Some offenses had very high expectations in week nine and met them while others fell flat and couldn’t score any touchdowns all game long thanks to elite defenses getting in their way. Either way, many fans were satisfied with their team’s offensive production or flat out want to question why they’re fans of their offenses in the first place.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL Team offenses after week 9 games:
Arizona Cardinals: F (Last week D+)
The Cardinals traded away Joshua Dobbs to the Minnesota Vikings and rolled with Clayton Tune who threw no touchdowns and threw two interceptions. The Cardinals rushing attack was held to 41 yards all game while Marquise “Hollywood” caught four receptions for 24 yards. It was a disaster on offense for the Red Birds. They need Kyler Murray to return ASAP to stay relevant and not fall flat.
Atlanta Falcons: C+ (Last week D+)
Even though the Falcons improved slightly on offense after week eight, they came up short as they fell to the Minnesota Vikings in a nail-biting 28-31 loss. Taylor Heinicke threw one touchdown against one interception. Bijan Robinson rushed for 51 yards on 11 carries while Tyler Allgeier rushed for 39 yards on 12 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Jonnu Smith caught five receptions for 100 yards and scored a receiving touchdown. Atlanta has great offensive playmakers but Taylor Heinickie needs to step it up and if Desmond Ridder comes back, he also needs to step it up.
Baltimore Ravens: A (Last week B)

The Raven’s offense looked strong and unstoppable against the Seahawks all game. Lamar Jackson may not have thrown a touchdown pass, but Gus Edwards rushed for 52 yards on five carries and scored two touchdowns, Keaton Michell rushed for 138 yards on nine carries and scored a touchdown, and Odell Beckham Jr. Caught his first touchdown pass of the season from Tyler Huntley. The Raven’s offense is for real and can potentially torch more opposing defenses as the second half of the season continues.
Buffalo Bills: C+ (Last week B+)
The Bills offense did what they could in a failed comeback attempt against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football. Josh Allen threw one touchdown against one interception and scored a rushing touchdown while Stefon Diggs caught six receptions for 86 yards and scored a touchdown, and Dalton Kincaid caught six receptions for 81 yards on the night. The Bills rushing attack was held to 68 yards and Josh Allen led the team with 44 rushing yards on the night. It was a somewhat tough night for Buffalo as the herd needs to regroup and get back to business for their next opponents if they want to win the AFC East.
Carolina Panthers: D- (Last week C-)
It was a massive step back for Bryce Young and company as the Panthers fell to the Indianapolis Colts 27-13. Young threw one touchdown against three interceptions while Chubba Hubbard rushed for 58 yards on 16 carries, DJ Chark Jr. caught two receptions for nine yards and scored a touchdown and Hayden Hurst led the Panthers with two receptions for 54 yards. It was another miserable performance by the Panthers’ offense that needs more pass protection for Young so he can make better decisions with the football.
Chicago Bears: D+ (Last week’s D)
Chicago’s offense played slightly better in the Big Easy, but couldn’t finish the game and lost a tough one 24-17. Tyson Bagent threw two touchdowns against three interceptions while D’Onta Foreman rushed for 83 yards on 20 carries. Cole Kmet had a great game on the receiving side with six receptions for 55 yards and two touchdowns on the day. Darnell Mooney caught five receptions for 82 yards on the day as well. It was a tough day for the Bears, but they managed to play better than they did in Los Angeles. They just need to have a healthy Justin Fields, a better offensive line, and to finish more games.
Cincinnati Bengals: B- (Last week B+)
The Bengals offense got a serious primetime win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football. Joe Burrow threw two touchdowns and no interceptions while Joe Mixon rushed for 37 yards on 14 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Tee Higgins caught eight receptions for 110 yards and both Drew Sample and Irv Smith Jr. caught touchdown passes from Burrow. It was a good night for the Bengals although it would’ve been nice to see Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase make it into the endzone. They’ll get more touchdowns as the season progresses!
Cleveland Browns: B (Last week D+)
With Deshaun Watson back in the lineup, the Browns offense went to work against a woeful Arizona Cardinals team. Watson threw two touchdowns against no interceptions while Kareem Hunt rushed for 38 yards on 14 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Amari Cooper caught five receptions for 139 yards and scored a touchdown and David Njoku caught four receptions for 26 yards and scored a touchdown. The Brown’s offense looked good despite playing the weaker Cardinals. The Browns will need to play like against more serious opponents in the coming weeks.
Dallas Cowboys: B- (Last week A)
The Cowboys’ offense played a great game but came up short in the comeback from behind an attempt in Philadelphia. Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes against zero interceptions but was sacked five times. The Cowboy’s ground attack was held to 73 rushing yards while Jake Ferguson, Jalen Tobert, and KaVonte Turpin all scored receiving touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb caught 11 receptions for 191 yards and almost got into the endzone to score the winning touchdown for Dallas but came up short thanks to the Eagles’ defense. The Cowboys will certainly be back and stronger than this week nine loss.
Denver Broncos: Bye Week (Last week C+)
If the Broncos offense led by Russell Wilson continue to squeak out more wins, they can potentially be proud of themselves and not look like bottom feeders in a very competitive AFC West.
Detroit Lions: Bye Week (Last week B)
If the Detroit Lions continue to play at an elite level, the NFC North will be theirs for the taking and possibly win a playoff game or two.
Green Bay Packers: C- (Last week D)
The Packer’s offense finally snapped a four-game skid with a 20-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Jordan Love threw one touchdown against zero interceptions but was sacked four times in the victory. Aaron Jones rushed for 73 yards on 20 carries and scored a rushing touchdown and Luke Musgrave caught three receptions for 51 yards and scored a receiving touchdown. Could this victory be the spark the Packers offense needs to turn their season around before it’s too late? Who knows? This was a solid victory for the Pack, nonetheless.
Houston Texans: A- (Last week C-)
It was an incredibly productive day for the Texans as C.J. Stroud led quite the comeback from behind to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Stroud threw five touchdowns while Tank Dell caught six receptions for 114 yards and scored two touchdowns. One of those touchdowns is the game-ending touchdown. Noah Brown, Dalton Schultz, and Nico Collins also scored touchdown passes from Storud in the victory. If the Texans continue to play like this, they’ll more than just make the playoffs- they could possibly win a game in the Wildcard round.
Indianapolis Colts: B (Last week C+)
Garder Minshew and company played a decent game against the Panthers and came away with a 27-13 win in Charlotte. Minshew threw one touchdown against one interception while Jonathan Taylor rushed for 47 yards on 18 carries as well as caught five receptions for 22 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown. Michael Pittman Jr. caught eight receptions for 64 yards on the afternoon. It was a solid win for the Colts looking to stay afloat in the competitive AFC South.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Bye Week (Last week B-)
The Jaguars offense led by Trevor Lawrence is doing good so far and looks to keep it that way for the weeks to come.
Kansas City Chiefs: B+ (Last week D)
The Chiefs offense re-emerged after their week eight stumble against the Denver Broncos. Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions while Isiah Pacheco had a good game on the ground with 66 rushing yards on 16 carries. Jerick McKinnon and Rashee Rice both scored the only offensive touchdowns for Kansas City on the day in Frankfurt as they secured the win over the Miami Dolphins.
Las Vegas Raiders: B- (Last week D)
After a very disappointing Monday Night Football appearance in week eight which resulted in Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler getting the boot from Mark Davis, the Raider’s offense clicked under interim head coach Antonio Pierce. Aidan O’Connell may not have thrown any touchdowns or interceptions but he was an effective game manager. Josh Jacobs rushed for 98 yards on 26 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns and Jakobi Meyers rushed for 17 yards on one carry and scored a rushing touchdown. It was a very great rebound win for a struggling team and they deserved to celebrate every minute of it.
Los Angeles Chargers: C (Last week A)
The Los Angeles Chargers offense had an okay night in the Meadowlands although they were stopped by the Jet’s defense at times. Justin Herbert didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions while Austin Ekeler rushed for 47 yards on 14 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns. However, Derius Davis scored a punt return touchdown early on in the first quarter which was the spark the Chargers rallied behind to get the victory in East Rutherford, NJ.
Los Angeles Rams: F (Last week D)
The Los Angeles Rams offense fell flat in Title Town against the Green Bay Packers. Brett Rypien threw one interception against no touchdowns while Royce Freeman rushed for 32 yards on 12 carries and Cooper Kupp caught two receptions for 48 yards on the day. It was another painful loss for the hurting Los Angeles Rams who need Matthew Stafford to recover from his thumb injury to stay afloat in the NFC West.
Miami Dolphins: C- (Last week B+)
The Dolphins offense left Frankfurt with a tough loss to Kansas City. Tua Tagovailoa threw one touchdown against zero interceptions while Raheem Morris rushed for 85 yards on 12 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, and Cedrick Wilson Jr. caught one reception for 31 yards and scored a touchdown. Tyreek Hill caught eight receptions for 62 yards but lost a fumble which resulted in a Chiefs touchdown. The Dolphins need to step it up against playoff-caliber teams as the weeks wind down.
Minnesota Vikings: B (Last week B-)
The Vikings managed to win dramatically thanks to Joshua Dobbs throwing a touchdown pass to Brandon Powell in the final seconds of the game. Dobbs threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions while scoring a rushing touchdown on 70 rushing yards. Alexander Mattison also scored a touchdown on the day for Minnesota while T.J. Hockenson led the Vikings with 69 receiving yards on seven receptions. It was very nice to see Joshua Dobbs secure the win over the Falcons after being traded by the Arizona Cardinals to get a fresh start in Minnesota!
New England Patriots: C- (Last week D+)
The Patriot’s offense made some noise despite dropping their week nine game 17-20 to the Washington Commanders. Mac Jones threw one touchdown pass against one interception while Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 87 yards on nine carries and scored a rushing touchdown, and Hunter Henry caught four receptions for 39 yards and scored a receiving touchdown. The Pats offense played well but needs to play a lot better against tougher opponents coming down the stretch of the season.
New Orleans Saints: B+ (Last week B-)
The Saints offense went to work against the Chicago Bears despite a somewhat close 24-17 victory. Derek Carr threw two touchdowns and Taysom Hill threw a touchdown, rushed for 52 yards on 11 carries, and caught four receptions for 13 yards and caught a receiving touchdown. Chris Olive caught six receptions for 46 yards and caught one touchdown while Juwan Johnson caught five receptions for 29 yards and caught a touchdown. If the Saint’s offense continues to play like this, they’ll be crowned NFC South Champions!
New York Giants: D- (Last week D)
The Giant’s offense was mostly shut down in Sin City as they fell to the Las Vegas Raiders 6-30. Daniel Jones left the game early with an ACL tear while Tommy DeVito came into the game and threw one touchdown against two interceptions. Saquon Barkley rushed for 90 yards on 16 attempts and Wan’Dale Robinson caught four receptions for 35 yards and scored the only touchdown for the Giants. It was a very rough day for the Giant’s offense as they need to put this loss behind them and salvage whatever they can and finish the season on a high note.
New York Jets: F (Last week C)
It was a very bad night for the Jets offense as they were dominated and outplayed by the Chargers defense and kept out of the end zone all game except for two field goals. Zach Wilson didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions but he was sacked eight times. Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson had productive nights but Allen Lazard was penalized which killed off a 14-yard run by Hall. It was a very bad night for the Jet’s offense that needs to turn things around and get back on track for the next weeks to come.
Philadelphia Eagles: A- (Last week B+)
The Eagles soared to victory in their week nine divisional matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Jalen Hurts scored a rushing touchdown and threw two touchdown passes in the late afternoon while Kenneth Gainwell rushed for 22 yards on three carries and scored a touchdown. A.J. Brown caught seven receptions for 66 yards and scored a touchdown and Devonta Smith caught three receptions for 51 yards and scored a touchdown. The Eagles are making the case for having the best offense in the league this season and this Eagles team still has more business to take care of as the season continues.
Pittsburgh Steelers: B- (Last week D+)
The Steelers’ offense may not be football’s best offense with Matt Canada calling the plays but they can play well some of the time and get wins in the process. Kenny Pickett threw one touchdown against one interception while Najee Harris rushed for 69 yards on 16 carries and bulldozed his way into the endzone for a touchdown in the first quarter. Dionte Johnson caught seven receptions for 90 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown for Pittsburgh in the fourth quarter. The Steelers’ offense played well, but still has a lot of work to do in the second half of the season!
San Francisco 49ers: Bye Week (Last week D)
The 49ers offense needs to step it up with more improvements from Brock Purdy if they want to win the NFC West again.
Seattle Seahawks: F (Last week C)
It was a rough game for Seattle during their week nine visit to Baltimore. Geno Smith didn’t throw a touchdown pass and threw an interception. The Seahawks rushing game was held to 28 yards all game. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught six receptions for 63 yards while DK Metcalf caught one reception for 50 yards. Jason Myers scored the only points for Seattle on a field goal. The Seahawks have good playmakers who ran into an elite Baltimore defense that silenced them. It’s back to the drawing board for Seattle as they look to rebound from this loss!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B- (Last week C+)
The Buccaneers did everything they could against the Texans despite dropping the game on a last-second touchdown by Houston. Baker Mayfield threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions while Rachaad White rushed for 73 yards on 20 carries and scored two touchdowns. Mike Evans had a productive day as he caught four receptions for 87 yards while Cade Otto caught six receptions for 70 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Bucs have good playmakers but need to finish stronger against tougher opponents.
Tennessee Titans: D+ (Last week A-)
The Titan’s offense was mostly silent in their week nine matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Will Levis threw no touchdown passes and one interception while Derrick Henry had 75 rushing yards on 17 carries and scored Tennessee’s only touchdown on the night. DeAndre Hopkins caught four receptions for 60 yards and Kyle Philips caught four receptions for 68 yards on the night as well. The Titans offense also ran into an unstoppable Steelers defense led by TJ Watt and some of the NFL’s best young defenders.
Washington Commanders: C (Last week B-)
The Washington Commanders played a somewhat decent game and secured the 20-17 victory over the New England Patriots. Sam Howell threw one touchdown against one interception while Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 63 yards on 18 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, and Jahan Dotson caught four receptions for 69 yards and scored a receiving touchdown. The Commanders have good playmakers and need to step up against tougher opponents in their conference such as the Dallas Cowboys- coming up in week 12.
