Week one of the NFL regular season gave us a lot of memorable games to enjoy as many heavily favored teams battled for success. However, not everyone started off the 2024 season on a high note, as they took a painful loss to begin their seasons. Some teams will continue to bulldoze their way to victory, while others will continue to or begin to implode. It’s still early in the 2024 season for struggling teams to turn things around, but for other NFL teams, it may be too little too late.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL teams after week two.
Which NFL teams have the highest grade this season after week two of action?
Arizona Cardinals: A-
The Cardinals rebounded and dominated their NFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, in a 41-10 statement victory. Kyler Murray threw three touchdowns against no interceptions, James Conner scored a rushing touchdown, Elijah Higgins scored a touchdown, and Marvin Harrison Jr. scored two touchdowns. On defense, the Cardinals had a fumble recovery and five sacks on the afternoon. This win could be the x-factor the Cardinals need, as they hope to make some noise in the highly competitive NFC West conference in the coming weeks.
Atlanta Falcons: A-
The Falcons played a very competitive battle in their 22-21 come-from-behind victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Kirk Cousins threw two touchdowns against no interceptions, Bijan Robinson rushed for 97 yards on 14 carries, Darnell Mooney caught a touchdown pass in the first half of the game, and Drake London caught the game-winning touchdown with 34 seconds left in the game. On defense, the Falcons had two sacks, and Jessie Bates III sealed the deal with a game-ending interception against Jalen Hurts. This Falcons’ team entered the game as heavy underdogs and proved doubters wrong with a statement win in prime time!
Baltimore Ravens: C-

It has been very shocking to see the Ravens start the 2024 season with two losses, as they dropped a 23-26 shocker to the Las Vegas Raiders. Lamar Jackson threw a touchdown against an interception but was sacked twice by Maxx Crosby, Derrick Henry scored a rushing touchdown, and Zay Flowers scored a touchdown. On defense, the Ravens had five sacks and a Marlon Humphrey interception. The Ravens were also foiled by the Raiders in their comeback attempt at the very end of the game. They need to move on from their fourth-quarter collapse before they fall behind against their competition.
Buffalo Bills: B
After coming from behind and defeating the Arizona Cardinals, the Bills traveled to South Beach and beat the Miami Dolphins 31-10. Josh Allen threw a touchdown against an interception, while James Cook scored two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown. Khalil Shakir caught five receptions for 54 yards. On Defense, the Bills had two sacks, four pass deflections, and two interceptions, showcasing from the Bills all around, as Josh Allen and James Cook are men who can find ways to win the toughest of games on the road.
Carolina Panthers: F
The Panthers played a disastrous game, as they fell to the Los Angeles Chargers 3-26. Bryce Young was benched the day after the game for Andy Dalton, as he threw an interception against no touchdowns and was sacked twice. Chubba Hubbard played decently with 64 rushing yards, and the Panthers’ receiving core had 84 receiving yards all game. On defense, the Panthers had no answers about stopping J.K. Dobbins or the Chargers’ passing attack, but they did have a sack and an interception. It is way past time for the Panthers to hit the reset button, fast, if they want to have a somewhat respectable 2024 season moving forward.
Chicago Bears: D-
Reality kicked in as the Bears were defeated 13-19 against the Houston Texans in primetime. Caleb Williams threw two interceptions against no touchdowns and was sacked seven times. The Bears’ rushing attack was held to 71 yards all game, with Khalil Herbert scoring the team’s only touchdown on the night, and DJ Moore had a decent game with 53 receiving yards. On defense, the Bears had three sacks and no turnovers, as they had no answers for stopping C.J. Stroud. Williams and the Bears’ offense needs to improve quickly. Otherwise, they’ll continue dropping more games as the season continues.
Cincinnati Bengals: B-
The Bengals almost were able to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs but lost 25-26 thanks to Harrison Butker kicking the game-winning field goal. Joe Burrow improved his play from week one with two touchdown passes against no interceptions. However, the Bengals’ rushing attack was held to 74 yards all game, and Andrei Iosivas scored the Bengals’ only two touchdowns, while Ja’Marr Chase had a rough afternoon with his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. On defense, the Bengals had two sacks and two interceptions against Patrick Mahomes. Despite their efforts, the Bengals have to improve their rushing attack and make sure Chase’s attitude is checked out, as his penalty hurt the Bengals’ chances of winning the game.

Cleveland Browns: C+
The Browns rebounded after their embarrassing week one loss with a very close 18-13 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Deshaun Watson threw no touchdowns or interceptions yet scored a rushing touchdown, Jerome Ford rushed for 64 yards on seven carries, and Jerry Jeudy caught five receptions for 73 yards. On defense, the Browns had four sacks and five pass deflections but no defensive turnovers. This win for the Browns was thanks to their defense stepping up and making Trevor Lawrence’s day a painful nightmare.
Dallas Cowboys: D
After winning in week one, the Cowboys were humiliated at home by the New Orleans Saints 19-44. Dak Prescott threw a touchdown against two costly interceptions, CeeDee Lamb managed to score a touchdown, and the Cowboys’ rushing attack was almost non-existent. On defense, the Cowboys had a sack and an interception. It was a brutal afternoon for the Cowboys, as they needed to look back at the film and see how to rebound from a painful loss like this for week three.
Denver Broncos: F
The Broncos played a very sloppy game, as they were defeated in their home opener to the Pittsburgh Steelers 6-13. Bo Nix threw two interceptions and no touchdowns, the Broncos rushing attack was held to 64 rushing yards all game, and Josh Reynolds caught four receptions for 93 yards. On defense, the Broncos had two sacks and no defensive turnovers. It was a brutal afternoon for the Broncos, as they couldn’t get points on the board until the fourth quarter, thanks to kicker Will Lutz. The Broncos have to improve their rushing attack and make sure Nix doesn’t throw costly turnovers.
Detroit Lions: C-
It was a somewhat sloppy showcasing for the Lions despite playing a very competitive battle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jared Goff threw two interceptions against no touchdowns, David Montgomery scored the only touchdown for the Lions, and Amon-Ra St. Brown had a very productive afternoon. On defense, the Lions had five sacks against Baker Mayfield and secured an interception against him. Even though the Lions lost 16-20, the defense put a huge amount of pressure on Mayfield, and they can very easily smother their opponents defensively, but they need to play better offensively and secure wins.
Green Bay Packers: B-
The Packers bounced back from their week one loss with a 16-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts that came down to the wire. Backup quarterback Malik Willis threw a touchdown against no interceptions and wasn’t sacked at all. Josh Jacobs had a strong day on the ground with 153 rushing yards, and Dontayvion Wicks scored a touchdown. On defense, the Packers had a sack and three interceptions. Despite Willis throwing one touchdown pass all game, kicker Brayden Narveson kept the Packers in it, with three of four kicks made. Willis will perform just fine on the field as Jordan Love recovers from his MCL sprain.
Houston Texans: B+
The Texans secured their second win of the season in a strong 19-13 victory over the Chicago Bears. C.J. Stroud threw a touchdown against no interceptions, and Nico Collins scored that very touchdown. However, the Bears’ rushing attack was held to 75 yards all game. On defense, the Texans had seven sacks and two interceptions on the night. Despite the running game needing to step it up, the Texans’ other ace in the deck was Ka’imi Fairbairn, who scored four field goals during the entire game.
Indianapolis Colts: D+
It was a brutal first half for the Indianapolis Colts as their attempted comeback wasn’t enough in their 10-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Anthony Richardson threw a touchdown against three interceptions, Jonathan Taylor had a bounce-back game with 103 rushing yards on the ground, and Alec Pierce caught a touchdown. On defense, the Colts had a fumble recovery but no sacks. It was great to see Jonathan Taylor command a strong ground game, but the Colts needed to get into the end zone in the first half, and the defense couldn’t put pressure on backup quarterback Malik Willis.
Jacksonville Jaguars: D+
The Jaguars had a tough Sunday as they fell to the Cleveland Browns 13-18 at home. Trevor Lawrence threw no touchdowns or interceptions but was sacked four times, Travis Etienne Jr. scored this NFL team’s only touchdown, and Brian Thomas Jr. caught two receptions for 94 yards. On defense, the Jaguars had two sacks but no defensive turnovers. If the Jaguars continue to play sloppy and not earn that elusive win, it may be time to hit the reset button and hope for a high draft pick for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Kansas City Chiefs: B+
The Chiefs survived another intense battle in their last second 26-25 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdowns against two interceptions. Isiah Pacheco rushed for 90 yards, but he suffered a fractured fibula in the game. Meanwhile, Rashee Rice and Wayne Morris both scored receiving touchdowns, and Travis Kelce had a very quiet afternoon. On defense, the Chiefs had three sacks and a fumble recovery but no interceptions. Despite the Chiefs’ win, some cracks are showing, as losing Pacheco is going to hurt if he’s out long-term. However, no one should count the Chiefs out, as they still have Mahomes, who knows how to win games.
Las Vegas Raiders: B
The Raiders rebounded from their week one defeat and earned a statement 26-23 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Gardner Minshew threw a touchdown against an interception but was sacked five times. The Raiders’ rushing attack was held to only 27 yards all game, while Davante Adams scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Raiders had two sacks, Robert Spillane had an interception, and the unit prevented the Ravens from coming back to win the game. The Raiders need to improve their rushing attack. However, Davante Adams had a very strong game, and kicker Daniel Carlson was four for four on-field goals made.
Los Angeles Chargers: B+
The Chargers continued their winning ways as they easily defeated the Carolina Panthers 26-3. Justin Herbert threw two touchdowns against one interception, J.K. Dobbins had another strong game as he scored a rushing touchdown, and Quentin Johnston had a good game as he hauled in two receiving touchdowns. On defense, the Chargers had two sacks and an interception on the afternoon. The Jim Harbaugh effect is paying off as the Chargers are not only undefeated, but they are also playing incredibly good football on both sides of the ball.
Los Angeles Rams: D
The Rams traveled to the desert and were crushed 10-41 by the Arizona Cardinals in a very lackluster game. Matthew Stafford threw no touchdowns or interceptions but lost a fumble, Kyren Williams scored the Rams’ only touchdown on the day, and Cooper Kupp left the game with an ankle injury. On defense, the Rams had a sack but no defensive turnovers. It was an abysmal performance by the Rams. They have a lot of issues to work on, as well as making sure their starters get healthy, especially in Kupp’s case. The Rams’ defense also gave up 489 yards against the Cardinals, which is a massive problem as Aaron Donald is no longer on this NFL team and is currently enjoying retirement.
Miami Dolphins: D
It was a rough Thursday night for the Dolphins, as they fell to the Buffalo Bills 10-31. Tua Tagovailoa threw one touchdown against three interceptions. However, things got scary for Tagovailoa, as he suffered a frightening concussion and left the game. We hope Tua has a speedy recovery. De’Von Achane had 96 rushing yards and scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Dolphins couldn’t stop James Cook and had no sacks or turnovers. It was a painful night for the Dolphins, and we hope Tagovailoa recovers well and that this NFL team can rebound.
Minnesota Vikings: B+
The Vikings returned home and stunned the San Francisco 49ers 23-17. Sam Darnold threw two touchdowns against an interception, Ty Chandler had 82 rushing yards, and both Justin Jefferson and Jalen Nailor scored touchdowns, with Jefferson scoring his on a 97-yard run. However, Justin Jefferson suffered a quad injury, which is considered day-to-day. On defense, the Vikings had six sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery. This Vikings team is so far proving a lot of doubters wrong, with excellent performances on both sides of the ball and excellent determination so far this NFL season.
New England Patriots: B-
The Patriots played a good game despite losing 23-20 in overtime to the Seattle Seahawks. Jacoby Brissett threw a touchdown against no interceptions but was sacked three times, Rhamondre Stevenson scored a rushing touchdown, and Ja’Lynn Polk scored a touchdown. On defense, the Patriots had three sacks but no turnovers. The Pats were identical to the Seahawks but were undone due to the Seahawks kicking a game-winning field goal. The Patriots will move on and surely earn more wins.
New Orleans Saints: A-
The Saints continue to massively impress, as they defeated the Dallas Cowboys in a 44-19 statement win. Derek Carr threw two touchdowns against an interception and a rushing touchdown, Alvin Kamara scored three rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown, and Rashid Shaheed scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Saints had three sacks and two interceptions. If the Saints continue to play this way, they might be able to take control of the NFC South from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in powerful fashion.
New York Giants: C
Even though the Giants played slightly better than what we saw in week one and scored touchdowns, they still lost to the Washington Commanders 18-21 thanks to kicker Austin Seibert kicking seven field goals. Daniel Jones threw two touchdown passes against no interceptions, Devin Singletary scored a rushing touchdown but lost a fumble, and both Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson scored receiving touchdowns. On defense, the Giants had five sacks but no defensive turnovers. The Giants played a lot better than what we saw in week one, but still have some work to do, if they want to enter the win column this season.
New York Jets: B
The Jets are back in the win column as they traveled to Nashville, TN, and defeated the Tennessee Titans 24-17. Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdowns against no interceptions but was sacked twice, Breece Hall rushed for 62 yards and scored a receiving touchdown, Braelon Allen scored a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown, and Garrett Wilson had 50 receiving yards. On defense, the Jets had four sacks, a fumble recovery, and an interception. It was a nice bounce-back victory for Gang Green as they look to show the world they don’t want to be a laughingstock in the NFL.
Philadelphia Eagles: B-
The Eagles played a very competitive battle against the Atlanta Falcons but ended up losing 21-22. Jalen Hurts threw a touchdown against an interception (which ended up being the game-ender to Jessie Bates III) and scored a rushing touchdown, Saquon Barkley rushed for 95 yards on 22 carries, and DeVonta Smith scored a touchdown. On defense, the Eagles had one sack but no defensive turnovers all game. Despite the brutal, heartbreaking one-point loss, the Eagles are also going to be without A.J. Brown, who will miss a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.
Pittsburgh Steelers: B
Justin Fields is continuing to have a career renaissance, as he and the Steelers defeated the Denver Broncos 13-6. Fields threw his first touchdown pass of the season against no interceptions, Najee Harris rushed for 69 yards on 17 carries, and Darnell Washington scored a touchdown, but the Steelers’ receiving depth had a very quiet afternoon. On defense, the Steelers had two sacks and two interceptions. The Steelers are slowly reviving Fields’ NFL career, but the team has to improve their passing attack moving forward.
San Francisco 49ers: D+
What on earth happened to the 49ers as they struggled in their 17-23 loss to the Minnesota Vikings? Brock Purdy threw a touchdown against an interception, was sacked six times, and lost a fumble. Jordan Mason scored a rushing touchdown, and George Kittle scored a touchdown but left the game with an unknown injury. On defense, the 49ers had two fumble recoveries, four sacks, and an interception. The 49ers are usually a very diversely talented team on all sides of the ball, but dropping unexpectedly shows signs of concern for the 49ers moving forward on whether they can win the NFC West.
Seattle Seahawks: B
The Seahawks extended their undefeated season with a 23-20 overtime win against the New England Patriots. Geno Smith threw a touchdown against no interceptions, Zach Charbonnet scored a rushing touchdown, and DK Metcalf scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Seahawks had three sacks but no turnovers. Thankfully, Seahawks kicker Jason Myers nailed three kicks, including the game-winner, in overtime, giving the team the win to keep their undefeated NFL season alive despite being evenly matched with the Patriots.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B-
The Bucs returned to Ford Field for the first time since their NFC Divisional Round loss to the Detroit Lions and got their revenge in a 20-16 victory. Baker Mayfield threw a touchdown against an interception and scored a rushing touchdown. However, the Bucs’ rushing attack was held to only 70 yards all game, and Chris Godwin scored a receiving touchdown.
On defense, the Bucs had no sacks or fumble recoveries, but they did have two interceptions against Jared Goff. It was a very close and competitive game for the Bucs, but the only thing that mattered was that they won and are getting prepared for the Denver Broncos come week three.
Tennessee Titans: C-
The Titans had another tough Sunday as they fell to the New York Jets at home 17-24. Will Levis threw a touchdown against an interception but was sacked four times, Tony Pollard rushed for 62 yards, and Calvin Ridley had a nice game with a rushing and receiving touchdown. On defense, the Titans had two sacks but no turnovers. Despite the team struggling early on the game, Levis showed some promise in the fourth quarter, but DeAndre Hopkins continues to be a non-factor for the Titans, as he had one reception for nine yards all game.
Washington Commanders: C-
Despite getting the 21-18 win over the New York Giants, the Commanders still have some work to do. Jayden Daniels looked good despite not scoring any touchdowns or throwing interceptions, Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 133 yards on 17 carries, and Zach Ertz caught four receptions for 62 yards. On defense, the Commanders had one sack and a fumble recovery. The Commanders are very lucky. Kicker Austin Seibert had a very productive game by scoring seven field goals in the afternoon, as the team needs to score more receiving touchdowns moving forward this NFL season.
