilizing all he’s learned in life practicing a job interview with the AI feature on his phone. An immaculate Super Bowl commercial, nonetheless.
Häagen-Dazs (B+)
Fast and Furious stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez live life on the edge in the Fast and Furious franchise. However, in this Häagen-Dazs commercial, both Diesel and Rodriguez take a break from the fast lane, taking a slow drive to enjoy their Häagen-Dazs ice cream. Rapper Ludacris tries to remind the duo about being “Fast and Furious,” but they choose to take things slow for the remainder of the commercial. Nice one.
Hellmann’s (A-)
Hellmann’s Super Bowl commercial recreates the infamous diner scene from the 1989 classic, “When Harry Met Sally.” Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan reprise their roles from the iconic film and enjoy their lunch, where Sally recreates the fake O scene in front of all the restaurant patrons. Sydney Sweeney goes on to say the line, “I’ll have what she’s having,” which was originally said by director Rob Reiner’s mother in the 1989 movie. A truly memorable commercial that will introduce many to the 1989 classic.
Hexclad Area 51 (D+)
Gordan Ramsey is called to Area 51 to use some new state-of-the-art pans, but they turn out to be Hexclad pans, which Ramsey uses all of the time. Pete Davidson also stars in the commercial and tells Ramsey that all famous people are aliens, while Ramsey replies, “Seriously!” A great product, but Hexclad could’ve done a lot more with the commercial.
Hims and Hers (B)
Hims and Hers Super Bowl commercial decides to take their fight to the weight-loss drug industry and how it’s a shame to the American public. Meanwhile, they promote their products in the ad. It’s a well-put-together commercial, although it did draw some controversy before the game from U.S. Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Roger Marshall (R-KS) asking the Food and Drug Administration to investigate the company “Hims” to see if they were misleading patients.
Instacart (A-)
For Instacart’s Super Bowl commercial debut, they went all out with so many advertising mascots (from the likes of Cheetos, the Energizer Bunny, Mr. Clean, the Pillsbury doughboy, and many others) converging to someone’s front porch. An incredible advertisement from a very good company. The ending also has a funny moment with a cow riding a motorcycle to the very same porch.
Lays (A-)
In a commercial almost identical to Budweiser’s, a young girl picks up a potato that fell off of a delivery truck. Unlike the Budweiser commercial, the young girl decides to plant the potato and cultivate it to the point it grows a potato of its own and gives it to a delivery driver. A very nice commercial put together by Lays.
Little Caesars (B)
A very weird Super Bowl commercial with Eugene Levy that shows his eyebrows getting very excited over their Crazy Puffs. His eyebrows creep out a runner, a woman trying to admire someone’s baby, and caterpillars think the eyebrows are royalty. A weird commercial, but it works throughout the ad. When the eyebrows return to Levy, another customer tells him about the bacon-flavored crazy puffs, which raises the eyebrows with excitement again.
Meta (A-)
Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth are looking at art at Kris Jenner’s house with their Meta smart glasses. Chris Pratt’s glasses tell him how valuable a banana duct-taped to a board is. Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth eats the expensive banana, which results in both Hemsworth and Pratt scrabbling to find a replacement banana before they are caught by Kris Jenner. They try to tell Jenner to tell Meta, “Hey Meta, who eats art?” then Jenner tells Meta, “Hey Meta, call my lawyer.” A very funny commercial put together, and major props to Pratt, Hemsworth, and Jenner deserve a lot of credit for their performances in the commercial.
Michelob Ultra (A-)
Michelob Ultra’s commercial was very clever and creative, with Catherine O’Hara and Willem Dafoe joining forces and hustling fellow pickle-ball players for their ice-cold Michelob Ultras. Celebrity cameos include Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss, WNBA superstar Sabrina Ionescu, and three-time Olympic champion Ryan Crouser. An incredibly memorable and entertaining Super Bowl commercial.
Mountain Dew (C)
Mountain Dew put together a very weird yet interesting commercial promoting their Baja Blast-flavored soda. The commercial features singer Seal as an actual seal singing on a rock with a boat tour happening near the rock. Mountain Dew could’ve done a lot more with the commercial, but it was still an interesting ad that will surely live rent-free in people’s heads.
Nerds (A)
Shaboozey is just walking the streets of New Orleans, enjoying his Nerds gummy clusters. After one bite, the fun begins with nerds candy running, putting color all around with trumpets playing, and Shaboozey’s version of “What a Wonderful World” playing in the background. A very fun and enjoyable commercial by Nerds Candy.
Nerdwallet (C-)
A very simple commercial from Nerdwallet, which features Kieran Culkin voicing an intelligent beluga whale who rescued Richard’s phone from being lost in an icy sea. The whale talks about how Richard should use Nerdwallet to look for his next credit card before departing. The service is very good, but the commercial was very bland.
NFL (A)
Veteran NFL stars Adam Thielen, DeMario Davis, and Arik Armstead motivate groups of kids to become the next generation of athletes no matter where they come from, what they look like, and much more in a very powerful advertisement from the NFL to accept people for who they are with positive motivation.
Nike (A)
Nike returned to the big game with an incredible Super Bowl commercial celebrating the accomplishments of some of the most successful women athletes, with WNBA stars Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, and Sabrina Ionescu, gymnast Jordan Chiles, runner Sha’Carri Richardson, and tennis star Aryna Sabalenka. Just like the Dove commercial, this commercial is very powerful and motivating for all women athletes.
Oikos (B+)
Oikos put together a very fun ad with Myles Garrett, who is hurt, has a cast on his leg, and is about to miss his flight due to a gate change. Or is he? Luckily, Juno Temple had her Oikos and helped Garrett reach his gate so he could make his flight on time. A very fun commercial by Oikos.
On (B+)
In this Super Bowl advertisement from On, Elmo tries to remind Roger Federer that he needs to relearn his ABCs because the O on the On logo looks like an upside down Q. It’s a very simple, but fun commercial with one of our favorite Sesame Street characters reminding us all to never forget our ABCs.
Oreo (D)
Oreo takes on the Super Bowl with their new spokesman, Post Malone, as he tries to create the best Oreo ever. It’s a simple commercial, but a lot more could’ve been done to sweeten the message. However, we all still love Oreo cookies.
Pfizer (A+)
Pfizer’s commercial for the Super Bowl is not only amazing, but it’s also inspiring for those affected by cancer, showing you’re not alone in the fight for a permanent cure for the horrendous disease. Putting LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out” in the commercial only makes this ad much better. If there was an award show for commercials, this commercial deserves to win first place.
Pringles (B-)
Pringles’ new Super Bowl commercial was a little weird yet funny at the same time. A party runs out of Pringles chips; the container tells a partygoer to blow in the can. Then, the mustaches of Andy Reid, Nick Offerman, James Harden, and many others grab Pringles cans from the store and fly them to the party. The ending of the commercial is hilarious, with Harden wanting his mustache back, but Offerman tells him he likes the look. As mentioned earlier, it was a weird commercial, but its humor made it work.
Ram (B+)
Glenn Powell tells his niece and nephew his version of the iconic fairy tale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” which features Ram pickup trucks defeating and eating a dragon, creating wood carvings with dual chainsaws, and jumping a volcano with a Ram truck. Throwing the three bears in the final 15 seconds of the commercial is a comical way to end the ad. Fun times.
Reese’s (B-)
Everyone loves Reese’s peanut butter cups. Their Super Bowl commercial introduced their new chocolate lava cups, which look incredible. However, because of the chocolate lava phenomenon, everyone goes to a lava river and tries to eat molten lava, with local authorities trying everything they can to keep the people away from the lava. For the love of all things sane, folks, please don’t eat molten lava. Please eat chocolate lava instead!
Ritz (A-)
In the salty club, Audrey Plaza and Michael Shannon aren’t happy and question why Ritz crackers are so good. Bad Bunny shows up in a happy mood. Plaza and Shannon remind him that if he’s happy, they’ll all get kicked out. Bad Bunny replies with, “So!” which keeps them in the salty club. A very clever ad by Ritz Crackers.
Skechers (B)
Skechers’ ad for the Super Bowl features Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid promoting their slip-in sneakers while Reid promotes his side hustle as a hand model. It’s a fun commercial for Skechers, but you just have to imagine that if Reid did become a hand model, he would soon get a glass dome for his hand like J.P. Prewitt did in Zoolander.
SquareSpace (C-)
Barry Keoghan stars as a SquareSpace delivery man riding his mule and delivering websites to local businesses in old Ireland. Keoghan and his trusted mule walk off the cliffs, continuing their deliveries onward and beyond the land. A good service, but a bland commercial at times that should’ve done more.
Standuptohate (A)
Robert Kraft’s StandUptoHate organization enlists the help of seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady and legendary rapper Snoop Dogg to send a message about where not hating one another and as a wake-up call to combat the rise of hate in America. This Super Bowl commercial has a very strong and important message!
Starbucks (D)
Even though AC/DC’s Thunderstruck is playing throughout the ad, it’s a pretty bland commercial, and they could’ve done a lot more with it.
Stella Artois (C+)
David Beckham is about to enjoy a nice ice-cold Stella Artois with his parents when they tell him about his long-lost brother. Beckham locates his brother (played by Matt Damon), and the two catch up on life and enjoy a Stella Artois of their own. A simple and fun ad by Stella Artois, but they could’ve done a little bit more with it.
Taco Bell (B+)
In Taco Bell’s commercial, Doja Cat wants to take pictures of people enjoying their meals. However, the driver-thru operator wants the rap star away from the fans, as she wants the commercial to be about the fans. Will it stop Doja Cat? Heck no, it won’t!
Tostinos (D)
In an E.T. Extra Terrestrial spoof, Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson are about to say their farewell to their alien friend. However, in a dark twist of fate and humor, the doors of the ship close on the alien, abruptly ending his life. It is surprisingly off-putting for a snack food Super Bowl commercial from Tostinos. They could’ve made something a bit better.
TurboTax (B)
Everyone hates filing taxes. However, Issa Rae and TurboTax team up and remind the people filing with them that you can take the stress off your back so you can relax and have your cake at the same time. Plus, the cake, in the end, looked delicious and was a piece of baking art.
Uber Eats (C+)
Matthew McConaughey takes the Super Bowl on by proposing a movie about a football conspiracy theory that football and food were meant to be enjoyed together from the early days of football to where the game is in the present day. However, one factual detail the commercial got incorrect was that the first official football game wasn’t in 1876, but it was in 1869 between Rutgers and Princeton. Still a good commercial despite that one error.
Weathertech (A)
Weathertech’s Super Bowl commercial featured a few mature women driving around their classic car, living their lives to the fullest, but when things started to fall and go off the rails, the driver reassured everyone that her floormats were Weathertech. A great use of Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild” throughout the commercial and a great job from Weathertech.
