The Divisional Round is officially over, and championship weekend is on the minds of the quarterbacks who pulled off statement wins and have a chance at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in February. Other quarterbacks did whatever they could to help their NFL teams reach Championship weekend but fell short on the field, sending them to the offseason. All eyes will be on the four quarterbacks who helped their teams win in the Divisional Round, with a chance at a Super Bowl appearance in February.
Here are the grades for all eight NFL teams’ quarterbacks after the Divisional Round.
Which NFL quarterbacks have the highest grades after the Divisional Round?
Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson: B
Jackson played a very nice game for the Ravens but wasn’t able to help the Ravens secure the win in their 25-27 loss against the Buffalo Bills. Jackson completed 18 passes for 254 yards, threw two touchdowns against an interception, and rushed for 39 yards on six carries, but was sacked twice and lost a fumble.
The superstar quarterback put in a lot of effort in the game, which will help his chances of potentially earning his third NFL MVP award, but both failed two-point conversion attempts in the second half of the game stung Jackson and the team.
Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen: B
Allen played a very nice game for the Bills and led his team to a very close and impressive 27-25 win over the Baltimore Ravens in a very competitive Divisional Round matchup. Allen completed 16 passes for 127 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions, rushed for 20 yards on 10 carries, and scored two rushing touchdowns but was sacked once.

The star quarterback continued his charge for why he could potentially win the NFL MVP award based on what he could do on the ground, along with having a great postseason so far. Allen and the Bills have a very tough week ahead of them: an AFC Championship rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Detroit Lions: Jared Goff: D+
Goff didn’t play his best game, and it came at the worst time possible, with the Lions losing 31-45 against the Washington Commanders in upset fashion. Goff completed 23 passes for 313 yards, threw a touchdown to Sam LaPorta against three costly interceptions, and rushed for seven yards on a carry but was sacked twice and lost a fumble.
The veteran quarterback needs to make some serious adjustments in the 2025 NFL offseason for a better 2025 regular season if the Lions wish to return to the playoffs.
Houston Texans: C.J. Stroud: B-
Stroud played fairly well for the Texans in the AFC Divisional round, but the team lost a tough and controversial 14-23 battle at Arrowhead Stadium. Stroud completed 19 passes for 245 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions, and rushed for 42 yards on six carries but was sacked a whopping eight times.
Although Stroud didn’t throw a touchdown pass all game long, he did everything he could to keep the Texans competitive all game long. The young quarterback missed opportunities by not having Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell on the field, which affected his NFL team’s outcome offensively.

Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes: B
Mahomes played a decent game for the Chiefs in their 23-14 Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans. Mahomes completed 16 passes for 177 yards, threw a touchdown to Travis Kelce with no interceptions, and rushed for 14 yards on seven carries but was sacked three times. Mahomes continues to be the NFL’s winningest quarterback, helping the Chiefs to victory and keeping home-field advantage at Arrowhead Stadium.
Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford: B+
Stafford played fairly well against the Philadelphia Eagles but couldn’t get the job done for the Rams in their 22-28 loss in a snow-filled Lincoln Financial Field. The star NFL quarterback completed 26 passes for 324 yards, threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, and rushed for five yards on two carries, but was sacked five times, fumbled the ball twice, and lost a fumble.
Stafford played his heart out for the Rams but came just short in the team’s comeback attempt. Hopefully, Stafford and company can get it going in the 2025 regular season and punch their way to the NFC Championship game.
Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts: B
Hurts played fairly well for the Eagles, helping the team win 28-22 against the Los Angeles Rams. Hurts completed 15 passes for 120 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions, rushed for 70 yards on seven carries, and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked a whopping seven times.
Hurts is a great NFL rushing quarterback, but rushing won’t be enough to help the Eagles potentially advance to the Super Bowl. Hurts and the passing attack need to step it up in the NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders.
Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels: A
Daniels played an outstanding game for the Commanders, stunning the Detroit Lions 45-31 in upset fashion. Daniels completed 22 passes for 299 yards, threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, rushed for 51 yards on 16 carries, and wasn’t sacked at all.
Daniels looked like a seasoned veteran on the field, helping the offense ignite against the injury-plagued Lions’ defense and helping the Commanders reach the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 1991 season.
