The 2024 NFL regular season is finally back, and we got to see some exciting offenses kick off the 2024 season with some seriously impressive victories. Nonetheless, some NFL teams’ offenses didn’t get the victories they were hoping for.
Some offenses left our heads scratching, with more question marks than answers on whether they can truly compete for a playoff spot. However, week one has only been filed away, and a lot of changes can and will happen in the regular season.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL teams’ offenses after week one.
Which NFL teams showcased the best offense in the game after week one of this season?
Arizona Cardinals: B-
Despite the 28-34 loss, the Cardinals’ offense looked great throughout the game. Kyler Murray threw a touchdown against no interceptions and rushed for 57 yards on five carries, James Conner rushed for 50 yards on 16 carries and scored a touchdown, Greg Dortch caught six receptions for 47 yards, and Michael Wilson caught one reception for five yards and scored a touchdown. However, Marvin Harrison Jr. had a very quiet game, and Murray could’ve thrown him a touchdown pass at the end of the game but threw the ball to Dortch instead.
Harrison Jr. caught one reception for four yards and was targeted three times in the game. Harrison Jr. will make some noise, eventually. He still has some adjusting to get used to in the league. However, DeeJay Dallas had a great game, as he scored a 96-yard kick return for a touchdown.
Atlanta Falcons: D+

The Falcons’ offense started their week one matchup on a good note but was completely shut out in the second half of the game. Kirk Cousins threw a touchdown pass to Kyle Pitts but was intercepted twice. Bijan Robinson rushed for 68 yards on 18 carries and caught five receptions for 43 yards, Pitts caught three receptions for 26 yards and scored the Falcons’ only touchdown, and Ray-Ray McCloud III caught four receptions for 52 yards.
Even though Cousins is healthy after his Achilles injury last season, he needs to drastically improve, otherwise Michael Penix Jr. will take over and potentially get the Falcons out of their losing funk. We’ll see what the rest of the NFL season holds for the Falcons moving forward.
Baltimore Ravens: B-
Despite Isaiah Likely’s toe just on the line at the end of the game, the Ravens’ offense looks to have another strong and productive season. Lamar Jackson threw a touchdown against no interceptions but was sacked once and lost a fumble. Jackson also had 122 rushing yards, while Derrick Henry rushed for 46 yards on 13 carries and scored a rushing touchdown on the night. Isaiah Likely did catch nine receptions for 111 yards and scored a receiving touchdown, but nearly had an injury scare before almost scoring a touchdown- a reversed toe-on-the-line moment.
Jackson did miss some key throws that would’ve been game-changers. If the Ravens get the offensive line in check and focus on giving Jackson a slightly bigger pass window for Rashod Bateman, Zay Flowers, Likely, and Mark Andrews to make key plays in the coming weeks of the NFL season, they will be a force.
Buffalo Bills: B
Despite starting slow and scoring their first touchdown to close out the first half, the Bills’ offense held their own and defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-28. Josh Allen threw two touchdowns against no interceptions and scored two rushing touchdowns but was sacked twice. James Cook rushed for 71 yards on 19 carries, while both Khalil Shakir and Mack Hollins both scored touchdowns. Despite the wide receivers on the Bills topping 51 yards, Josh Allen knows how to find ways to win football games, and he proved that with the team’s 34-28 comeback victory.
Carolina Panthers: F
What can go wrong will go wrong, as the Panthers’ offense flopped in their 10-47 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Bryce Young threw two costly interceptions (one to start the Panthers’ opening drive) but scored a rushing touchdown. The Panthers’ rushing attack was held to 58 rushing yards, while Miles Sanders had 22 rushing yards on five carries.
Adam Thielen caught three receptions for 49 yards, and Jonathan Mingo caught two receptions for 40 yards but lost a fumble. It was a painful day to watch the Panthers’ offense. They need to hit the reset button fast if they want to earn a win this NFL season or risk becoming the first team to lose all their regular season games since the 2017 Cleveland Browns.
Chicago Bears: D+
The Bears’ offense had a tough Sunday despite getting the week one win 24-17 over the Tennessee Titans. Caleb Williams didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions, while D’Andre Swift rushed for 30 yards on 10 carries, and DJ Moore caught five receptions for 36 yards. Williams will develop and improve over time, but the lack of offensive firepower is a massive weakness for the team.
Upcoming opponents on defense will take advantage of that and can potentially make the Bears’ offense look like a laughing stock. They need to shore their offense up immediately, especially since their opponent in week two is the Houston Texans.

Cincinnati Bengals: D+
The Bengals’ offense had a rough Sunday as they fell to the New England Patriots 10-16. Joe Burrow threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked three times. Zack Moss rushed for 44 yards on nine carries and scored a rushing touchdown, and Ja’Marr Chase caught six receptions for 62 yards.
The Bengals’ offense didn’t get a first down until the middle of the second quarter, and the other wideouts on the depth chart didn’t top 30 yards throughout the game. The Bengals have to get some work done, and fast, to fix a lot of issues before they square off against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in week two.
Cleveland Browns: D-
It was a brutal week one for the Browns’ offense, as they were crushed by the Dallas Cowboys 17-33. Deshaun Watson threw a touchdown against two interceptions and was sacked six times, Jerome Ford rushed for 44 yards on 12 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, David Njoku caught four receptions for 44 yards, even though he left the game with an ankle injury, and Jerry Jeudy caught three receptions for 25 yards and scored a touchdown in his Browns debut.
The Browns’ offense is missing Nick Chubb, who is recovering from his MCL and ACL injuries from 2023. The offense needs to improve, or they’ll become an AFC bottom-feeder and likely miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2022 NFL season.
Dallas Cowboys: A-
The Cowboys’ offense celebrated Dak Prescott’s new four-year $240 million deal by defeating the Cleveland Browns 33-17. Prescott threw a touchdown against no interceptions, Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 40 yards on ten carries and scored a rushing touchdown, CeeDee Lamb caught five receptions for 61 yards, and Brandin Cooks caught four receptions for 40 yards and scored a touchdown.
The Cowboys looked very sharp and focused as they began their quest for another strong season with high expectations despite not signing any notable names in the 2024 NFL off-season.
Denver Broncos: D+
Even though the Broncos shot themselves in the foot in the third quarter, as the Seahawks regained the lead and eventually defeated them 20-26, the Broncos offense could’ve played a lot worse. Bo Nix threw two interceptions but did score a rushing touchdown. None of the Broncos’ running backs even topped 30 rushing yards, as Jaleel McLaughlin had 27 rushing yards.
Josh Reynolds led the Broncos in receiving yards with 45 yards on five receptions, but Nix missed a few wide-open receivers, which would’ve shifted the tide of the game in the Broncos’ favor. That is a lesson the team will hopefully take with them in week two.
Detroit Lions: B+
The Lions’ offense came into week one strong, as they defeated the Los Angeles Rams 26-20 in overtime. Jared Goff threw a touchdown against an interception but was sacked twice. David Montgomery rushed for 91 yards on 17 carries and scored the game-ending touchdown to win the game in OT.
Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 40 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown, and Jameson Williams caught five receptions for 121 yards and scored a touchdown. The Lions looked fierce and played a very competitive Rams team. They look to maintain control of the NFC North moving forward as the 2024 NFL season progresses.
Green Bay Packers: B
Despite losing a tough 29-34 nail-biter of a game in Brazil and losing Jordan Love for three to six weeks because of an MCL sprain, the Packers played well. Love threw two touchdowns against one interception, Josh Jacobs rushed for 84 yards on 16 carries and looks to flourish as the NFL season progresses, Jayden Reed caught four receptions for 138 yards and scored a touchdown, and Christian Watson caught three receptions for 13 yards and scored a touchdown.
Losing Love is going to sting for the next three to six weeks. Malik Willis needs to learn the Packers’ offense fast while Love recovers.
Houston Texans: A-
The Texans’ offense played a very close and competitive game in their 29-27 victory against the Indianapolis Colts. C.J. Stroud threw two touchdowns against no interceptions, Joe Mixon rushed for 159 yards on 30 carries and scored a touchdown, Nico Collins caught six receptions for 117 yards, and Stefon Diggs caught six receptions for 33 yards and scored two touchdowns. Veteran Joe Mixon makes the Texans’ running attack very strong, and Stefon Diggs will continue to flourish with Stroud and the Texans’ offense moving forward.
Indianapolis Colts: B-
The Colts’ offense may have played a very competitive battle against their AFC South rivals, the Houston Texans, but they came short in a very close 27-29 loss. Anthony Richardson threw two touchdowns against one interception and led the Colts in rushing yards with 56 rushing yards on six carries, while Jonathan Taylor had a tough day as the Texans’ defense kept him down to 48 rushing yards. Alec Pierce had a great game, as he caught three receptions for 125 yards and scored a touchdown.
Ashton Dulin caught one reception for 54 yards and scored a touchdown, and Michael Pittman Jr. caught four receptions for 31 yards. A very productive day for the Colts’ offense, but Taylor needs to hit the ground running as the Colts travel to Green Bay, WI, for a week two matchup against the Packers.
Jacksonville Jaguars: C+
The Jaguars offense started well but collapsed, as the Miami Dolphins capitalized on the team’s mistakes in the 17-20 loss. Trevor Lawrence threw a touchdown pass to Brian Thomas Jr. with no interceptions, Tank Bigsby rushed for 73 yards on 12 carries while Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 44 yards on 12 carries and scored a touchdown, and Thomas Jr. caught four receptions for 47 yards, and scored a touchdown.
Good start to the game, but a painful way to finish due to mistakes in the second half. All the Jaguars’ offense can do is learn from their mistakes in week one and bounce back in their week two matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
Kansas City Chiefs: A-
The Chiefs’ offense wasted no time as they returned to regular season action with the hopes of potentially winning a third-straight Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes threw a touchdown against one interception on the night. Isiah Pacheco rushed for 45 yards on 15 carries and scored a touchdown, while rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy had a great night as he rushed for 21 yards on one carry, scored a rushing touchdown, caught two receptions for 47 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown.
Rashee Rice had a very productive night as he caught seven receptions for 103 yards, and Travis Kelce caught three receptions for 34 yards. With Worthy in the offense, the Chiefs have a very reliable dual-threat receiver who has excellent speed, similar to Tyreek Hill when he was a member of the Chiefs. They still have very reliable talents in Rice, Kelce, Pacheco, and Noah Gray, to name a few offensive talents, who’ll have a very productive 2024 NFL season ahead of them.
Las Vegas Raiders: C-
The Raiders offense played an average game, statistically, but fell 10-22 to the Los Angeles Chargers. Gardner Minshew threw a touchdown against an interception, the Raiders’ rushing attack was held to 71 yards as none of their running backs topped 50 yards, and Alexander Mattison scored the Raiders’ only touchdown. Jakobi Meyers caught three receptions for 61 yards, and Davante Adams caught five receptions for 59 yards despite the loss.
The Raiders have solid playmakers in Meyers and Adams, but losing Josh Jacobs this past offseason is showing that Zamir White needs to step it up in week two and beyond.
Los Angeles Chargers: B
The Chargers’ offense looked refreshed under Jim Harbaugh’s leadership as they won their home opener 22-10 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Justin Herbert threw a touchdown against no interceptions despite being sacked once, J.K. Dobbins rushed for 135 yards on 10 carries and scored his first touchdown since week one of the 2023 NFL season when he was with the Baltimore Ravens and suffered an Achilles injury.
However, the Chargers’ receivers and tight ends didn’t top 40 yards, as Ladd McConkey caught five receptions for 39 yards and scored a touchdown. The Chargers passing attack needs to improve. Otherwise, stronger opponents will take advantage of that and run all over the Chargers in the weeks to come.
Los Angeles Rams: B-
Despite falling to the Detroit Lions 20-26 in overtime, the Rams’ offense played well but didn’t have a chance to score points in overtime because of the NFL overtime rules. Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown against an interception, Kyren Williams rushed for 50 yards on 18 carries and scored a touchdown, Cooper Kupp caught 14 receptions for 110 yards and scored a touchdown, and Tyler Johnson had a great game as he caught five receptions for 79 yards.
Losing Puka Nacua to a knee injury is going to hurt, but the Rams’ rushing attack needs to slightly step it up in the coming weeks, especially in their week two matchup against their NFC West rivals, the Arizona Cardinals, on the road.
Miami Dolphins: B
The Dolphins’ offense started slow but came back strong in the second half, as the Jacksonville Jaguars shot themselves in the foot with too many missed opportunities. Tua Tagovailoa threw a touchdown against no interceptions despite getting sacked three times. The Dolphins rushing attack was held to 81 total yards as Jeff Wilson Jr. led the team with 26 rushing yards, and De’Von Achane rushed for 24 yards on 10 carries and scored a touchdown.
Tyreek Hill had a strong performance as he caught seven receptions for 130 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown pass, despite getting pulled over outside of Hard Rock Stadium. Sometimes, a come-from-behind victory is the best kind of victory for a team. However, this was week one, and there were still tons of football to be played. The Dolphins offense needs to get ready for week two.
Minnesota Vikings: A-
The Vikings’ offense came ready to play in their 28-6 road victory over the New York Giants to open the 2024 NFL season. Sam Darnold threw two touchdowns against one interception but was sacked once, Aaron Jones rushed for 94 yards on 14 carries and scored a touchdown, Justin Jefferson caught four receptions for 59 yards and scored a touchdown, and Jalen Nailor caught one reception for 21 yards and scored a touchdown.
Despite no J.J. McCarthy, it didn’t look like a problem for the Vikings, for now, as they cruised to an easy week one victory with their sights set on making noise as a potential wildcard dark horse if they continue playing like week one.
New England Patriots: C-
The Patriots offense didn’t score any receiving touchdowns on the day, but they did secure the 16-10 upset victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Jacoby Brissett was a good game manager who played well but needs to be more aggressive in the passing attack. Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 120 yards on 25 carries and scored the Pats’ only touchdown all game, while veteran tight end Austin Hooper caught two receptions for 31 yards all game. A good win for a young Patriots team trying to find its identity, but as mentioned earlier, they need to be more aggressive with the passing attack as the NFL season continues.
New Orleans Saints: A
The Saints’ offense dominated the Carolina Panthers in their 47-10 week one victory. Derek Carr threw three touchdowns against no interceptions, Alvin Kamara rushed for 83 yards on 15 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, Jamaal Williams rushed for 38 yards on 11 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, Rashid Shaheed caught three receptions for 73 yards and scored a touchdown, Foster Moreau caught four receptions for 43 yards and scored a touchdown, and Juwan Johnson caught two receptions for 26 yards and scored a touchdown. A strong showcase of the Saints’ offense, which felt like we watched a practice as the Panthers struggled all afternoon.
New York Giants: F
The Giants’ offense looked like a train wreck in their 6-28 home opening loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Daniel Jones threw two costly interceptions (one of them was a 10-yard pick-six to Andrew Van Ginkel) and was sacked five times. Meanwhile, the Giants’ rushing attack was held to 74 rushing yards, with Devin Singletary having 37 rushing yards on 10 carries.
Rookie Malik Nabers caught five receptions for 66 yards in his NFL regular season debut, as no other wide receiver or tight end topped 50 yards on the depth chart all game. Graham Gano kicked two field goals to give the G-Men their only points of the game. The Giants’ offense truly needs to look at themselves in the mirror and hit the reset button, fast, as they get prepared for their week two matchup against the Washington Commanders on the road.
New York Jets: C-
The Jets showed some flashes but came up short in their 19-32 loss, even with Aaron Rodgers back in action and playing a majority of the game. Rodgers threw a touchdown against an interception, Breece Hall rushed for 54 yards on 16 carries and scored a touchdown, Allen Lazard caught six receptions for 89 yards and scored two touchdowns, and Garrett Wilson caught six receptions for 60 yards.
Rodgers will continue to shake off the cobwebs as he returns to NFL action, but the Jets’ offense has too many talented athletes to drop games and need to return to the win column quickly.
Philadelphia Eagles: B+
Despite a sloppy first quarter due to the turf conditions at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil, the Eagles got themselves back up and went to work for the remainder of the game. Jalen Hurts threw two touchdowns against two interceptions despite getting sacked twice and fumbling the ball twice.
Saquon Barkley had a monster game as he rushed for 109 yards on 24 carries, scored two rushing touchdowns, caught two receptions for 23 yards, and scored a receiving touchdown, while A.J. Brown caught five receptions for 119 yards and scored a touchdown. If the Eagles’ offense continues to play dominant and fast, as they did against the Packers, they can potentially reclaim the NFC East crown by the end of the season.
Pittsburgh Steelers: B-
The Steelers’ offense may not have scored any touchdowns, as Chris Boswell made six field goals, but they had a very productive afternoon in Atlanta. Justin Fields was a great game manager all game despite getting sacked twice. Najee Harris rushed for 70 yards on 20 carries, while Fields rushed for 57 yards on 14 carries, and George Pickens caught six receptions for 85 yards. Despite the Steelers not scoring any touchdowns, the offense looks like they are in good hands, but things can change as the NFL season continues.
San Francisco 49ers: A-
The 49ers’ offense continued to dominate on all fronts as they defeated the New York Jets 32-19. Brock Purdy may not have thrown any touchdowns or interceptions, but he managed the game very well. Jordan Mason, filling in for McCaffrey, rushed for 147 yards on 28 carries and scored a touchdown; Deebo Samuel rushed for 23 yards on eight carries, scored a touchdown, and caught five receptions for 54 yards, and Jauan Jennings caught five receptions for 64 yards.
The star of the 49ers’ offense in their week one victory belongs to Jordan Mason, who will definitely form a great running duo with Christian McCaffrey. The rest of the offense played great and will continue to strike fear in the NFC West.
Seattle Seahawks: C+
The Seahawks’ offense started the game shakily against the Denver Broncos as they gave up two safeties in the first half but managed to turn things around in the second half and win 26-20. Geno Smith threw a touchdown against an interception and scored a rushing touchdown. Kenneth Walker III rushed for 103 yards on 20 carries and scored a touchdown, Tyler Lockett caught six receptions for 77 yards, and Zach Charbonnet caught two receptions for 29 yards and scored a touchdown.
The offensive line looked very questionable in the first half of the game but managed to turn things around and help Geno Smith remain comfortable in the pocket in the second half. Tyler Lockett and Kenneth Walker III also looked solid and will continue to lead the Seahawks offense to victory moving forward.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: A-
The Buc’s offense looked as sharp as ever as they cruised to a dominant 37-20 victory over the Washington Commanders. Baker Mayfield threw four touchdowns against no interceptions, Bucky Irving rushed for 62 yards on nine carries, Chris Godwin caught eight receptions for 83 yards and scored a touchdown, Mike Evans caught five receptions for 61 yards and scored two touchdowns, and Jalen McMillan caught one reception for 32 yards and scored a touchdown.
Mike Evans continues to defy age as he and Mayfield’s chemistry looked incredible in the victory, and Godwin is a very reliable number two receiver on the roster. The Bucs need to continue having this electric energy if they want to snag the NFC South championship and return to the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans: D+
Despite starting the game well, the Titans’ offense was shut out in the second half as they lost 17-24 to the Chicago Bears. Will Levis threw a touchdown and two costly interceptions on the day, Tony Pollard rushed for 82 yards on 16 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, Calvin Ridley caught three receptions for 50 yards, and Chig Okonkwo caught two receptions for 15 yards and scored a touchdown. Although the Titans need to close out games on a high note and fix a lot of things offensively, the Bears defense played a very strong role in the loss by keeping the Titans out of the end zone and at bay during the second half.
Washington Commanders: D+
The Commanders’ offense struggled but could’ve been much worse in their 20-37 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jayden Daniels scored two rushing touchdowns but didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions. Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 40 yards on 12 carries and scored a touchdown, and Austin Ekeler rushed for 10 yards on two carries and caught four receptions for 52 yards.
The Commanders trading away Jahan Dotson to the Philadelphia Eagles showed how lackluster the team’s receiving depth is at this time. Daniels just doesn’t have a reliable pass catcher to throw the ball to outside of veteran Zach Ertz. The Commanders need to trade for an above-average wide receiver before the trade deadline (How about now?) to help Daniels out for the 2024 NFL season.
