Week 14 saw some great performances from backup quarterbacks filling in for their starter counterparts as they recover from injuries and some great performances from guys like Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott. Week 14 also saw some guys struggle on the field who need to bounce back in the remaining weeks.
Here is where all 32 NFL Teams quarterbacks look after week 14 games:
Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray: Bye Week (Last week C-)
Kyler Murray needs to step up if he wants to help the Cardinals finish the 2023 season on a positive note despite the limited amount of playmakers available on the Red Birds.
Atlanta Falcons: Desmond Ridder: C- (Last week C)
Desmond Ridder continues to be a quarterback that can be a hit or miss for a franchise looking to secure a very wide-open NFC South. Ridder completed 26 passes for 347 yards, threw one touchdown against one interception, rushed for 15 yards on four carries, and scored a rushing touchdown, but was sacked three times. Ridder needs to play a little more aggressively and make more completions, if he wants to be the leader of the Falcons’ offense moving forward in the 2024 season and beyond.
Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson: B+ (Last week Bye Week)

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens played a very close and intense game against the Los Angeles Rams and won 37-31 in overtime. Jackson completed 24 passes for 316 yards, threw three touchdowns against one interception, and rushed for 70 yards on 11 carries but was sacked twice. Jackson played a solid game despite one interception, to help the Ravens secure the win in overtime against the Rams in a wet and competitive battle.
Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen: C (Last week Bye Week)
Josh Allen didn’t play the best game but he did keep the Bills afloat as they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in a 20-17 victory. Allen completed 23 passes for 233 yards, threw a touchdown against an interception, rushed for 32 yards on 10 carries, and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked three times. Allen kept the Bills in this contest despite the Chiefs’ comeback attempt and got the victory which is all that matters.
Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young: F (Last week D-)
Bryce Young had a rough Sunday as he and the Panthers fell to the New Orleans Saints 6-28. Young completed 13 passes for 137 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked four times and lost a fumble. Young needs to try and throw more completions which is easier said than done some of the time and secure the ball a little better with only four weeks left in the 2023 season.
Chicago Bears: Justin Fields: B- (Last week Bye Week)
Justin Fields had himself a very productive day as he and the Bears defeated the Detroit Lions 28-13. Fields completed 19 passes for 223 yards and threw a touchdown pass to DJ Moore, rushed for 58 yards on 12 carries and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked three times. Fields are starting to play slightly better as he and the Bears are scratching the surface for whatever wins they can salvage to finish the 2023 season, potentially on a high note.
Cincinnati Bengals: Jake Browning: C+ (Last week B)
Jake Browning played well with the Bengals for a second straight week and then hurt his thumb in the team’s 34-14 win as AJ McCarron took over for a snap. Browning completed 18 passes for 225 yards, threw two touchdowns against one interception, rushed for seven yards on three carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and wasn’t sacked at all. It was a good afternoon for Browning as he and the Bengals got the win at home but if his thumb injury is serious, AJ McCarron needs to step up for the Bengals if they want to remain in the playoff hunt.
Cleveland Browns: Joe Flacco: B- (Last week C-)
Joe Flacco may be past his prime, but he managed to play very well with the Browns as they secured a 31-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Flacco completed 26 passes for 311 yards, threw three touchdowns against one interception, and was sacked once. Flacco is playing as if he was on the Baltimore Ravens back in the mid-2010s when he was in his prime and should help the Browns compete for a playoff spot if the Browns keep him on the roster.
Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott: A- (Last week A-)
Dak Prescott had another great night as the Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 33-13. Prescott completed 24 passes for 271 yards, threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked three times and lost a fumble. Despite those small hiccups, Prescott played very well and shined under the lights of Sunday Night Football and took first place in the NFC East away from the Eagles.
Denver Broncos: Russell Wilson: B+ (Last week D+)
Russell Wilson turned his week 13 performance around with a stronger week 14 performance in the Broncos’ 24-7 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Wilson completed 21 passes for 224 yards, threw two touchdowns against one interception, and rushed for five yards on six carries but was sacked twice. It was a good turnaround for Wilson as he and the Broncos secured a win to keep their playoff hopes alive and to fight another day for a few more victories before the regular season concludes.
Detroit Lions: Jared Goff: D (Last week B+)
It was a rough afternoon for Jared Goff as the Lions fell to the Chicago Bears in a 13-28 divisional battle. Goff completed 20 passes for 161 yards, threw a touchdown against two interceptions, and rushed for zero yards on one carry but was sacked four times. It was a tough afternoon for Goff as Chicago’s defense reawakened and shut the Lions out in the second half of the game. Goff and company need to regroup and win out if they want to win the NFC North.
Green Bay Packers: Jordan Love: C- (Last week A-)
Jordan Love took a slight step back as he and the Packers lost to the New York Giants 22-24 in a heartbreaker. Love completed 25 passes for 218 yards, threw one touchdown against an interception, and rushed for two yards on two carries but was sacked twice and lost a fumble. Love will bounce back from this loss and help the Packers secure more wins with four weeks left but a playoff spot is very less likely for the Packers at this point.
Houston Texans: C.J. Stroud: F (Last week C+)
C.J. Stroud had a very rough Sunday afternoon as the Texans fell to the New York Jets 6-30 in upset fashion. Stroud completed 10 passes for 91 yards and threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked four times and lost a fumble before leaving the game with a concussion and Davis Mills took over for the remainder of the game. If Stroud is out long term, Mills has to be ready to take on the starting role as Stroud recovers for the last couple of games or start fresh in 2024. The Texans also need to improve in quarterback production after this loss whether it’s from Stroud or Mills.
Indianapolis Colts: Gardner Minshew: D (Last week B)
It was a tough afternoon for Gardner Minshew as the Colts fell 14-24 to the Cincinnati Bengals. Minshew completed 26 passes for 240 yards, threw one touchdown against one interception, and rushed for five yards on two carries but was sacked three times. Minshew could’ve played worse but ran into a ferocious Bengals team looking to secure a playoff spot of their own.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence: C- (Last week B-)
Trevor Lawrence didn’t play his best game on the road against the Cleveland Browns as he recovered from his ankle sprain in the team’s 27-31. Lawrence completed 28 passes for 250 yards, threw three touchdowns against three interceptions, and rushed for 11 yards on three carries but was sacked four times. Lawrence needs to let his ankle heal up if the Jaguars want to win the AFC South against competition from the likes of the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.
Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes: C- (Last week C+)
Patrick Mahomes had a very tough day against the Buffalo Bills in a 17-20 controversial loss at the very end of the game. Mahomes completed 25 passes for 271 yards, threw one touchdown against one interception, and rushed for eight yards on one carry but was sacked once. Mahomes did everything he could despite having no wide receiver help other than tight end Travis Kelce as he threw a pass to Kelce which then was thrown to Kadarius Toney in a trick play to score the game-winning touchdown only to be called back due to an offsides penalty resulting in a very frustrated Mahomes. Mahomes and the Chiefs will bounce back from this and certainly get into the playoffs.
Las Vegas Raiders: Aidan O’Connell: F (Last week Bye Week)
Aidan O’Connell had a rough Sunday afternoon as the Raiders fell to the Minnesota Vikings 0-3. O’Connell completed 21 passes for 171 yards, threw one interception against zero touchdowns, and rushed for two yards on one carry but was sacked four times. It was a very tough afternoon for O’Connell who needs to put this abysmal performance behind him and move on if the Raiders want to finish the 2023 season on a positive note.
Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert: D- (Last week D+)
It was a very rough day for Justin Herbert as he and the Chargers fell to the Denver Broncos 7-24. Herbert completed nine passes for 96 yards, threw an interception against no touchdowns but left the game with an index finger injury on his throwing hand and was replaced by Easton Stick who threw 13 passes for 179 yards. Herbert was also sacked four times on the afternoon and needs to recover fast if the Chargers want to finish the 2023 season on a positive note.
Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford: B- (Last week A)
Matthew Stafford played a great game against the Baltimore Ravens but the Rams ended up falling short in a 31-37 overtime loss in week 14. Stafford completed 23 passes for 294 yards and threw three touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked twice. Stafford played a great game but ultimately the Ravens won via Tylan Wallace’s punt return in overtime which can end up being anyone’s game. Stafford needs to continue playing well if the Rams want to conclude the regular season on a positive note.
Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa: D+ (Last week A)
It was a very tough night for Tua Tagovailoa as he and the Miami Dolphins lost at home to the Tennessee Titans 27-28. Tagovailoa completed 23 passes for 240 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions, and rushed for 15 yards on three carries but was sacked five times and lost a fumble. It was a rough performance by Tagovailoa but will bounce back from this.
Minnesota Vikings: Joshua Dobbs: F (Last week Bye Week)
It was a very rough afternoon for Joshua Dobbs as he played awful against the Las Vegas Raiders despite the Vikings getting a 3-0 win in the end. Dobbs completed 10 passes for 63 yards, threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked five times, and was benched for Nick Mullens who completed nine passes for 83 yards and threw no touchdowns or interceptions but wasn’t sacked at all. If Dobbs wants to start for the Vikings for the remainder of the season, he needs to drastically step up after this lackluster performance and score more points over their remaining opponents.
New England Patriots: Bailey Zappe: C (Last week F)
Bailey Zappe had a decent game as he helped the Patriots secure a well-earned victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Zappe completed 19 passes for 240 yards, threw three touchdowns against one interception, and rushed for 13 yards on three carries but was sacked twice. Zappe isn’t the long-term answer the Patriots need at quarterback, but he helped the team secure a win over a Steelers team looking to make it to the playoffs as a wildcard team.
New Orleans Saints: Derek Carr: B- (Last week C-)
Derek Carr returned to action after leaving week 13’s game early with some injuries and led the Saints to a 28-6 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Carr completed 18 passes for 119 yards and threw two touchdowns against one interception but was sacked once. Carr played well but needs to stay healthy and keep playing like he did against the Panthers against the Saint’s remaining opponents as the season winds down with four weeks left.
New York Giants: Tommy DeVito: A (Last week Bye Week)
Tommy DeVito aka “Tommy Cutlets” had a great night in East Rutherford, NJ as the Giants took down the Green Bay Packers 24-22. DeVito completed 17 passes for 158 yards, threw a touchdown against no interceptions, rushed for 71 yards on 10 carries, and wasn’t sacked at all. DeVito truly belongs in the league after his excellent performance against the Green Bay Packers despite the Giants’ offensive line struggles and should potentially be the starter if Daniel Jones isn’t healthy for week one of the 2024 season.
New York Jets: Zach Wilson: C+ (Last week F)
After two weeks of the Tim Boyle project which went nowhere, Zach Wilson made his return to the starting lineup and led the Jets to a 30-6 victory over the Houston Texans. Wilson completed 27 passes for 301 yards and threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked four times and lost a fumble. It was very refreshing to see Wilson lead the Jets to a win. Wilson needs to continue playing like this if the Jets want to finish the season on a positive note and then return to the backup role as Aaron Rodgers returns in 2024.
Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts: C- (Last week C+)
Jalen Hurts didn’t play his best game despite not throwing any touchdowns or interceptions in the 13-33 loss to the Dallas Cowboys but he did whatever he could against a hostile Cowboys defense. Hurts completed 18 passes for 197 yards and threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked once and fumbled the ball. Hurts needs to rebound from this two-game losing skid and help the Eagles reclaim first place in the NFC East before the season concludes.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Mitch Trubisky: C- (Last week C-)
Mitch Trubisky played decently for the Steelers as Kenny Pickett recovers from a high ankle sprain. Trubisky completed 22 passes for 190 yards, threw one touchdown against one interception, rushed for 30 yards on eight carries, and scored a touchdown but was sacked twice. Trubisky is doing his job, as a backup, by leading the Steelers’ offense, but he ultimately fell to an under .500 Patriots team which hurts Pittsburgh’s chances of making the playoffs.
San Francisco 49ers: Brock Purdy: B+ (Last week A-)
Brock Purdy played a solid game against the Seattle Seahawks in their 28-16 week 14 matchup. Purdy completed 19 passes for 368 yards, threw two touchdowns against one interception, and rushed for seven yards on two carries but was sacked three times. Purdy is playing very well but needs to avoid throwing a couple of picks and avoid getting sacked every so often which can be easier said than done.
Seattle Seahawks: Drew Lock: (Last week B-)
Drew Lock was handed the keys to the offense as Geno Smith recovered from a groin injury in the Seahawks 16-28 loss. Lock completed 22 passes for 269 yards, threw two touchdowns against two interceptions and rushed for five yards on three carries but was sacked four times. It wasn’t an easy day for Lock but he did whatever he could against a tough and physical 49ers despite the loss. If Smith is out for a little longer, Lock must improve and get the Seahawks a few more wins to finish the season on a positive note.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Baker Mayfield: B- (Last week C+)
Baker Mayfield isn’t an elite quarterback by any stretch but he did lead the Buccaneers to a 29-25 divisional victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Mayfield completed 14 passes for 144 yards, threw two touchdowns against one interception, rushed for three yards on three carries, and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked once. Mayfield is a great offensive leader for the veteran experience he brings to the Bucs’ offense as they try to sail to win the NFC South for a fourth straight season.
Tennessee Titans: Will Levis: C+ (Last week C-)
Will Levis had a decently good night in South Beach as he and the Titans defeated the Miami Dolphins 28-27. Levis completed 23 passes for 327 yards, threw a touchdown to DeAndre Hopkins against an interception, and rushed for 15 yards on four carries but was sacked once and lost a fumble. Levis needs to continue playing like this and improving for the Titans if they want to finish the season on a positive note for the 2024 season.
Washington Commanders: Sam Howell: Bye Week (Last week D)
Sam Howell isn’t a great quarterback performance wise but if he joins another team in the future, he can be a great serviceable backup.
