Week 13 was a very nice and impressive week for quarterbacks, as they led their NFL teams to great wins on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and/ or on Sunday and Monday nights after the holiday.
We’re starting to see who’s likely going to be an MVP candidate and who’ll possibly have an impressive run in the playoffs. However, other quarterbacks struggled and watched their teams implode as they tried to salvage what was left of the 2024 season and finish the season out on a positive note.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL teams’ quarterbacks after week 13.
Which NFL quarterbacks have the highest grades after week 13?
Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray: C-
Murray and the Cardinals played a competitive battle against the Minnesota Vikings but were defeated in a very close 22-23 loss. Murray completed 31 passes for 260 yards, threw a touchdown to Marvin Harrison Jr. against two interceptions, and rushed for 48 yards on seven carries but was sacked once.
Murray played decently well to help the Vikings out on offense but wasn’t able to make things happen in most of the team’s trips to the red zone. Murray and the Redbirds return home for a week 14 divisional showdown against the Seattle Seahawks.
Atlanta Falcons: Kirk Cousins: D-

Cousins had a rough afternoon as the Falcons lost a tough and bitter 13-17 battle against the Los Angeles Chargers. Cousins completed 24 passes for 245 yards, threw four interceptions against no touchdowns, and rushed for three yards on a carry, but was sacked once and lost a fumble, which was recovered by his teammate, Drew Dalman.
Cousins hadn’t thrown a touchdown pass since week nine when the Falcons defeated the Dallas Cowboys 27-21. He failed to capitalize on multiple chances of winning the game. If Cousins continues to struggle, head coach Raheem Morris may need to bench the veteran signal-caller for rookie NFL quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson: B-
Jackson played well for the Ravens at home, even though they lost a tough 19-24 battle against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson completed 23 passes for 237 yards, threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, and rushed for 79 yards on eight carries but was sacked three times. Jackson did everything he could to help the Ravens out, but the Eagles’ offense played a much better game overall.
This game was Jackson’s first loss against an NFC team since week six of the 2022 season when the Ravens lost 20-24 against the New York Giants.
Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen: A+
Josh Allen had an impressive Sunday night for the Bills, as they easily defeated the injury-plagued San Francisco 49ers, 35-10, in a snow-covered Highmark Stadium. Allen completed 13 passes for 148 yards, threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, rushed for 18 yards on three carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught a receiving touchdown from a lateral from Amari Cooper, yet was credited with his second touchdown pass of the game, and wasn’t sacked at all.
It was a historic night for Allen, as he became the first NFL quarterback to throw for a touchdown, score a rushing touchdown, and catch a touchdown pass since the NFL merger. Allen made a strong case for why he should be an AP NFL MVP front-runner with his historic performance. He celebrated the win with head coach Sean McDermott in the snow, making snow angels after the game.
Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young: A-
Young played very well for the Panthers, even though they lost a 23-26 thriller in overtime. The rookie NFL quarterback completed 26 passes for 298 yards, threw a touchdown pass to Adam Thielen with no interceptions, rushed for 17 yards on three carries, and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked once.
Even though Young still has a long way to go, his improvements have been outstanding to watch. Young has to keep performing the way he has done in recent weeks if he wants to keep the starting role secure.
Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams: B-
Williams played fairly well against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, even though the Bears fell short, 20-23, via poor clock management in their failed comeback attempt. Williams completed 20 passes for 256 yards, threw three touchdowns with no interceptions, and rushed for 39 yards on four carries but was sacked five times.
Williams continued to show that he was the guy who would lead the Bears moving forward. That said, the offensive line in Chicago needs to be fixed, and Williams needs a new head coach to mentor him, as Matt Eberflus was fired a day after the game.
Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow: B-
Burrow played a good game, even though the Bengals lost 38-44 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Burrow completed 28 passes for 309 yards, threw three touchdowns against an interception, and rushed for nine yards on four carries, but was sacked four times and lost two fumbles. Burrow played great and did the best he could, but the Steelers were too much for the Bengals’ defense, who were the letdowns of the game.

Cleveland Browns: Jameis Winston: B-
Winston played well for the Browns on Monday Night Football but fell just short in the team’s 32-41 loss against the Denver Broncos. Winston completed 34 passes for 497 yards, threw four touchdowns to Jerry Jeudy, David Njoku, and Nick Chubb, respectively, against three costly interceptions, and rushed for 11 yards on three carries but was sacked three times. Winston played well, but two of his interceptions were returned for pick-sixes, which sealed the Brown’s fate in the Monday night thriller.
Dallas Cowboys: Cooper Rush: A-
Rush played a very good game for the Cowboys, as they defeated the New York Giants 27-20 on Thanksgiving. The backup NFL quarterback completed 21 passes for 195 yards, threw a touchdown to Brandin Cooks against no interceptions, rushed for no yards on five carries, and wasn’t sacked at all. Rush looked good, and he needs to continue building upon the team’s current win streak for the Cowboys moving forward if they want to finish the 2024 season on a positive note.
Denver Broncos: Bo Nix: C
Nix played well for the Broncos on Monday Night Football and helped his team secure the 41-32 win over the Cleveland Browns. The rookie NFL quarterback completed 18 passes for 294 yards, threw a touchdown to Marvin Mims Jr. against two interceptions, rushed for four yards on three carries, and wasn’t sacked at all. Despite the two interceptions, Nix led the Broncos’ offense to a very impressive victory at home against a fairly competitive Browns team. Nix and the Broncos head into their week 14 bye week on a positive note.
Detroit Lions: Jared Goff: A-
Goff played another great game for the Lions, defeating the Chicago Bears 23-20. Goff completed 21 passes for 221 yards, threw two touchdowns to Sam LaPorta against no interceptions, and rushed for a yard on a carry but was sacked once. Goff continued to play well and led the Lions to their first win on Thanksgiving Day since 2016.
Green Bay Packers: Jordan Love: A-
Love played a great game for the Packers, as they defeated the Miami Dolphins 30-17. Love completed 21 passes for 274 yards, threw two touchdowns to Jayden Reed with no interceptions, and wasn’t sacked at all. Love was comfortable and poised as he secured the win for the Packers against the Dolphins’ defense and got to enjoy some freshly cooked turkey with his teammates after the game.
Houston Texans: C.J. Stroud: B
Stroud had a moderately productive afternoon for the Texans, as they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 23-20 in a very tough and controversial game. Stroud completed 22 passes for 242 yards, threw a touchdown to Dalton Schultz, and rushed for seven yards on five carries but was sacked twice. Stroud played decently and did enough to get the Texans back in the win column after getting dropped by the Tennessee Titans in week 12.
Indianapolis Colts: Anthony Richardson: C
Richardson played fairly well for the Colts in their 25-24 win over the New England Patriots. He completed 12 passes for 109 yards, threw two touchdowns against two interceptions, rushed for 48 yards on nine carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and wasn’t sacked at all.
Richardson was more effective as a runner than he was a passer, as he was able to get into the end zone for a touchdown, while the Colts’ passing attack had a combined 109 yards in the air. However, Richardson was able to find Jonathan Taylor and Alec Pierce in the end zone to help the team overcome the Patriots.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Mac Jones: B+
Jones stepped up for the Jaguars and led the team in a failed comeback attempt in the team’s 20-23 close yet controversial loss against the Houston Texans. Jones completed 20 passes for 235 yards, threw two touchdowns in the fourth quarter with no interceptions, rushed for six yards on three carries, and wasn’t sacked at all. Jones performed well for the Jaguars after Trevor Lawrence left the game with a horrific concussion after taking a dirty hit from Azeez Al-Shaair in the second quarter. With Lawrence out long-term again, Jones needs to continue stepping up for the Jaguars.
Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes: A-
Mahomes played another good game for the Chiefs, as they narrowly defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 19-17. The superstar NFL quarterback completed 26 passes for 306 yards, threw a touchdown to Justin Watson with no interceptions and rushed for four yards on two carries but was sacked five times. Mahomes also matched Tom Brady with his 100th career win in his first eight seasons in the league. A nice accomplishment for the three-time Super Bowl champion, as the Chiefs also secured a nice Thanksgiving weekend win over their longtime AFC West rivals.
Las Vegas Raiders: Aidan O’Connell: B
O’Connell returned to action and played well for the Silver and Black, but the Raiders ended up losing 17-19 in a very close battle against their longtime AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. O’Connell completed 23 passes for 340 yards, threw two touchdowns against no interceptions, and rushed for zero yards on a carry, but was sacked three times and lost a costly fumble with 15 seconds left in the game.
O’Connell’s lost fumble was recovered by linebacker Nick Bolton of the Chiefs. This certainly will reside in his brain, rent-free for a while, even though he put up a good performance for the Silver and Black.
Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert: C-
Herbert had an average day on the field, which could’ve been better, as the Chargers narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons 17-13. Herbert completed 16 passes for 147 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions, and rushed for a yard on five carries but was sacked five times.
Herbert’s performance was not great, but it could’ve been worse, as Kirk Cousins threw four interceptions, which hurt the Falcons. Herbert needs to bounce back as the Chargers travel to the Show Me State for a week 14 divisional showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford: B+
Stafford played well for the Rams, as they came back from behind and defeated the New Orleans Saints 21-14. Stafford completed 14 passes for 183 yards, threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, and rushed for three yards on four carries but was sacked twice. Stafford rallied the Rams to a one-score victory over a Saints team still trying to find their identity on the field. Stafford and the Rams return home for a week 14 showdown against the Buffalo Bills coming to town.
Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa: B+
Tua Tagovailoa had a very good performance for the Dolphins on Thanksgiving night, but his efforts weren’t enough, as the team lost 17-30 against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Tagovailoa completed 37 passes for 365 yards, threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, and rushed for six yards on two carries but was sacked five times. Tagovailoa has played some incredible football ever since he returned from his injury, but his efforts on Thanksgiving weren’t enough to help the team out in the end.
Minnesota Vikings: Sam Darnold: B
Darnold had another great game for the Vikings, as they came back from behind and defeated the Arizona Cardinals 23-22. Darnold completed 21 passes for 235 yards, threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, and rushed for 22 yards on four carries but was sacked five times. Despite the Cardinals’ defense putting up a fight against Darnold, their efforts weren’t enough, as Darnold helped the Vikings secure the win. Darnold also has the potential to lead the Vikings on a playoff run if the team earns more wins before the regular season concludes.
New England Patriots: Drake Maye: B-
Maye played very well for the Patriots, even though they lost 24-25 in the final seconds against the Indianapolis Colts. Maye completed 24 passes for 238 yards, threw a touchdown to Austin Hooper against an interception, and rushed for 59 yards on five carries but was sacked four times. Maye continued to play well, as he’s the quarterback of the future for this NFL squad. However, he wasn’t able to win as Joey Slye missed a field goal attempt in the final seconds of the game.
New Orleans Saints: Derek Carr: B
Carr played an average game for the Saints, as they lost 14-21 at home against the Los Angeles Rams. Carr completed 24 passes for 184 yards, threw a touchdown pass to Marques Valdez-Scantling with no interceptions, rushed for 12 yards on two carries, and wasn’t sacked at all. Carr did well with short passes but has some work to do if he wants to get the Saints back on track.
New York Giants: Drew Lock: C-
Lock had a rough debut for the Giants, as they lost a painful 20-27 divisional battle against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Lock completed 21 passes for 178 yards, threw a costly interception with no touchdown passes, rushed for 57 yards on four carries, and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked six times and lost a fumble. Lock and the Giants had some problems on offense, which stung the G-Men in the end.
New York Jets: Aaron Rodgers: C+
Rodgers and the Jets had a 21-16 lead over the Seattle Seahawks at halftime, but it all slipped away as the Jets lost 21-26 at home. Rodgers completed 21 passes for 185 yards, threw two touchdowns against a very costly interception, and rushed for six yards on two carries but was sacked twice. Rodgers played well but wasn’t able to help the team score any more points in the second half of the game. Rumors have also surfaced on whether Rodgers will play for the Jets in 2025 or not. Regardless, Rodgers needs to try and finish the 2024 season on a positive note.
Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts: A-
Hurts played a great game against the Baltimore Ravens and helped lead the Eagles to a 24-19 victory on the road. Hurts completed 11 passes for 118 yards, threw a touchdown with no interceptions, rushed for 29 yards on nine carries, and scored a rushing touchdown, but was sacked twice and fumbled the ball before recovering it. Hurts looked sharp as he and the Eagles continued their domination of their opponents. This is the case, especially when the star NFL quarterback is on the goal line.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Russell Wilson: B
Wilson played a very effective game for the Steelers, as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 44-38. Wilson completed 29 passes for 414 yards, threw three touchdowns against an interception by Cam Taylor-Brit, who returned it for a 51-yard pick-six, and rushed for three yards on three carries but was sacked twice. Despite the pick-six in the first quarter, Wilson and the Steelers didn’t look back, as they cruised past the Bengals with ease.
San Francisco 49ers: Brock Purdy: D
Purdy had a rough Sunday night in the snow, as he and the injury-plagued 49ers lost 10-35 against the Buffalo Bills. Purdy completed 11 passes for 94 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions, and rushed for four yards on two carries but was sacked twice and lost a fumble. Purdy’s performance was rough, as the Bills’ defense swarmed all over him. Purdy said after the game, the team has to man up and do something about their losing record. The 49ers return home for a week 14 showdown against the Chicago Bears coming to town.
Seattle Seahawks: Geno Smith: C+
Smith had a decent afternoon at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets, as he and the Seahawks earned the 26-21 win over the team that originally drafted him back in 2013. Smith completed 20 passes for 206 yards, threw a touchdown to AJ Barner with no interceptions, and rushed for two yards on two carries but was sacked three times.
Smith didn’t use his legs much during the game, but managed to not throw an interception at all, and led the Seahawks to victory and secured full control of the NFC West… for now.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Baker Mayfield: D
Mayfield played a rough game for the Panthers, even though the team was able to win 26-23 in overtime. Mayfield completed 21 passes for 235 yards, threw a touchdown pass to Mike Evans against two interceptions (which resulted in two field goals for the Panthers), and rushed for eight yards on three carries but was sacked four times and fumbled the ball twice and recovered one of his fumbles.
Mayfield could’ve thrown the ball away instead of taking massive sacks, which almost cost the Bucs the game. Luckily for the star NFL quarterback and the Bucs, Chuba Hubbard lost a fumble in overtime, which was recovered by Yaya Diaby, who saved the game for the Bucs.
Tennessee Titans: Will Levis: B
Despite the Titans getting dropped 19-42 against the Washington Commanders, Will Levis played fairly well. Levis completed 18 passes for 212 yards, threw two touchdowns to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine with no interceptions, and rushed for negative three yards on two carries but was sacked twice and fumbled the ball, which he also recovered.
Levis was able to get the Titans on the board before the end of the first half, even though it was a losing battle throughout the game. Levis also improved on ball security, as he didn’t throw any interceptions in the game.
Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels: A-
Daniels had a very outstanding rebound performance for the Commanders as they dismantled the Tennessee Titans 42-19. Daniels completed 25 passes for 206 yards, threw three touchdowns against an interception, rushed for 34 yards on nine carries, and scored a rushing touchdown, but was sacked twice and fumbled the ball, which was recovered by guard Nick Allegretti. The rookie NFL quarterback had full control of the driver’s seat as he and the Commanders earned a well-needed statement victory.
