Week 14 saw some more exciting games including an overtime contest between the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens and a very memorable Monday Night Football matchup for Tommy DeVito and the New York Giants against the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers became the fist team to clinch a playoff spot as everyone else will have to wait until the results come in during the coming weeks to clinch their own spots in the playoffs.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL Teams after the week 14 games:
Arizona Cardinals: Bye Week (Last week C+)
The Cardinals have been through a lot but need to play good football and be a playoff spoiler if they want to finish the 2023 season on a positive note.
Atlanta Falcons: C- (Last week C)
The Falcons put a lot of effort into their week 14 matchup before falling to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-29. Desmond Ridder threw one touchdown against one interception and scored a rushing touchdown while Bijan Robinson also scored a rushing touchdown. Drake London had 172 receiving yards while Kyle Pitts scored a touchdown. On defense, the Falcons had one sack and five pass deflections but had no interceptions on the afternoon. Divisional-round matchups are very tough as the Falcons lost control of the NFC South to the Bucs, for now, in a very wide-open division.
Baltimore Ravens: B- (Last week Bye Week)

The Ravens had themselves an intense battle with the Los Angeles Rams in a 37-31 overtime victory. Lamar Jackson threw three touchdowns against one interception but was sacked twice. The Ravens rushing attack had 139 rushing yards all afternoon. Odell Beckham Jr., Isaiah Likely, and Zay Flowers all scored touchdowns on a rainy afternoon. On defense, the Ravens had two sacks and three pass deflections but no interceptions or fumble recoveries. It was a tough and wet afternoon for the Ravens as they secured the win thanks to Tylan Wallace’s punt return touchdown, in overtime against the Rams, and look to continue winning out as they try to secure the one seed for the playoffs against the Miami Dolphins.
Buffalo Bills: B (Last week Bye Week)
The Bills who are currently on the hunt for a playoff spot traveled to Arrowhead Stadium and pulled away with a 20-17 upset victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Allen threw a touchdown against an interception and scored a rushing touchdown while James Cook scored a receiving touchdown in the first half. On defense, the Bills forced a Patrick Mahomes interception, and a fumble recovery, and sacked him once. The Bills need to win out to secure a spot in the playoffs or start the 2024 season on a fresh and positive note.
Carolina Panthers: F (Last week D)
The Panther’s 2023 season has continued to be a train wreck as they were defeated by their division rivals, the New Orleans Saints in a 6-28 loss. Bryce Young didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked four times and lost a fumble. Adam Thielen and Chubba Hubbard both had a very productive afternoon on the field but didn’t score any touchdowns. Eddie Pineiro made two of three field goals on the day for Carolina. On defense, the Panthers had one sack and one interception from Derrick Brown. The Panthers need this season to end- so that they can have a much better start for a fresh 2024.
Chicago Bears: B (Last week Bye Week)
The Bears returned to action after their week 13 bye week and dominated the Detroit Lions in a 28-13 win. Justin Fields threw a touchdown pass and scored a rushing touchdown while DJ Moore had himself a day as he scored a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in the third quarter. Cole Kmet and D’Onta Foreman also had a productive time on the field. On defense, the Bears had four sacks, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery as they shut the Lions out in the second half of the game and cooled them off in an upset victory.
Cincinnati Bengals: B- (Last week B)
The Bengals won in dominating fashion against the Indianapolis Colts, but it cost them, as Jake Browning suffered a thumb injury in the 34-14 victory. Browning threw two touchdowns against one interception. Browning and Joe Mixon scored rushing touchdowns while Chase Brown and Tanner Hudson scored receiving touchdowns. On defense, the Bengals had three sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery as they secured their second straight victory keeping their playoff hunt alive.
Cleveland Browns: B- (Last week C-)
The Browns got themselves a nice 31-27 win over the first-place Jacksonville Jaguars of the AFC South. Joe Flacco played like Joe Flacco when he was on the Baltimore Ravens with three touchdowns against one interception. Kareem Hunt scored a rushing touchdown, David Njoku scored two touchdowns, and David Bell scored a touchdown. On defense, the Browns had four sacks, three interceptions, and a fumble recovery. It was a solid win for the Browns as they fought tooth and nail to keep their wildcard spot secured against a playoff-caliber team at home.
Dallas Cowboys: A- (Last week B)
The Cowboys entered week 14 and defeated their longtime rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles 33-13 in a primetime divisional matchup. Dak Prescott threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked three times. Rico Dowdle, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup all scored touchdowns. On defense, the Cowboys had one sack and three fumble recoveries but no interceptions. The Cowboys played an excellent game against their division rivals and stole possession of first place in the division. They look to be poised to win out the rest of the season to compete for the NFC East crown.
Denver Broncos: B- (Last week D)
The Denver Broncos rebounded from their week 13 loss with a 24-9 victory over the woeful Los Angeles Chargers. Russell Wilson threw two touchdowns against one interception while Javonte Williams scored a rushing touchdown. Courtland Sutton and Adam Trautman both scored touchdowns on the day. On defense, the Broncos had six sacks, a fumble recovery, and an interception on the afternoon against the Chargers. With this win, the Broncos need to win out and the Chiefs need to lose one or two games for them to steal the AFC West and appear in the playoffs for the first time since 2015. For the Broncos that will be easier said than done- but anything is possible.
Detroit Lions: D+ (Last week B+)
The Lions traveled to the Windy City and had an off day as they fell to their NFC North foe, the Chicago Bears in a 13-28 loss. Jared Goff threw one touchdown against two interceptions while Jahmyr Gibbs scored a rushing touchdown and Josh Reynolds scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Lions had three sacks and four pass deflections but no interceptions. The Lions couldn’t get any offensive scoring going in the second half of the game and need to recover from this loss immediately if they want to win the NFC North.
Green Bay Packers: C- (Last week B+)
The Packers’ win streak came to a tough and heartbreaking end as they fell to the New York Giants 24-22 in a nail-biting Monday Night game. Jordan Love threw one touchdown against an interception while Jayden Reed scored a rushing touchdown, and Malik Heath scored a touchdown. On defense, the Packers had no sacks but two fumble recoveries in the effort against the Giants as they look to rebound from this painful loss.
Houston Texans: D- (Last week B-)
The Texans took a backward step as they lost 6-30 in upset fashion to the New York Jets. C.J. Stroud threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked four times and suffered a concussion. No one on the Texans’ receiving end had over 40 receiving yards but Devin Singletary scored the team’s only touchdown of the day against the Jets. On defense, the Texans had four sacks and two fumble recoveries but no interceptions on the afternoon. It was a rough afternoon for the Texans as the Jets’ defense got to them quickly and couldn’t do anything offensively for the most part. If the Texans want to make the playoffs as a wildcard team, they need to win out and not suffer any more losses for the remainder of the season.
Indianapolis Colts: D+ (Last week B-)
The Colts struggled in the jungle as they fell to the Cincinnati Bengals 14-34. Gardner Minshew threw one touchdown against an interception. The Colts’ rushing attack was held to 46 rushing yards on the night while Michael Pittman Jr. had a very productive day on the field and Mo Allie-Cox scored the only offensive touchdown for Indy. On defense, the Colts had no sacks but four pass deflections and a Ronnie Harrison Jr. pick sick on the afternoon. The Colts have a lot of work to do to rebound from this painful loss. Luckily for the Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans also lost their games.
Jacksonville Jaguars: D+ (Last week B-)
The Jaguars lost their second straight game in week 14’s 27-31 nail-biting loss to the Cleveland Browns. Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdowns against three interceptions but was sacked four times on the afternoon. Travis Etienne Jr. scored a rushing touchdown, Evan Engram scored two touchdowns, and Parker Washington scored a touchdown. On defense, the Jaguars had one sack, two fumble recoveries, and an interception. It wasn’t an easy day for Jacksonville but they put up a fight in Cleveland despite the loss. However, the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts both lost, as well, so the Jaguars standing in the AFC South is safe for now.
Kansas City Chiefs: C (Last week C-)
The Kansas City Chiefs as of late have not been playing their best football as little mistakes have cost them games as they fell to the Buffalo Bills in a 17-20 loss. Patrick Mahomes threw a touchdown pass against an interception and was sacked once. Jerick McKinnon scored a rushing touchdown while Rashee Rice also scored a touchdown. Travis Kelce, on a trick play, threw a touchdown to Kadarius Toney, but the play was called back due to Toney being offsides resulting in the Chiefs losing. On defense, the Chiefs had three sacks and one interception despite losing a close one. They need to pay attention to the Denver Broncos who are slowly catching up to them in the AFC West conference.
Las Vegas Raiders: D- (Last week Bye Week)
The Raiders returned to action after their bye week and played a very sloppy game against the Minnesota Vikings and lost 0-3. Aidan O’Connell threw no touchdowns against one interception but was sacked four times. Josh Jacobs rushed for 34 yards while Davante Adams had 53 receiving yards. On defense, the Raiders had five sacks but no interceptions or fumble recoveries. It was a disastrous game for both the Raiders and Vikings but the Raiders ended up falling short in a very low-scoring event.
Los Angeles Chargers: D (Last week D)
The Chargers’ struggles continued into week 14 as they fell to the Denver Broncos in a 7-24 loss. Justin Herbert threw one interception and no touchdowns but left the game with an index finger injury giving way for Easton Stick. Austin Ekeler scored the only touchdown for the Chargers while Quentin Johnston had 91 receiving yards and Keenan Allen had 68 receiving yards. On defense, the Chargers had two sacks and an interception. The Chargers need to make sure Herbert recovers or if he’s out for the season. The only plausible option, at this point, is to just implode and secure a high draft pick. The should consider showing Brandon Staley the exit door, as head coach.
Los Angeles Rams: C (Last week B-)
It was a tough and wet afternoon for the Rams as they fell to the Baltimore Ravens in an intense 31-37 overtime loss. Matthew Stafford threw three touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked twice. Kyren Williams led the Rams with 114 rushing yards while Cooper Kupp, Davis Allen, and Demarcus Robinson all scored touchdowns. Puka Nacua did have a good afternoon with 84 receiving yards. On defense, the Rams had two sacks and one interception from Ahkello Witherspoon. The Rams fought an intense battle with the Ravens but were undone by Tylan Wallace’s punt return for a touchdown that ended overtime and gave the Rams another painful loss.
Miami Dolphins: D+ (Last week A)
The Dolphins were brought back down to earth when they were defeated on Monday night by the Tennessee Titans in a very close 27-28 loss. Tua Tagovailoa threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked five times and lost a fumble. Raheem Mostert scored two rushing touchdowns, Jaylen Waddle had 79 receiving yards, and Tyreek Hill had 61 receiving yards but had a hamstring injury. On defense, the Dolphins had one sack, two fumble recoveries, and Zach Sieler had an interception returned for a pick-six. It was not the night the Dolphins were expecting but a loss happens and they need to shake it off and move forward.
Minnesota Vikings: D (Last week Bye Week)
The Vikings returned to action after their week 13 bye week as they barely beat the Las Vegas Raiders in a 3-0 victory. Joshua Dobbs didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked five times before getting benched for Nick Mullens who had more passing yards and helped set up the Vikings’ game-winning field goal. Alexander Mattison had 66 rushing yards while T.J. Hockenson had 53 receiving yards and Justin Jefferson returned to action with 27 receiving yards before leaving the game with another injury. On defense, the Vikings had four sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an interception. The Vikings need to get more points on the board whether it is Joshua Dobbs or Nick Mullens under center.
New England Patriots: C+ (Last week D)
The Patriots had themselves a turnaround with a 21-18 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. Bailey Zappe threw three touchdowns against one interception but was sacked twice while Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 68 yards on 22 carries and caught one receiving touchdown. Juju Smith-Schuster had 90 receiving yards while Hunter Henry scored two receiving touchdowns. On defense, the Patriots had two sacks and Jabrill Peppers had an interception returned for 32 yards. It was a deserved victory for the Patriots who have struggled all season. They really took out their frustrations on a Steelers team, as the Patriots hunt for a playoff spot.
New Orleans Saints: B- (Last week C-)
The Saints rebounded from their week 13 loss and dominated their weaker NFC South opponent, the Carolina Panthers in a 28-6 victory. Derek Carr, despite hurting his shoulder in week 13, threw two touchdowns against one interception. Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and Jimmy Graham all scored touchdowns on offense. On defense, the Saints had four sacks, and two fumble recoveries. D’Marco Jackson scored a touchdown via fumble recovery. It was a very good day for the Saints as they continue their fight for a playoff spot and whoever wins the NFC South against the likes of the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
New York Giants: A- (Last week Bye Week)
The Giants came out of their bye week with Tommy DeVito aka ‘Tommy Cutlets’ and got an impressive Monday Night 24-22 win over the Green Bay Packers. DeVito threw a touchdown against no interceptions while Saquon Barkley scored two rushing touchdowns, and Isaiah Hodgins scored a touchdown. On defense, the Giants had two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an interception. If the Giants continue playing like this, they can potentially finish the season on a positive note and be a playoff spoiler for an opponent still on the hunt for a playoff spot.
New York Jets: B- (Last week D)
The Jets made Zach Wilson the starter again after the failure of the Tim Boyle project. Wilson threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked four times and lost a fumble. Breece Hall rushed for 40 yards and scored a receiving touchdown while Xavier Gipson scored a rushing touchdown, and Randall Cobb scored a touchdown. On defense, the Jets had four sacks against C.J. Stroud and one sack against Davis Mills but no interceptions or fumble recoveries. If the Jets play like they did against the Texans, they can be a playoff spoiler and focus on regrouping and retooling the offense for Aaron Rodgers’ inevitable return in 2024.
Philadelphia Eagles: C- (Last week D+)
The Eagles entered week 14 looking to get a win after their week 13 loss but lost again this time to their longtime rival, the Dallas Cowboys 13-33. Jalen Hurts didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked once. A.J. Brown had 94 receiving yards while D’Andre Swift had 39 rushing yards. On defense, the Eagles had three sacks and no interceptions. However, Jalen Carter recovered a fumble and scored the only touchdown for Philadelphia in the third quarter. It was a tough loss for the Eagles as they soared above their competition for weeks on end until they played the Cowboys on the road.
Pittsburgh Steelers: D (Last week D+)
Despite a fourth-quarter comeback attempt, the Pittsburgh Steelers fell in a tough one to the New England Patriots. Mitch Trubisky threw one touchdown against one interception and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked twice. Najee Harris rushed for 29 yards while Jalen Warren rushed for 11 yards, and Dionte Johnson scored the Steelers’ only receiving touchdown on the night. On defense, the Steelers had two sacks and Mykal Walker had an interception returned for 30 yards. It was a tough blow for the Steelers who are looking to secure a wildcard playoff spot despite dropping another game to a below .500 team.
San Francisco 49ers: A- (Last week A-)
The 49ers once again shined in their week 14 28-16 divisional victory over the Seattle Seahawks with a touchdown scored in each quarter. Brock Purdy threw two touchdowns against one interception while Christian McCaffrey had a monster game with 145 rushing yards. Deebo Samuel scored a receiving and rushing touchdown, Jordan Mason scored a rushing touchdown, and George Kittle scored a touchdown. On defense, the 49ers had four sacks and two interceptions as they marched away with an outstanding victory over the Seahawks and clinched a playoff spot thanks to the Green Bay Packers losing to the New York Giants.
Seattle Seahawks: D+ (Last week C)
The Seahawks had no Geno Smith due to a groin injury as Drew Lock controlled the offense and lost to the 49ers 16-28. Lock threw two touchdowns against two interceptions while the Seahawks rushing attack was held to 70 yards. DK Metcalf and Colby Parkinson both caught touchdowns on the day. On defense, the Seahawks had three sacks, a fumble recovery, and an interception. The Seahawks need to bounce back from this divisional loss if they want to stay in the playoff hunt and finish the season on a high note with four more weeks to go.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B- (Last week C)
The Buccaneers took down the Atlanta Falcons in a nail-biting 29-25 divisional win which also helps them secure the NFC South for now. Baker Mayfield threw two touchdowns against no interceptions and scored a rushing touchdown. Rachaad White and Cade Otton both scored receiving touchdowns for the Bucs but Mike Evans had one reception for eight yards for a very quiet afternoon. On defense, the Bucs had three sacks and Carlton Davis III had an interception (the Bucs’ only interception of the day.) The Bucs are still alive in a wide-open NFC South with a well-deserved victory over the Falcons.
Tennessee Titans: B- (Last week C+)
The Titans entered Monday Night Football with nothing to lose and they played spoiler as they stunned the Miami Dolphins 28-27 on the road. Will Levis threw one touchdown against an interception, Derrick Henry scored two rushing touchdowns, and DeAndre Hopkins scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Titans had five sacks with Harold Landry III having three of them but the Titans did not have any interceptions on the night. A great win nonetheless as the Titans need to play like this for the remaining four weeks of the season as a playoff spoiler.
Washington Commanders: Bye Week (Last week F)
The Commanders need to make sure Sam Howell plays much better than he has as of late if they want to finish the 2023 season on a positive note or just lose out and secure a high draft pick for the 2024 NFL Draft.
