With week 13 officially in the books, we’re officially seeing teams duking it out for a playoff spot with only five more weeks to go in the regular season while other teams do everything they can to not get mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. We saw some more exciting games in week 13 while other teams struggled and have more question marks around their rosters that will need to retool and regroup for the remaining weeks or rebuild during the 2024 offseason.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL Teams after the week 13 games:
Arizona Cardinals: C+ (Last week D+)
The Cardinals rebounded from their week 12 performance and secured the 24-10 victory against a Pittsburgh Steelers team in the hunt for a playoff spot. Kyler Murray threw one touchdown against no interceptions but was sacked twice. James Conner had himself a homecoming as he rushed for 105 yards and scored two touchdowns against his former team and Trey McBride also scored a touchdown on the afternoon. On defense, the Cardinals didn’t have any sacks or interceptions but did have four pass deflections and a fumble recovery. The Cardinals may only have three wins, but it is nice to see a struggling franchise steal a win from a team that is hunting for a playoff spot.
Atlanta Falcons: C (Last week C+)
The Falcons entered Met Life Stadium and barely secured a 13-8 win over the woeful New York Jets. Desmond Ridder threw one touchdown against zero interceptions but was sacked three times. Bijan Robinson played well on the ground and Kyle Pitts had a good receiving day but MyCole Pruitt scored the only touchdown on the afternoon. On defense, the Falcons had three fumble recoveries, a sack and interception, as they left a rainy and freezing Met Life Stadium- with a victory.

With the Ravens on a bye week, their offense and defense looked great and needs to continue playing well with five more weeks left in the regular season.
Buffalo Bills: Bye Week (Last week B-)
The Bills needs to rebound after their overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and try to win out if they want to make it to the playoffs.
Carolina Panthers: D (Last week D)
The Panthers struggles continue as they fall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an 18-21 loss that also mathematically eliminates them from playoff contention as if they were going to make it in the first place. Bryce Young threw one interception against no touchdowns and was sacked four times while Chubba Hubbard scored the Panther’s only touchdowns in the second half of the game. On defense, the Panthers had one sack and one interception against Baker Mayfield, but their efforts weren’t enough to help lift the Panthers over their NFC South rivals.
Chicago Bears: Bye Week (Last week C+)
The Bear’s may not be the best team in the league but they can scratch out wins when need be but if they lose out, they can use the draft capital they have and have a serious rebuild ahead of them.
Cincinnati Bengals: B (Last week C-)
Despite losing Joe Burrow, the Bengals held their own and succeeded in a very tough environment in Jacksonville against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 34-31 overtime victory. Jake Browning threw one touchdown against zero interceptions, and scored a rushing touchdown but was sacked twice. Joe Mixon rushed for 68 yards on 19 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns and Ja’Marr Chase had 149 receiving yards and scored a touchdown. The Bengal’s defense had four sacks but no interceptions or fumble recoveries in their overtime victory. It was an impressive win for a Bengals team clawing around for a playoff spot and a win, since Burrow is so far out for the season, due to his wrist injury.
Cleveland Browns: C- (Last week D)
The Browns lost 19-36 in a tough road game to the Los Angeles Rams. Joe Flacco, who was signed recently, threw two touchdowns against one interception. Harrison Bryant and Jerome Ford both scored touchdowns while Elijah Moore had a very productive day with 83 receiving yards. On defense, the Browns had no sacks or interceptions but they did have two pass deflections. The Browns made the correct choice picking up Joe Flacco as opposed to use Dorian Thompson-Robinson and PJ Walker despite the loss. Flacco can play very well if he has the right people around him guiding him to victory.
Dallas Cowboys: B (Last week A)
The Cowboys continued their winning ways with a week 13 41-35 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Dak Prescott threw three touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked four times. Tony Pollard scored a rushing touchdown while CeeDee Lamb, Jake Ferguson, and Brandin Cooks all scored receiving touchdowns. On defense, the Cowboys did have a sack but it was against DeeJay Dallas of the Seahawks, and DaRon Bland had an interception on the night. The Cowboys are an elite team and a very scary opponent on all sides of the ball. Best of luck to any opposing offense or defense wanting to get a victory over this Cowboys team.
Denver Broncos: D (Last week B-)
The Bronco’s winning ways have come to an end as the Houston Texans snapped the Broncos five-game win streak with a 17-22 loss. Russell Wilson threw one touchdown against three interceptions and scored a rushing touchdown while Courtland Sutton scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Broncos had five sacks but no interceptions or fumble recoveries. It was a heartbreaking loss for the Broncos as they have been on a hot streak and hunting for a playoff spot despite starting the season with a 1-5 record. The Broncos can bounce back from this loss, as they have so far been playing well, in the second half of the season.
Detroit Lions: B+ (Last week D+)
After an abysmal performance on Thanksgiving, the Lions turned things around in their week 13 road trip 33-28 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Jared Goff threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked once. David Montgomery and Jameson Williams both scored rushing touchdowns while Sam LaPorta and Amon-Ra St. Brown both scored receiving touchdowns. The Packers played very well and won 27-19 against the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Jordan Love threw three touchdowns and no interceptions but was sacked twice. AJ Dillon had a good day with 73 rushing yards, Christian Watson scored two touchdowns but suffered a hamstring injury, and Ben Sims scored a touchdown. On defense, the Packers sacked Patrick Mahomes three times and Keisean Nixon had an interception against him. Houston Texans: B- (Last week C-)
The Texans secured a well-needed 22-17 victory over the Denver Broncos in their week 13 matchup as they hunt for a playoff spot. C.J. Stroud threw one touchdown against no interceptions but was sacked five times. Dameon Pierce scored a rushing touchdown while Nico Collins scored a receiving touchdown but the Texans will be without rookie sensation Tank Dell who’s season ended due to a broken fibula. On defense, the Texans had three interceptions and three sacks as they secure another win for a chance to hunt a playoff spot in the coming weeks.
Indianapolis Colts: B- (Last week B-)
The Colts were down 13-17 to the Tennessee Titans and were able to turn things around in the second half and secure the 31-28 overtime win over their AFC South rivals. Gardner Minshew threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked three times. The Colts rushing attack rushed for 55 yards while Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce both caught touchdowns. On defense, the Colts had six sacks and two fumble recoveries but no interceptions. The Colts played well and continue to be a force in the AFC South as a true wildcard contender.
Jacksonville Jaguars: B- (Last week B)
The Jacksonville Jaguars played a very close and competitive game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football but lost a close one 31-34 in overtime. Trevor Lawrence threw two touchdowns and a rushing touchdown against zero interceptions but left the game with an ankle sprain as CJ Beathard took over for the remainder of the game. Travis Etienne Jr. scored a rushing touchdown, Evan Engram scored a touchdown, and Parker Washington scored a touchdown. On defense, the Jags had two sacks and an interception from Josh Allen. It was a good game from the Jags, but they ultimately fell to the Bengals in a close overtime finish.
Kansas City Chiefs: C- (Last week B)
The Chiefs entered Lambeau Field and were met with a tough 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Patrick Mahomes threw one touchdown against one interception and was sacked three times. Isiah Pacheco rushed for 110 yards and scored a touchdown but was ejected from the game for throwing a punch. Travis Kelce had 81 receiving yards but Noah Gray scored the only receiving touchdown for the Chiefs. On defense, the Chiefs had two sacks but not interceptions or fumble recoveries. The Chiefs are a strong unit but couldn’t secure the victory in a hostel environment in Green Bay.
Las Vegas Raiders: Bye Week (Last week C-)
With the Raiders on a bye week, they need to re-tool for the remaining weeks or lose out so they can earn a high draft pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
Los Angeles Chargers: D (Last week C-)
The Chargers did not play well despite earning a 6-0 win over the struggling New England Patriots. Justin Herbert didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions and wasn’t sacked while the Chargers rushing attack was held to only 29 rushing yards. Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston were productive on the Charger’s offense despite not scoring any touchdowns. The Charger’s only points came from two field goals made by Cameron Dicker in the second quarter. On defense, the Chargers had five sacks but no fumble recoveries or interceptions. It wasn’t the best game for the Chargers but they ended up with the win which is all that matters for a struggling franchise at the end of the day.
Los Angeles Rams: B- (Last week C)
The LA Rams secured another victory for themselves as they defeated the visiting Cleveland Browns 19-36. Matthew Stafford threw three touchdowns against no interceptions and wasn’t sacked at all. It was another major victory for the Dolphins as they make sure they have the AFC East on lock and prepare for their journey into the playoffs.
Minnesota Vikings: Bye Week (Last week D-)
The Vikings need to get out of their two game slump and win out otherwise they’ll miss out of the playoffs.
New England Patriots: D (Last week D-)
The Patriots continued to struggle despite playing a little better than in week 12 in their 0-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Bailey Zappe didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked five times. Ezekiel Elliot and Davante Parker both had very productive performances on the field- despite not scoring any touchdowns. On defense, the Patriots didn’t have an interception, fumble recovery, or any sacks against Justin Herbert but they did have six pass deflections. It was another painful loss for Bill Belichick and his squad as this team desperately needs to hit the reset button when the 2024 offseason begins.
New Orleans Saints: C- (Last week D+)
The Saints continued their losing streak with another tough and painful loss at home to the Detroit Lions. Derek Carr threw one touchdown against one interception and was sacked twice before leaving the game with a shoulder injury, a possible rib injury, and a concussion as Jamesis Winston took over. Taysom Hill did score a rushing touchdown while Alvin Kamara scored two rushing touchdowns, and Jimmy Graham scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Saints had one sack and two pass deflections but no interceptions or fumble recoveries. The Saints are starting to regress, despite playing in the NFC South, which is still considered wide open between them, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Atlanta Falcons.
New York Giants: Bye Week (Last week D+)
The Giants may have been struggling all season long but they do have Tyrod Taylor returning to practice but have Tommy DeVito starting for week 14 which means he has to be ready to either win out or do whatever he can to keep the Giants relevant for the remainder of the season.
New York Jets: D (Last week D)
The Jets are still a bit of a mess as they fell to the Atlanta Falcons in an 8-13 loss. Tim Boyle threw one interception and no touchdowns before getting benched for Trevor Siemian in the second half. Dalvin Cook played decently as he rushed for 35 yards while Xavier Gipson caught five receptions for 77 yards and Garrett Wilson caught three receptions for 50 yards. On defense, the Jets had three sacks and three pass deflections but no interceptions on the wet and rainy afternoon. It was a tough performance in the cold and frigid rain as the Jets continue to struggle without a true quarterback, as Aaron Rodgers recovers from his Achilles injury.
Philadelphia Eagles: D+ (Last week A-)

Pittsburgh Steelers: D+ (Last week C+)
The Steelers did not come with their A-game as they fell at home to the Arizona Cardinals in a stunning 10-24 loss. Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel both scored rushing touchdowns while Samuel scored two receiving touchdowns, Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings a touchdown each. The 49ers showed why they’re one of the most complete NFL teams in the league, with their statement blowout victory over the Eagles.
Seattle Seahawks: C (Last week D+)
The Seahawks were able to turn things around from their Thanksgiving loss against the Dallas Cowboys but came short in the week 13 35-41 loss at AT&T Stadium. Zach Charbonnet had a good day on the ground with 60 rushing yards and scored a rushing touchdown and DK Metcalf scored three touchdowns on the night. The Seahawks may have stepped up on offense, but need to also step up on defense, if they want to compete for a spot in the playoffs.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: C (Last week C-)
The Buccaneers may not be the best team in the league, but they managed to get by the Carolina Panthers- and defeat them 21-18. Will Levis threw one touchdown against zero interception but was sacked six times. Derrick Henry had a very productive day and scored two rushing touchdowns and DeAndre Hopkins scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Titans had three sacks and a fumble recovery but no interceptions. The Titans need to make improvements to their offensive line and protect Levis, as well as rebuild and retool for the 2024 season.
