Week 15 was a very interesting week for some of the league’s best runners, as some running backs had decent days on the ground but didn’t do enough even though their teams won, and some running backs struggled as their teams lost badly.
Other running backs continued to be dominant workhorses and produced a great game on the ground for their respective teams- regardless of the outcome. With three more weeks left in the regular season, we can’t wait to see our favorite running backs finish the season on a positive note and get prepared for the playoffs.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL teams’ running backs after week 15.
Who are the top running backs in the NFL after week 15?
Arizona Cardinals: James Conner: A-
Conner had a tremendous afternoon on the ground in the Cardinals’ 30-17 win over the woeful New England Patriots. Conner rushed 110 yards on 16 carries, scored two rushing touchdowns, and caught five receptions for 28 yards, with another great performance from Conner. The Cardinals will rely on him for a chance at securing a playoff spot with three more weeks in the regular season.
Atlanta Falcons: Bijan Robinson: A-
Robinson had a very nice night for the Falcons, helping the team win 15-9 against the woeful Las Vegas Raiders. Robinson rushed for 125 yards on 22 carries and caught a reception for 10 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Robinson may not have scored a touchdown, but he carried the Falcons’ offense on his back with his 100-plus-yard performance on the ground.

Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Henry: C
Henry had a decent afternoon on the ground in the Ravens’ 35-14 victory over the New York Giants. Henry rushed for 67 yards on 14 carries but didn’t score a touchdown. It would’ve been nice to see Henry score a touchdown, but the Ravens successfully attacked the Giants with their passing attack. The star running back should be able to bounce back and get those elusive touchdowns for the Ravens in their remaining games of the regular season.
Buffalo Bills: James Cook: A-
Cook had a tremendous rebound game for the Bills in their 48-42 win against the Detroit Lions. Cook rushed for 105 yards on 14 carries, scored two touchdowns, and caught a reception for 28 yards. The running back torched the Lions’ defense with ease in the impressive high-scoring victory.
Carolina Panthers: Chuba Hubbard: D-
Hubbard had a rough afternoon for the Panthers in their 14-30 loss against the Dallas Cowboys. Hubbard rushed for 32 yards on 10 carries and caught four receptions for 17 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. The Cowboys’ defense was too much for Hubbard for most of the game. Hubbard should be able to bounce back in the team’s week 16 match-up against the Arizona Cardinals.
Chicago Bears: D’Andre Swift: B-
Swift had a good rebound game for the Bears, even though they lost 12-30. Swift rushed for 79 yards on 19 carries and caught a reception for 10 yards. Although it was nice to see Swift rebound, after a horrific performance in week 14, he wasn’t able to score a touchdown all night long.
Cincinnati Bengals: Chase Brown: A
Brown had a very productive afternoon for the Bengals in their 37-27 win over the Tennessee Titans. Brown rushed for 97 yards on 25 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, caught three receptions for 16 yards, and scored a touchdown. Brown continued to shine and flourish in offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher’s system as the Bengals look to make a potential push for the playoffs.

Cleveland Browns: Jerome Ford: B+
Ford had a very good afternoon for the Browns, even though they lost 7-21 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Ford rushed for 84 yards on seven carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught two receptions for 20 yards. Ford’s production in the final three weeks of the regular season will increase, as his teammate, Nick Chubb, suffered a broken foot in the loss and will miss the rest of the 2024 season.
Dallas Cowboys: Rico Dowdle: A-
Dowdle had an impressive afternoon on the ground in the Cowboys’ 30-14 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Dowdle rushed for 149 yards on 25 carries but didn’t score any touchdowns. Dowdle flourished on the ground and looks to be the Cowboys’ main running back moving forward, especially with the Cowboys competing for a potential spot in the upcoming playoffs.
Denver Broncos: Jaleel McLaughlin: F
McLaughlin and the Broncos’ rushing attack had a rough game, even though they won 31-13. McLaughlin rushed for 21 yards on seven carries and caught three receptions for 13 yards. McLaughlin left the game with a quad injury, and it is questionable for the team’s next game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Detroit Lions: Jahmyr Gibbs: B
Gibbs had an okay day for the Lions, even though they lost 42-48 against the Buffalo Bills. Gibbs rushed for 31 yards on eight carries, scored a rushing touchdown, caught five receptions for 83 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown. Gibbs was much more effective in the passing attack, but his workload in the rushing attack is going to increase due to his teammate, David Montgomery, suffering a knee injury that requires surgery to end his 2024 season.
Green Bay Packers: Josh Jacobs: A-
Jacobs had a very nice night for the Packers in their 30-13 statement win over the Seattle Seahawks. Jacobs rushed for 94 yards on 26 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught four receptions for 42 yards. The Packers running back continued to be a bright spot in the Packers’ offense as the team gets prepared to potentially snag a playoff spot and emerge as a dangerous wildcard team.
Houston Texans: Joe Mixon: D
Mixon had a rough day in the Texans’ rushing attack, even though the team won 20-12 against the Miami Dolphins. Mixon rushed for 23 yards on 12 carries and caught five receptions for 33 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Mixon did lead the Texans in receiving yards and helped the team out when they added points on the board.
Indianapolis Colts: Jonathan Taylor: A-
Taylor had a very good day on the ground for the Colts, even though they lost 13-31 against the Denver Broncos. Taylor rushed for 107 yards on 22 carries and caught a reception for negative one yard, but didn’t score a touchdown and lost a fumble. Taylor almost scored a touchdown in the third quarter, but he dropped the ball just before crossing the goal line. However, Taylor should bounce back for the Colts in the last three weeks in the NFL for a very productive season, statistically.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Etienne Jr.: C
Etienne Jr. had a decent day for the Jaguars, even though they lost 25-32 against the New York Jets. Etienne Jr. rushed for 65 yards on 14 carries and caught four receptions for 20 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Etienne Jr. was effective in the run game, but it would’ve been nice to see him score a touchdown.
Kansas City Chiefs: Kareem Hunt: C
Hunt had a decent afternoon for the Chiefs in their 21-7 win over the Cleveland Browns. Hunt rushed for 45 yards on 13 carries and caught a reception for four yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Although Isiah Pacheco is the main running back for the Chiefs, Hunt had more rushing yards and was effective in the Chiefs’ ground attack.
Las Vegas Raiders: Ameer Abdullah: C-
Abdullah and the Raiders’ rushing attack had a rough night in their 9-15 loss against the Atlanta Falcons, but he had a better night in the passing attack. Abdullah rushed for eight yards on three carries, caught seven receptions for 58 yards, and scored the team’s only touchdown on the night. Abdullah was far more effective in the passing attack, as the Raiders’ rushing attack was held to a combined 65 yards on the ground.
Los Angeles Chargers: Gus Edwards: F
Edwards had a rough night in the Chargers’ 17-40 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Edwards rushed for 23 yards on eight carries but didn’t score a touchdown. Edwards didn’t do much in the game, as the Chargers focused more on the passing attack in the second half, which went nowhere, thanks to the Bucs’ defense holding their own in the half.
Los Angeles Rams: Kyren Williams: A-
Williams had a very good night on the ground for the Rams in their 12-6 touchdown-less win against the San Francisco 49ers. Williams rushed for 108 yards on 29 carries and caught two receptions for four yards but didn’t score a touchdown. The Rams running back continued to be very effective in the Rams’ rushing attack and helped the team regain first place after the Seattle Seahawks lost on Sunday Night Football.
Miami Dolphins: De’Von Achane: C-
Achane had an okay afternoon for the Dolphins in their 12-20 loss against the Houston Texans. Achane rushed for 41 yards on 12 carries and caught seven receptions for 35 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Despite Achane’s performance, the Dolphins’ rushing attack struggled all afternoon, as they combined for 52 yards on the ground.
Minnesota Vikings: Aaron Jones: B+
Jones had a very nice night for the Vikings in their 30-12 win over the Chicago Bears. Jones rushed for 86 yards on 18 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught two receptions for 20 yards. Jones continued to shine in the Vikings’ offense and punched on through against a talented Bears’ defense throughout the night.
New England Patriots: Rhamondre Stevenson: C
Stevenson had a decent day on the ground in the Patriots’ 17-30 loss against the Arizona Cardinals. Stevenson rushed for 69 yards on 13 carries and caught a reception for 16 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Stevenson is the Patriots’ best running back thus far and was a bright spot for the team in an ugly game.
New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara: C
Kamara had a rough afternoon on the ground but was far more effective in the Saints’ passing attack, even though the team lost 19-20 due to a failed two-point conversion attempt. Kamara rushed for 12 yards on five carries, caught four receptions for 58 yards, and scored a touchdown in the third quarter. Kamara showed his effectiveness as a pass catcher via a trick play, where wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. threw him the touchdown pass. However, it would’ve been nice to see Kamara have a solid rushing day on the ground.
New York Giants: Tyrone Tracy Jr.: D-
Tracy Jr. had a bit of a rough afternoon for the Giants in their 14-35 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. Tracy Jr. rushed for 31 yards on 10 carries and caught a reception for four yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Tracy Jr. couldn’t get much going against the Ravens’ defense, while his teammate, Devin Singletary, rushed for 25 yards and scored a touchdown in the second quarter.
New York Jets: Breece Hall: C
Hall had an okay afternoon for the Jets in their 32-25 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hall rushed for 30 yards on nine carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught two receptions for 21 yards. Hall was effective with short runs and needs to step it up in the Jets’ week 16 match-up against the Los Angeles Rams.
Philadelphia Eagles: Saquon Barkley: C
Barkley played well for the Eagles, helping the team defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-13. Barkley rushed for 65 yards on 19 carries and caught two receptions for nine yards but didn’t score a touchdown. It wasn’t the best performance by the star running back, but it wasn’t his worst performance either, as he was effective against the Steelers’ defense.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris: F
Harris had a bad afternoon for the Steelers in their 13-27 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. Harris rushed for 14 yards on six carries and caught a reception for seven yards but didn’t score a touchdown. It was Harris’ least productive game of the season. The Eagles’ defense held the Steelers’ rushing attack to 56 combined yards on the ground.
San Francisco 49ers: Isaac Guerendo: C-
Guerendo had a very inefficient night for the 49ers in the team’s 6-12 touchdown-less loss against the Los Angeles Rams. Guerendo rushed for 57 yards on 16 carries and caught four receptions for 18 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Guerendo should be able to rebound for the 49ers in the final three weeks of the season and hopefully score a touchdown rather than end the game with both teams scoring on only field goals.
Seattle Seahawks: Zach Charbonnet: C+
Charbonnet had a good night for the Seahawks, even though the team lost a tough and painful 13-30 battle against the Green Bay Packers. Charbonnet rushed for 54 yards on eight carries, scored the team’s only touchdown, and caught a reception for 12 yards. Despite Charbonnet pounding his way to the end zone in the fourth quarter, it should raise concerns that the Seahawks were immobilized throughout the first half of the game and held to two field goals in the second and third quarters, respectively.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bucky Irving: A-
Irving had a tremendous afternoon for the Bucs, helping the team win 40-17. Irving rushed for 117 yards and caught two receptions for negative four yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Despite dealing with back and hip injuries, the Bucs running back didn’t slow down and powered on through against the Chargers’ defense.
Tennessee Titans: Tony Pollard: C+
Pollard had a decent day on the ground for the Titans, even though the team lost 27-37 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Pollard rushed for 45 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown but lost a fumble. Pollard continued to be effective in the Titans’ offense, even though he wasn’t able to top 50 yards.
Washington Commanders: Brian Robinson Jr.: C-
Robinson Jr. had a decent day on the ground in the Commanders’ 20-19 win over the New Orleans Saints. Robinson Jr. rushed for 65 yards on 21 carries and caught three receptions for 22 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Robinson Jr. saw a lot of production on the ground with Austin Ekeler out due to a concussion. Robinson Jr. should be able to produce for the Commanders in the team’s final three weeks of the regular season before the playoffs begin.
