Week 14 was a great week for the league’s best running backs as they continued to make their mark on the ground in very competitive games.
Some running backs had slower games than normal but should find a way to bounce back in week 15. Either way, we can’t wait to see what else can happen in the remaining four weeks of the 2024 regular season before the playoffs begin.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL teams’ running backs after week 14.
Who are the top running backs in the NFL after week 14?
Arizona Cardinals: James Conner: A-
Conner had a very productive afternoon for the Cardinals, even though they lost a tough 18-30 divisional battle against the Seattle Seahawks. Conner rushed for 90 yards on 18 carries, caught four receptions for 32 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown. The Redbirds were able to create more lanes for Conner to go through in this matchup against the Seahawks than they did in their week 12 matchup, and Conner was effective in the Cardinals’ passing attack.
Atlanta Falcons: Bijan Robinson: A-
Robinson had a very nice afternoon for the Falcons, even though they lost a tough 21-42 battle against the Minnesota Vikings on the road. Robinson rushed for 92 yards on 22 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught two receptions for nine yards. Robinson had a nice day on the ground despite not reaching 100 yards. Robinson and the Falcons travel to Sin City for a week 15 Monday night showdown against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Henry: Bye Week
Henry has been a wild breath of fresh air for the Ravens so far this season. At the age of 30, the star running back continued to be a force to be reckoned with on the ground. Henry and the Ravens return to action in week 15 when the team takes on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
Buffalo Bills: James Cook: F
The Bills’ offense had themselves a wild Sunday in their 42-44 loss against the Los Angeles Rams, but Cook was nonexistent all game. Cook rushed for 20 yards on six carries and caught two receptions for nine yards but didn’t score any touchdowns. It was Cook’s worst game as a pro. He’ll need to find a way to rebound in the team’s week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions in the Motor City.
Carolina Panthers: Chuba Hubbard: A-
Hubbard had a very nice bounce-back game for the Panthers, even though the team lost a close 16-22 battle against the Philadelphia Eagles. Hubbard rushed for 92 yards on 26 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, and caught four receptions for 15 yards. Hubbard was able to carry the Panthers’ rushing attack, even after Jonathon Brooks left the game with an ACL tear. It certainly would’ve been great for the Panther’s fans to see them earn the win over a playoff contender in the Eagles.
Chicago Bears: D’Andre Swift: D-
Swift had a very quiet game for the Bears in their 13-38 loss against the San Francisco 49ers. Swift rushed for 38 yards on 14 carries and caught a reception for two yards but didn’t score any touchdowns. Swift couldn’t get anything going against the 49ers’ defense, while the rest of the Bears’ offense also struggled in the first half of the game.
Cincinnati Bengals: Chase Brown: C
Brown had a decent night on the ground but had more impact as a pass catcher in the Bengals 27-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Brown rushed for 58 yards on 14 carries, caught six receptions for 65 yards, and scored a touchdown. Brown looked sharp as a pass catcher, as he’s been an impressive addition to the Bengals’ offense since the team drafted him back in 2023.

Cleveland Browns: Nick Chubb: C-
Chubb had a somewhat quiet afternoon for the Browns in their 14-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chubb rushed for 48 yards on 11 carries but didn’t score a touchdown. It would’ve been nice to see Chubb score a touchdown, but the Steelers’ defense proved to be a lot tougher in this divisional rematch.
Dallas Cowboys: Rico Dowdle: A-
Dowdle had a very productive night for the Cowboys, even though the team lost a tough and thrilling 20-27 battle against the Cincinnati Bengals. Dowdle rushed for 131 yards on 18 carries and caught a reception for 10 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. It would’ve been nice to see this running back score a touchdown, but he made up for it with his impressive yardage on the ground.
Denver Broncos: Jaleel McLaughlin: Bye Week
McLaughlin has been a reliable running back for the Broncos so far and needs to continue stepping up, as the team has a chance to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
Detroit Lions: David Montgomery: C+
Montgomery helped the Lions win 34-31 in a very tight and competitive battle against the Green Bay Packers. Montgomery rushed for 51 yards on 14 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught five receptions for 33 yards. Montgomery was very effective in the red zone and goal line, as his bruising running back pounded his way to the end zone in the game’s first drive. Montgomery and the Lions remain home in week 15 and will host the Buffalo Bills coming to town.
Green Bay Packers: Josh Jacobs: B
Jacobs played very well against the Detroit Lions, even though he and the Packers lost 31-34 in the game’s final seconds. Jacobs rushed for 66 yards on 18 carries and scored three rushing touchdowns. Jacobs was a difference maker on the ground, as he powered on through the injury-plagued Lions’ defense with ease, which made the game very competitive for both teams. Jacobs and the Packers have a tough week, with 15 road matchups ahead of them against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football.
Houston Texans: Joe Mixon: Bye Week
Mixon joining the Texans has been incredible to watch. Mixon has carried the Texans’ offense on his back and has formed a good on-field relationship with C.J. Stroud. Star running back Mixon and the Texans return to action in week 15 when the Miami Dolphins come to town.
Indianapolis Colts: Jonathan Taylor: Bye Week
Taylor continues to be the heart and soul of the Colts’ offense as he looks to have another dominating season so far. Taylor and the Colts will have a tough week 15 road game against the Denver Broncos, but Taylor should handle the Broncos’ defense fairly well.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Tank Bigsby: C+
Bigsby had a decent afternoon for the Jaguars, as he helped his team defeat the Tennessee Titans in the fourth quarter 10-6. Bigsby rushed for 55 yards on 18 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught a reception for seven yards. Bigsby performed well for the Jaguars, as he was able to punch himself into the end zone with 6:46 seconds left in the game. Bigsby and the Jaguars return home for a week 15 matchup against the New York Jets coming to town.
Kansas City Chiefs: Isiah Pacheco: C-
Pacheco is slowly starting to return to form, as he and the Chiefs narrowly won 19-17 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Pacheco rushed for 55 yards on 14 carries and caught two receptions for six yards but didn’t score any touchdowns. Even though Pacheco didn’t score a touchdown, he’ll need to continue getting readjusted to the offensive lineup. Pacheco should stay on course, returning to form, when the Chiefs take on the Cleveland Browns on the road in week 15.
Las Vegas Raiders: Sincere McCormick: B-
McCormick continued to play well for the Silver and Black, even though the team lost 13-28 against the Las Vegas Raiders. McCormick rushed for 78 yards on 15 carries and caught two receptions for 11 yards. If McCormick continues to perform well and revitalize the Raiders’ rushing attack, he needs to become a starting running back, depending on what the Raiders do in the 2025 offseason.
Los Angeles Chargers: Gus Edwards: D+
Edwards had an okay night, which could’ve been better in the Chargers 17-19 nail-biting loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Edwards rushed for 36 yards on 10 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Although the Chargers’ rushing attack was held to a whopping 68 yards on the ground, Edwards made it work with short runs to help the Bolts get on the board.
Los Angeles Rams: Kyren Williams: A-
Williams had a very nice afternoon for the Rams in their 44-42 win against the Buffalo Bills in a wild offensive shootout. Williams rushed for 87 yards on 29 carries, scored two touchdowns, and caught two receptions for 10 yards. Williams also earned himself his second straight 1,000 rushing yard season with 1,013 yards so far this season. Williams will certainly continue to gain more yardage on the ground from here.
Miami Dolphins: De’Von Achane: D+
Achane had a bit of a rough afternoon in the Dolphins 32-24 overtime win against the New York Jets. Miami’s running back rushed for 24 yards on 14 carries and scored a touchdown in the first quarter. Achane and the Dolphins’ rushing attack mustered 44 yards on the ground, but short runs were more effective against the Jets’ defense near the goal line.
Minnesota Vikings: Aaron Jones: B
Jones had a very good afternoon for the Vikings, as they defeated the Atlanta Falcons 42-21. Jones rushed for 73 yards on 13 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught two receptions for 11 yards. Jones may not have topped 80 yards, but he shined as the Vikings’ main running back all game long.
New England Patriots: Rhamondre Stevenson: Bye Week
Stevenson is arguably the best running back on the Patriots so far this season. Even though the Patriots haven’t had much to celebrate, Stevenson has been a bright spot for the team’s rushing attack. Stevenson and the Patriots return to action in week 15 when they square off against the Arizona Cardinals in the desert.
New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara: C-
Kamara had an average afternoon for the Saints, as they narrowly won 14-11 against the woeful New York Giants. Kamara rushed for 44 yards on 17 carries and caught five receptions for 35 yards. It would’ve been nice to see Kamara score a touchdown, but luckily, Kendre Miller and Juwan Jennings both scored the Saints’ touchdowns, respectively.
New York Giants: Tyrone Tracy Jr.: C
Tracy Jr. had a decent afternoon for the Giants, as they heartbreakingly fell 11-14 against the New Orleans Saints. Tracy Jr. rushed for 45 yards on 16 carries, scored a touchdown in the team’s fourth-quarter comeback attempt, and caught five receptions for 38 yards. Tracy Jr. continued to be one of a couple of guys on the Giants’ offense, providing the team with a spark of hope for a better 2025 season. Running back Tracy Jr. and the G-Men just have four more weeks of the 2024 regular season to get through before the start of the 2025 offseason.
New York Jets: Isaiah Davis: C
With no Breece Hall due to a knee injury, Isaiah Davis had to step up for the Jets, even though they lost a tough 26-32 battle against the Miami Dolphins in overtime. Davis rushed for 40 yards on 10 carries, scored a touchdown, and caught three receptions for 27 yards. If Hall continues to be sidelined due to his knee injury, Davis needs to continue stepping in for Gang Green in a lost season.
Philadelphia Eagles: Saquon Barkley: A-
Barkley had a very nice afternoon for the Eagles in their 22-16, very close win over the Carolina Panthers. Barkley rushed for 124 yards on 20 carries but didn’t score a touchdown. Barkley may not have scored any points, but he did earn the Eagles’ franchise rushing record with a total of 1,623 yards this season, surpassing LeSean McCoy’s record of 1,607 yards from his 2013 season. Barkley on the Eagles has so far been a wild roller coaster ride.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris: C+
Harris had a decent afternoon for the Steelers in their 27-14 victory over their AFC North rivals, the Cleveland Browns. Harris rushed for 53 yards on 16 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Harris continued to be a focal point for the Steelers offense, even though he wasn’t able to top 60-plus yards on the ground.
San Francisco 49ers: Isaac Guerendo: B+
Guerendo had a very nice afternoon for the 49ers in their 38-13 dominating rebound win over the Chicago Bears. Guenendo rushed for 78 yards on 15 carries, scored two rushing touchdowns, and caught two receptions for 50 yards. Guerendo performed well but suffered a foot sprain. If Guerendo is out long-term, fellow running backs Israel Abanikanda and Patrick Taylor, as well as fullback Kyle Juszczyk, will need to step up.
Seattle Seahawks: Zach Charbonnet: A+
Charbonnet had an incredibly solid game for the Seahawks in their 30-18 dominating win over their NFC West rivals, the Arizona Cardinals. Charbonnet rushed for 134 yards on 22 carries, scored two touchdowns, and caught seven receptions for 59 yards. Charbonnet stepped up when it mattered most for the Seahawks, as fellow running back Kenneth Walker III was out due to ankle and calf injuries.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Rachaad White: A-
When Irving went out with a back injury, Rachaad White stepped up for the Bucs in their 28-13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. White rushed for 90 yards on 17 carries, scored a rushing touchdown, caught two receptions for 19 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown. White was very productive on the ground, but his production in the passing attack took a bit of a dip since Mike Evans returned to the lineup.
Tennessee Titans: Tony Pollard: A-
Pollard had a nice afternoon on the ground for the Titans, even though the team lost 6-10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Titans running back rushed for 102 yards on 21 carries and caught two receptions for 22 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. Pollard almost scored a touchdown, but a holding penalty called on guard Dillon Radunz nullified the touchdown, keeping the Titans wanting that elusive yet unattainable touchdown all game long.
Washington Commanders: Brian Robinson Jr.: Bye Week
Whenever Robinson Jr. plays for the Commanders, the team has a better chance of winning football games. Robinson Jr. had a very nice game for the Commanders in week 13, with 103 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. Robinson Jr. should continue performing well with four more weeks to go in the regular season.
