Some elite offenses in week eight took a step back, while other offenses continued to put up points on their way to victory against opposing defenses and other offenses suffered major injury blows with will impact their production moving forward.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL Team offenses after week 8 games:
Arizona Cardinals: D+ (Last week D)
The Cardinal’s offense played alright, but couldn’t get the job done against the Baltimore Ravens. Joshua Dobbs threw two touchdowns against two interceptions and scored a rushing touchdown while Trey McBride caught 10 receptions for 95 yards and scored a touchdown and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown caught six receptions for 33 yards and scored a touchdown. The Cardinals have good playmakers, but can’t finish games which has been the team’s largest issue all season long.
Atlanta Falcons: D+ (Last week C+)
It was a mixed to not-so-good day for the Falcons offense. Desmond Ridder left the game with a concussion after being sacked five times, the only positive he had was he threw no interceptions all game. Taylor Heinicke replaced Ridder and threw a touchdown. Scott Miller caught two receptions for 14 yards and scored a touchdown and Bijan Robinson rushed for 62 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown. The Falcon’s offense wasn’t as explosive as it was in past weeks as Kyle Pitts was quiet with three receptions for 35 yards all game as well as poor quarterback play from Ridder. It’s back to the drawing board for Atlanta.
Baltimore Ravens: B (Last week A)

The Raven’s offense played very well as usual as they defeated the Arizona Cardinals 31-24. Lamar Jackson threw one touchdown against zero interceptions while Gus Edwards rushed for 80 yards on 19 carries and scored three rushing touchdowns while Mark Andrews caught four receptions for 40 yards and scored a touchdown. The Ravens played well but need to slightly step it up to compete against tougher opponents down the stretch of the season as we enter the halfway point in the 2023 season.
Buffalo Bills: B+ (Last week D+)
The Bills offense turned the switch back to positivity with their Thursday Night win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Josh Allen threw touchdowns against one interception and scored a rushing touchdown while Gabe Davis and Dalton Kincaid scored receiving touchdowns from Allen. It was a very productive night for Buffalo as they look to stay atop of the AFC East despite week seven’s drop to the New England Patriots.
Carolina Panthers: C- (Last week Bye Week)
Bryce Young and company finally got the Panthers their first win of the season. Young threw one touchdown against no interceptions but was sacked six times. Adam Thielen caught eight receptions for 72 yards and Tommy Tremble caught two receptions for four yards and scored the Panther’s lone touchdown of the day. The Panthers also got lucky in this game thanks to Eddy Pineiro kicking three field goals including the last-second game-winner against the Texans.
Chicago Bears: D (Last week B-)
The Bears fell flat in their primetime Sunday night battle with the Los Angeles Chargers. Tyson Bagent threw two interceptions despite scoring a rushing touchdown and Darrynton Evans rushed for 18 yards on four carries and scored the other rushing touchdown. DJ Moore caught four receptions for 55 yards on the evening. The Bears have a lot more work to do and need to turn things around as soon as possible!
Cincinnati Bengals: B+ (Last week Bye Week)
The Bengals offense took apart the 49ers defense in their week eight 31-17 victory. Joe Burrow threw three touchdowns to Ja’Marr Chase, Tyler Boyd, and Andrei Iosivas while Joe Mixon rushed for 87 yards on 16 attempts and scored a rushing touchdown. The Bengals offense is starting to look more like the Bengals team from 2021 that reached Super Bowl 56 before they fell short to the Los Angeles Rams. If they continue playing like this, they can potentially go back to the Super Bowl and possibly win.
Cleveland Browns: D+ (Last week C)
The Browns offense played average to mediocre in Seattle as PJ Walker threw one touchdown against two interceptions on the day. Kareem Hunt rushed for 55 yards on 14 carries and scored a touchdown while David Njoku caught four receptions for 77 yards and scored a touchdown. The Browns offense could’ve played worse, but do have playmakers on their team despite no DeShaun Watson leading their team.
Dallas Cowboys: A (Last week Bye Week)
What a week for the Dallas Cowboys in their victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Dak Prescott threw four touchdowns against one interception while CeeDee Lamb caught 12 receptions for 158 yards, and scored two touchdowns. Brandin Cooks and Jake Ferguson both scored touchdowns on the day while Tony Pollard rushed for 53 yards on 12 carries. The Cowboys’ offense is looking similar to the Chiefs’ offense in this week’s victory over the Los Angeles Rams, but potentially a tiny bit better with CeeDee Lamb leading the way!
Denver Broncos: C+ (Last week C+)
It was quite a weird day for the Broncos offense in a good way as they secured a 24-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Russell Wilson threw three touchdowns against no interceptions while Javonte Williams had 85 rushing yards on 27 carries. Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, and Javonte Williams all caught receiving touchdowns against the Chief’s mighty defense. It was a great upset for the Denver Broncos offense and they can shock even the best of teams in the NFL.
Detroit Lions: B+ (Last week D-)
The Lions offense played very well against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders. Jared Goff threw one touchdown against one interception while Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 152 yards on 26 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Sam LaPorta caught eight receptions for 57 yards and scored a touchdown while Amon-Ra St. Brown caught six receptions for 108 yards. It was back to business for the NFC North-hungry Detroit Lions!
Green Bay Packers: D (Last week C-)
The Packers offense struggled in their week eight battle with their division rival, the Minnesota Vikings. Jordan Love threw one touchdown against one interception while the Packers rushing game was held to 74 yards all game. Christian Watson had three catches for 33 yards all game while Romeo Doubs had four receptions for 18 yards and scored the Packer’s lone touchdown of the day. It was another terrible performance on Green Bay’s part and they need to turn their sinking ship around fast to stay afloat in the playoff race.
Houston Texans: C- (Last week Bye Week)
The Texans managed to hand the Panthers their first win of the season in their week eight 13-15 loss. C.J. Stroud did not throw any touchdowns or interceptions but scored a rushing touchdown on the day. Noah Brown caught three receptions for 57 yards on the day. The Texans need to play better on offense and score more receiving touchdowns as the season is officially at the halfway point. However, despite the Texan’s average performance, this loss could’ve been much more!
Indianapolis Colts: C+ (Last week C-)
Despite the loss, the Colts offense did not play badly. Gardner Minshew threw two touchdowns against one interception. Zack Moss rushed for 66 yards on 11 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Michael Pittman Jr. caught eight receptions for 40 yards and scored a touchdown and Drew Ogletree caught one reception for 33 yards and scored a touchdown. The Colts offense played a fair game against the Saints but still got dropped by the Saints in the very end. They will get a win in the coming weeks as the season continues to roll on through.
Jacksonville Jaguars: B- (Last week B)
The Jaguars offense played a decent game in the Steel City. Trevor Lawrence threw a touchdown against one interception on the day. Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 79 yards on 24 carries, caught three receptions for 70 yards, and scored a touchdown. Evan Engram caught 10 receptions for 88 yards and lost a fumble on the day. Kicker Brandon McManus was four for four on field goals as he completed all four of his field goals which also helped the Jags get the win in Pittsburgh!
Kansas City Chiefs: D (Last week A)
The Chief’s offense not only couldn’t get into the endzone in Denver all game but laid an egg and looked like fools against the Broncos’ defense. Patrick Mahomes threw two costly interceptions and no touchdowns while the rushing attack was held to 62 yards all game. Travis Kelce caught six receptions for 58 yards and Rashee Rice caught four receptions for 56 yards. It was not a good day for the Chiefs who were expected to win this game but losses do happen and the Chiefs will rebound from this loss very quickly.
Las Vegas Raiders: D (Last week D-)
It was a very sloppy night for the Las Vegas Raiders offense. Jimmy Garoppolo threw one interception while Josh Jacobs rushed for 61 yards on 15 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. DaVante Adams had a very frustrating night catching one reception for 11 yards and Jakobi Meyers caught one reception for 19 yards. It was a very bad performance for the Raiders’ wide receivers as well as Jimmy G. The Raiders need to truly regroup and focus on the upcoming weeks.
Los Angeles Chargers: A (Last week C-)
The Los Angeles Chargers offense turned things around with a massive Sunday night win over the Chicago Bears. Justin Herbert threw three touchdowns and no interceptions while Austin Ekeler, Donald Parham Jr., and Simi Fehoko all scored touchdowns on the night. The Chargers may not be the best time in the league, but they can play solid football when the light shines on them the most!
Los Angeles Rams: D (Last week C-)
The Ram’s offense did not have a good day against a brick wall known as the Cowboy’s defense. Matthew Stafford and backup Brett Rypien were both sacked in the game while Stafford threw one touchdown against one interception that ended up being a pick-six. Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp were cooled off against the Cowboy’s defense while Ben Skowronek caught one reception for 20 yards and scored a touchdown, and Royce Freeman rushed for 44 yards on nine carries and scored a rushing touchdown. The Rams have a lot of work ahead of them to stay relevant and to run past other opposing defenses as the season continues.
Miami Dolphins: B+ (Last week C+)
The Dolphins offense was not playing around when they hosted the New England Patriots. Tua Tagovailoa threw three touchdowns against one interception while Raheem Mostert rushed 46 yards on 13 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Jaylen Waddle caught seven receptions for 121 yards and scored a touchdown, Tyreek Hill caught eight receptions for 112 yards and scored a touchdown, and Cedrick Wilson Jr. caught one reception for one yard and scored a touchdown. The Dolphin’s offense continues to play at an elite level no matter who their opponents are.
Minnesota Vikings: B- (Last week B+)
The Vikings entered enemy territory and came out as victors even though they lost Kirk Cousins to a torn Achilles. Cousins did throw two touchdowns against no interceptions while the Vikings’ rushing attack was held to 62 yards on the ground. Cam Akers did rush for 19 yards on nine carries and scored a rushing touchdown. T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison both caught touchdown passes from Cousins during the victory while K.J. Osborn caught six receptions for 99 yards. The Vikings may have won the game, but without Kirk Cousins, they’re going to feel some serious stings in the long run as the season continues to progress.
New England Patriots: D+ (Last week C+)
The Patriot’s offense didn’t play their best football in sunny South Beach, but they did get some points on the board. Mac Jones threw two touchdowns against one interception while the Patriots rushing attack was held to 77 yards all game. Kendrick Bourne caught three receptions for 36 yards and scored a touchdown while Juju Smith-Schuster caught one reception for three yards and scored a touchdown. Unfortunately, Bourne suffered a torn ACL in the Patriot’s loss to Miami and will be out for the rest of the season which is a major blow to an already woeful offense looking for a miracle on any given Sunday.
New Orleans Saints: B- (Last week C-)
The Saint’s offense came into Indianapolis and played a great offensive game. Derek Carr threw two touchdowns on the day. Alvin Kamara rushed for 59 yards on 17 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, caught four receptions for 51 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown. Rashid Shaheed caught three receptions for 153 yards and scored a touchdown while Michael Thomas caught four receptions for 68 yards on the day. The Saints have a good offensive unit that can rebound from tough losses and secure wins moving forward.
New York Giants: D (Last week C)
The Giants did not have the best day offensively in their week eight 13-10 loss to the New York Jets. Tyrod Taylor left the game with a rib injury and Tommy DeVito finished the game with 12 rushing yards on four carries and scored the Giants’ only touchdown. Darren Waller suffered a hamstring injury while catching one reception for four yards. Saquon Barkley rushed for 128 yards on 36 carries. It was not a good day for the Giant’s offense as they struggled against the Jets and let a close game slip away.
New York Jets: C (Last week Bye Week)
The Jets offense played slightly better than their crosstown rival, the New York Giants. Zach Wilson threw one touchdown pass and no interceptions but was sacked four times in the game. Breece Hall rushed for 17 yards on 12 carries, caught six receptions for 76 yards, and scored one receiving touchdown. Garrett Wilson caught seven receptions for 100 yards on the day. Greg Zuerlein bailed the Jets out in overtime by kicking the game-winning field goal. The Jet’s offense played better than the Giants, but need to improve upon their performance when they face tougher opponents down the road. The Jet’s offensive line also took a blow when Alijah Vera-Tucker suffered a torn Achilles in the win which is a blow to the offensive line.
Philadelphia Eagles: B+ (Last week A-)
The Eagle’s offense had quite the day. Jalen Hurts threw four touchdowns against no interceptions. D’Andre Swift rushed for 57 yards on 16 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. A.J. Brown caught eight receptions for 130 yards and scored two touchdowns while DeVonta Smith and former Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones both caught touchdowns in the victory over the Washington Commanders.
Pittsburgh Steelers: D+ (Last week C+)
The Steeler’s offense took a hit when Kenny Pickett left the game with a rib injury which forced Mitchell Trubisky into the game Trubisky threw one touchdown against two interceptions on the day. The Steelers’ rushing attack was held to only 70 yards while George Pickens scored the only touchdown for Pittsburgh on the day. The Steeler’s offense isn’t the best in football, but plays worse when Pickett is injured and out of the lineup.
San Francisco 49ers: D (Last week D+)
The injured and hurt 49ers fell flat against the visiting and red-hot Cincinnati Bengals. Brock Purdy threw one touchdown against two interceptions while Christian McCaffrey rushed for 54 yards on 12 carries and scored a rushing touchdown as well as caught six receptions for 64 yards and scored a receiving touchdown. The offense is hurting and cannot keep on relying on McCaffrey to constantly bail them out of tough situations.
Seattle Seahawks: C (Last week B-)
The Seahawk’s offense played slightly better than the Brown’s offense on the day with Geno Smith throwing two touchdowns against two interceptions while Kenneth Walker III rushed for 66 yards on eight carries and Jake Bobo rushed for three yards on one carry and scored a touchdown. Tyler Lockett caught eight receptions for 81 yards and scored a touchdown and Jaxson Smith-Njigba caught three receptions for 36 yards and scored a touchdown. The Seahawks have a decent offense but like the Browns, their main identity is on defense that leads the way to victory.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: C+ (Last week C-)
Baker Mayfield and the Bucs didn’t play that bad. In fact, Mayfield threw two touchdowns and no interceptions despite the loss in Buffalo. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans both scored receiving touchdowns while the Bucs rushing attack was held to 78 yards on the night. The Bucs may dropped this game to the Bills, but they put their best efforts in on offense. They will rebound and secure more wins in the coming weeks.
Tennessee Titans: A- (Last week Bye Week)
The Tennessee Titans offense was ready to attack coming off their bye week. Will Levis threw four touchdown passes in the game and DeAndre Hopkins caught three of those passes. Hopkins caught four receptions for 128 yards on the day and scored touchdowns in three different quarters while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine caught one reception for 33 yards and scored a touchdown. Derrick Henry rushed for 101 yards on 22 carries on the day. The Titan’s offense looked incredible with Levis at the helm and shows he can potentially turn things around for the franchise.
Washington Commanders: B- (Last week D+)
The Commanders played just as well on offense against the Eagles. Sam Howell threw four touchdown passes against one interception while Jahan Dotson caught eight receptions for 108 yards and scored a touchdown. Other receiving touchdowns scored by the Commanders were by Jamison Crowder, Terry McLaurin, and Logan Thomas. The Commanders can play on offense but weren’t able to finish the game against a tougher and more physical Eagles team.
